This^^^^ However, the sequence is vital to Jodi's defense of 'self-defense.' That's the main reason it still looms so large in the trial.

They do note that jurors will be allowed to ask their questions of Jodi after Nurmi's re-direct is done. Of course now we have the jury question basket where their questions are read in court, but I noticed early on in the trial, that the judge would ask a show of hands for anyone that had a question (the clips I viewed, there were no questions). Any idea why that was changed?

And finally a short bit on the court reporter. http://www.hlntv.com/article/2013/03...er?hpt=hln10_1 I am a fast typist, but 300 words per minute?!
This is nuts!! i did a google search for the court reporter typewriter. This is is what it looks like and this is how it looks when they type it out. It's pretty much a second language

Here's another link to the 'crocodile brain' defense of the murder of Nancy Eaton by Andrew Leyshon-Hughes. It happened in 1985. Not much on the Internet but it is worth looking at.http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/...-timothy-eaton

that sums it up well. It was quite masterful of Nurmi, I know people hate to hear that but credit is where credit is due. JM gets up and follows right along 'rope'.
The importance imo is, it was the focus of one of the jury questions! So we have the State deliberately trying to imply it is a thread, fiber, pillow fringe ... then there they are, stuck answering the jury question, did you test it ... No.
Those are the type of tricks that darkens the States credibility if it left a juror thinking they were trying to pull a fast one. And, it gave JA a wild card to call it anything she wants now and add a story to it.

The question left the is, did JM appease the questioning juror on cross with picking her story apart about it?

Bullet in the shower removed by JA. hum, great thought. I get to where I discount so much of what the liar says, but, maybe that is why defiant Jodi kept insisting that isn't where it landed.
one room mate was in and out - there as never been an accusation that the crime scene was contaminated by the room mate or the police - not even by the defense

If there was no blood on the underside, then the casing landed on the blood after it dried. This would mean the casing was given a swift kick hours/days after the attack, period.

Interesting, I didn't realize Jodi has insisted the casing didn't land where it was found. Where is she stating it landed?
the casing was found on top of the blood by the door stop next to the closet door it appears - it looks like the blood might have dried with the casing there - though we never have seen the full report from the csi to be sure - if it is something different, i would have thought the defense would have brought it up on the cross of the csi lady

why do you keep referring to him as a so called expert - he is the ME he is the one w/ the knowledge and experience, he doesn't get paid more or less for his testimony so he has no reason to skew the results either way - unless he was standing there watching jodi kill travis he has to depend on his knowledge and experience - if the defense has an expert that agrees w/ you are, are you going to say he is right then even though he would be a hired gun and would have a monetary reason to say that?

Juan got a ton of rephrase, ask a different question on JA. Nurmi did good objecting actually. Many saw Juan arguing needlessly spending too much time. I had to agree sometimes, but, he talks faster, with passion, comes up with some great one liners, so for me it's not comparable to the dreaded Nurmi. He is just so boring! I realize the man has to do a job but lordy zzzzzz. I hate we have to suffer through his crawling drawl yet again.
martinez didn't object as much because the more jodi talked - the more details, the more evidence she gave to prove she was a liar - and as far as you keep saying martinez spent needless time on details, that he left to many things not wrapped up or that he missed things jodi said - we don't know that - he hasn't finished, we don't know who or what the rebuttal witnesses will bring to the table, not counting his closing arguements that should bring every thing full circle

i was reading an article written by an arizona criminal atty that said in arizona it is up to the judges discretion on whether martinez will be allowed a redirect after nurmi is done - i can find the statute again if you want - she prolly will since she has already let them do it b4 w/ flores, even after jury questions too

it i obviously important since the prosecutor and defense keep arguing this fact, the part i don't get is why you feel the need to discount every thing every expert has to say in this case - the ME who has tons of experience - who i have not been able to find any complaints against him in any other trial - that the crime scene must be contaminated, even though no one has brought that up, that martinez, who has amazing court record is not cross examining his witnesses or jodi right - every one has the right to their own opinion and to discuss all the aspects of the case, thats why we are all here, but i just don't understand why you just decide to throw all the evidence out the window, but not have a reason?

He [Enrique] and the boyfriend went into the bedroom
They saw blood every where and they went further into the room
They weren't very long, and then the roommate RAN out, 'he's dead, he's dead'

Thank you for posting this! I've always wondered what type of machine they are typing on. I knew they used a shorthand type method of sorts, but I was surprised to see what the printout looks like. No wonder they make so much money! Pretty amazing, I'd say!!

Something just occurred to me... Several people here have speculated that the gun jammed. When Martinez was questioning Jodi about the gun and where it was kept, he asked her where the ammunition was. Seems to me she got a funny look on her face and replied "in the gun." I don't think any ammunition was reported stolen from the grandparents' house either. Maybe she thought there were more rounds in the gun than there were? Maybe there was only one bullet...

Jodi's mother had the box of ammunition. Jodi had the entire box of it, gave it to her mother to "hold" as she was packing up her car to take off right before she was arrested.

Thank you! I hadn't heard about this. But since it was just before her arrest was the ammo for the 25 calibre murder weapon or for the 9mm she bought later? (I know nothing about guns; these are the numbers I remember from testimony - I think!)

Okay, so blood on the bottom of the casing. I agree the casing wasn't moved by roommates, first responders, or crime scene investigators. I do believe it is possible the casing was moved during the struggle.

The multi-quote function has been encouraged over and over, along with instructions on how to use the multi-quote. I don't know what the issue really is. Is it people are phone posting and are unable to? (rhetorical) Sometimes, the thread moved along while I am responding to a post, so I do understand sometimes it just happens. But some people are repeat offenders.

Also, the off topic chatter. Take it to Chit Chat. If there is a hundred and one cases you want to link in here, please refrain and link it in Chit Chat. You can jack that thread up any way you want, so have at it! Every thread gets off topic, but this thread is a red headed step child. It is the biggest beef with new and older members. You have something to discuss that is off topic, post ONE comment about it and say you would like to discuss in Chit Chat.

Ex: "Omg, Jodi is wearing a periwinkle granny shirt. Let's go to Chit Chat and discuss!"

    Here is the link:

Maybe the Chit Chat thread link can be tagged on here.

This is a very good point. Maybe the gun only had one bullet in it.

if no ammunition was missing from the grandparents house where did the bullet come from? It didn't jam, it clicked and nothing happened because there was only one.I would doubt she would even know how to load it
