I remember....waaaaay back when. When Jodi first took the stand. I was so anxious to FINALLY hear this girl's testimony. 8 (um...9) dayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz later, I was so anxious to FINALLY hear this girl's testimony with JM at the helm. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Now, I am no longer anxious to hear anything she has to say. I am convinced, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she HAS nothing to say that amounts to a defense. She seduced Travis and, when she could not possess what she wanted most (his love), she slaughtered him. Planned. And carried out. She executed him. Sadly, I don't think we will ever know "why"....Jodi is going to take that secret to her grave. :/

Honestly? She pre-planned a lot of what she was going to do. I have no problem believing that she might have wanted to mutilate Travis sexually, but did not do so because of how it would look.

Stabbing someone, especially the number of times she did, and the wounds she inflicted (heart, slit throat) to me are signs of some level of personal connection. It was up-close and more intimate than shooting someone. I also think that sexual mutilation would convey some idea of sexual intimacy or interest with the victim, and she surely did not want police to come to that sort of conclusion.

I'm not saying that sexual mutilation always involves closeness or desire for sexual intimacy/connection with the victim. I'm just saying that if they had found that kind of injury, that's not something you would expect with regards to say, a robbery or random crime.

Dear Diary,

One word to describe today? Sextifying! Oh how I have missed it. Nurmi is really great about bringing out all of my strong points. I am hoping tomorrow is another hot and steamy day.

I noticed Travis' brother in the front row. He just could not take his eyes off of me! I must be so captivating. I wonder if he is, um, single? Maybe after I am free I can give him a call? He is a real hotti biscotti if I have ever seen one!

Donovan is so obsessed with me. I can't say that I blame her of course. I have this pull on people. I guess it is the "Law of Attraction" at work. I put out positive vibes to the universe and the universe answers! I have more friends and love interests now than I ever have before. Anyhow, back to Donovan. She has promised me that if for some bizarre and unimaginable reason I am not found innocent of murdering Travis, she will break the law as soon as she can so that she can be locked up with me. How great is that? She is willing to throw the rest of her life away for me. Of course, if I am acquitted, as I know I will be, I plan on never seeing that weirdo again. Why would I? She would serve me no purpose. I am not friends with girls anyhow. I know, she is barely a girl, and that is why I let her be my friend at this time. But, when I am free I will have my pick of REAL boys, and I will not need her.

Spoiler alert! Today Nurmi mentioned my new series called, "History of Anal Sex." I have already written volumes 1-16. I still have so much more to write. This is going to be a huge hit. Who wouldn't want to know all about my history of anal sex? Donovan is in charge of promotion and pre-orders. I know my fans will be so excited!

Hey, I saw/heard this too and actually questioned what I heard because the word I read on the screen was different. Whether we heard it different or not, or mind is more apt to remember what we read. IMO, this is actually more important than you may realize. Travis hardly swore. We don't read him swearing in his text messages, except 1 time when he tells her to go f--k someone else in the woods. Most of the time it's fricken...or freakin'. The defense coyly changing his mild spoken word like porking to f--cking is underhanded. I wish JM had caught that and objected. Jodi keeps saying Travis swore at her and she seriously considered having a family with the guy because of the abusive language, etc. I just think the word change was a sneaky and mischaracterized Travis. The whole edited tape was a shifty underhanded, and desperate ploy, but that word switch was bold and trashy.

IMO, the state has proven 1st degree murder. The rental car thing, the gas containers, etc. all show that she planned this. Why go through all of that if you weren't trying to hide your identity or leave a trail to the murder scene?

Also, she blew the self defense theory out when she stabbed him so many times in the back. That isn't self defense, that is rage.

The edited sex tape 2.0 made me really mad. I honestly think this is how they wanted to present it from the start, but Martinez objected and said they had to play the whole thing. I think Nurmi is just tickled pink that the judge allowed the revised version in the the redirect.

My hope is that the judge allows a recross (it is up to her discretion) and that Martinez presents his own revised sex tape. We can call it sex tape 3.0. It can be with Travis' voice cut out and only have Jodi's voice and moaning. Turnabout is fair play.

I think she planned on this. Not because of any rape or sexual abuse, but because she wanted him to be humiliated in death for not loving her the way she wanted him to love her. He wouldn't marry her or have children with her. I think she intended on the mutilation, but when the attack didn't play out the way she planned it, she had to throw that out the window. IDK. Recross is technically not suppose to be another bite at the apple, but with death cases, it's hard to say. The judge has allowed the defense a lot of lead-way in this case. Jodi has the right to tell her story however long that takes.
We may be bored with her, the jury may be bored....but she does have that right. Because this is somebody's life- she deserves her say. IMO
The longer Jodi is being questioned, the more the defense is hurting their own case (IMO)

I suspect if she's found guilty, one day this will all end up in appeal due to a terrible defense.

I personally don't think she helped her case at all yesterday. If the jury feels an iota of the insult I felt yesterday - they will return the DP she so deserves.

There are a few things they could have fought against being allowed in court.
The floor mat testimony- koolaid stains. It should never have made it in court. The state had no piece of evidence about that stuff. They never even said if they tested the kool aid as being blood. Really the only thing I think the Budget guy should have said was that he rented Jodi a car and she returned it a day late (after Jodi called and got approval to have the car a day late-which was never brought out)
The stalker stuff. So far most of that has been hearsay from people that hate Jodi and admit that on the stand
The gun-they should have fought against that. The state can't prove Jodi robbed her grandparents.

Not even counting all the freaking time the Def should have objected to JM's cross. If I was a def. attorney, my back would have been killing me b/c I would have been jumping up so much, I would have pulled something.

So did the def. do everything it could have done? That's yet to be seen-but I don't think so.

i sure hope so. it's my first morning without "In Session" and i'm having massive withdrawals! i loved the commentary and recaps from the prior day's testimony and i'm really missing it today. not sure how much longer the re-direct sexapalooza is going to continue, but i'd like to think it will be over soon.
