I don't know any mormons, but I know people who have and one thing that seems to ring true is that they would give you the shirt off their backs. I think THAT
is what didn't "sit right" with Jodi. It is clear to me that she was struggling with her own demons, playing the skank, luring and bobbing him, and taking advantage of his good nature. I'm beginning to think that his murder was not only about revenge, but about sheer jealousy too.

I agree. It's obvious how so many people LOVED Travis. There are so many accounts of how generous he was, how he could light up a room, how he was friends with everyone. I have seen some of that first hand. I don't remember ever seeing him without a smile on his face. (granted I didn't see him THAT often) but when I did he had a smile on his face. From what I've seen from his friends (some of whom are mutual friends and I'm friends with them on FB) They all have very positive things to say about him. Many, many people mourned the loss of Travis. I do believe she was very jealous of his personality and the amount of people who truly did love him.

I've always felt that a big component of her attraction to Travis was that he was a likeable person who had a large circle of good friends. She didn't really seem to have that. I can imagine her sitting up in her messy bedroom in Yreka thinking about all the fun social events Travis was constantly involved in and really wishing she would have that type of life. Travis was her ticket to that life. Along with a nice house, nice cars, vacations, etc.

I should add, she was also aware that based on her own personality, she would never be able to make the kind of genuine relationships that Travis did. I think on some level she was deeply envious of that. And that was yet another layer of her obsession with him and her rage at him when he didn't want her anymore.

I totally agree, about the jealousy. She was probably VERY jealous of the things he had: good friends, good income, the ability to travel the world, the life he had accomplished for himself... the things she LACKED in her life. He really seemed like a truly generous person. I'm sure she pegged that as something she could use to manipulate him with, that generosity. When she realized it had finally run out, that he was moving along in his life - without her - she probably saw any hopes of having those things for herself going with him. I'd guess that's part of what made her snap.
