I understand that it can be offensive. After I wrote it, and before I posted it, I worried about that potential. I expected some people to be offended. Humor can be very painful and tragic, laughing can be very close to sadness, comedy is tragedy. The trial has become something of a farce at this point, with the intimate parts of people's lives now part of the public domain and popular culture. Like it or not, the people involved with the trial have become larger than life characters. I think humor is one way to put across a message, get people's attention, and make you think. Some of the best comedy is extremely offensive.

My real intention is to stimulate discussion of what do you think went down, from Travis's perspective? We have heard from every other person. Share your thoughts.

And this from someone who actually knew Travis. Nuff said.

    Sorry about that, tiggrrl72077.
Thanks :) :hugs: I don't claim to have known him very well. But I did know him and I respected him. I feel bad that I didn't take the opportunity to get to know him better. I was engaged to my husband when I met him and was more focused on my husband and on my upcoming marriage than getting to know any other guy. I have many friends in common with him and his name is held in very high regard. I know many of the girls he dated and none of them have a bad thing to say about him. I wish he had been given the chance to fulfill his dreams.

I am 100% convinced that Jodi had shoes on and took them off at some point. The pic with the shoe/sock in it looks like a shoe to me. I think there is a sole on the bottom. Socks don't have soles. Jodi likely burned the shoes or threw them in the desert or a dumpster.

    Definitely not the same cat.

Still not him. The guy in the red looks even less like him than the guy in the sunglasses.

I felt uncomfortable reading it. It paints Travis in a douche bag sort of light. If you think Travis really was a douche bag, you would likely find it funny.

But, I do the "Dear Diary" posts, and I'm sure they can be offensive as well, so I don't really have a right to point fingers at anyone.

I will say though, that I try to not be disparaging to Travis at all since he is the victim, not the cold blooded murderer. Of course, if you are anti Travis and Pro Jodi, you would be very offended by them. I don't think anyone at the "Jodi Arias Is (not even close to being) Innocent" site is laughing at them at all.

Funny is in the eye (ear?) of the beholder I guess.

A lot of people speculate that she cleaned herself in the shower AFTER she dragged Travis' body there. Disgusting, isn't it?

    Welcome!
I think this was the problem I had with it the most. I understand satirical humor and I find it funny a lot of the time. I find the dear diary posts hilarious but that is because I don't care for Jodi at all. I guess if you believe the lies Jodi tells then you would find the other funny.

This last part is why I am looking forward to Martinez's closing so much. I think he will bring it all together. Including those awful minutes while Jodi was butchering him.

Question: why does everyone assume that he was attacked and/or threatened with a weapon while he was sitting in the shower?

What evidence is there of that?

Time stamps. He was either sitting or may have been trying to stand up.

I believe we have pics of him sitting in shower, then a pic of the ceiling and then over a minute later we have him being dragged.

How does that prove he was sitting in the shower when he was first attacked?

I was a bit bummed that JM didn't bring up the fact that Jodi stopped having sex with Brewer after her newfound Mormon religion. Yet she claims she didn't know better with Travis.

I think it's black socks. I think the black socks were thrown in the laundry as well...If I am not mistaken, they found black socks in the laundry. She may have put on shoes when she walked out of the house, but I think during the murder, she only had on those socks.

I thought yesterday I heard her say that she did shower over his body...right before she talked about the cup that was under the bathroom sink. Did anyone else hear this. (I have to be honest and note that I was doing something else while listening so it's possible I misheard it.)

Also, someone else said she closed his eyes. Did she say this or was it assumed? I thought (based on references to the full face autopsy photo that has not been posted here) that his eyes were open.

I'm not sure he was sitting. I'm thinking he was possibly trying to stand..or facing her to get out and she stabbed him straight to chest. But what I do think, is that ceiling photo was her pushing the camera button as she was stabbing him, and that pic faces the shower as if she is almost directly in front of it.

since it was never proved it was jodi, martinez didn't want it in court because it could be prejudicial and cause an appeal or mistrial

I think a lot of people just assume that because he was in a vulernable position. We know from the timestamps and all the evidence that the attack had to start right after the last picture, so I think some have thought he was already being held at gun or knifepoint in the last couple of pics. I personally think he wasn't, and that she caught him by surprise right after that...but we will never know. Even if Jodi told the whole story now and admitted it wasn't self defense I still think she has lied so much that we will never know the 100% truth.

Did anyone else think it odd that at the end of trial yesterday, when Jodi was crying, none of her council made an effort to console her? I mean, not even an "Are you ok?". At least in the CA case Jose Biaz seemed sympathetic towards his client. It seems that EVEN THEY aren't buying it...

First off, I do believe that Jodi was doing a 'photo shoot', getting Travis into a vulnerable position. The photos are not good because that was not her intent and her mind was on the weapons and her plan. She was probably talking almost constantly: "That's good, honey, hold it right there. Okay, turn and face the back wall so I can get your back. These are gonna be great... will really show how much weight you have lost and how buff you are." As he's sitting in the shower: "Okay, lean your head back and close your eyes; imagine you are on a lovely beach..." and now his chest is exposed and she goes in for the kill. Once she has begun, her rage spills over and she starts yelling at him and sobbing out her pain and humiliation, stabbing him again and again.

Jodi states that she paused between shots so they could review each photo and erase those that they didn't like. This seems absurd - there is not time enough between shots and most of the pictures we see are not keepers, especially for someone who considers herself a photographer.

The camera expert showed how easily the shutter button could be pressed and stated that the camera was upside down on the floor when the last two pictures were taken. The camera was likely knocked down the hall during the struggle; there was no timer and no remote used.

Regarding Jodi's laughter during cross by Martinez last Thursday, I haven't seen any comment on the significance of this event. Martinez is brilliant; his whispering 'stunt' broke through her steely determination to disclose nothing of herself: she lost control! I expected this crack in her armor would result from anger. Hahaha, what a delightful surprise; Juan cracked her with a feather, not a hammer...

In my opinion, Travis likely was a virgin when he met Jodi. When she wanted to have sex and he resisted, she said that oral sex wasn't really sexual intercourse and talked him into it. Same with anal sex. She is the one who was into that. When Darryl was asked if he and Jodi had had anal sex twice he said 'maybe once' - said it with obvious distaste, it seemed to me. I think Travis was like putty in her hands and, having gone through his sexual prime denying himself the natural pleasures of the flesh, all his pent-up desires left him with no resistance to her manipulations.

It is a great tragedy that so many people give over their moral judgement and control to outside forces such as churches. The more people you allow to come between yourself and your god, the more fucked up you will be. Autonomy is the greatest gift...

Also, regarding the pictures on her My Space page, in the pictures of Jodi and Travis together he has his head tilted AWAY from her in all but one. There is no love light in his eyes...

Bermstalker - thank you for the recaps. Justice11 - I love your diary entries. Cindy Simmons - Thank you for your wonderful first post; you gave me the courage to try...
    Welcome Sweetharmony!
I love your thoughts and think you are right on with many of them. I do not think that Travis was in love with Jodi. I think she killed that. I think maybe at the beginning he really did kind of fall for her. But her game playing and manipulations turned him off. I think he didn't know how to deny the sexual attraction though. I think a lot of people who go into a relationship a virgin and that relationship isn't a good one, don't know how to get out. They are attached in that deep way that your "first" can only claim in your life.
I also think that with most of what she has said if you turn it from her thinking/feeling/saying it, that the words or feelings came from Travis. I think she made him suffer at the end. I think she did hear him scream out that he couldn't feel his legs. I wonder if he also told her he was getting cold as he bled out and she continued to stab him? I think she is a cold hearted bitch.
Someone else said something about dying with your eyes open. No, not all people die with their eyes open. Some close them. I don't know what the ration is, I just know that some die with them open and some die with them close. I thought we had all heard that one of the autopsy photos (one we haven't seen - the whole of Travis' face), that his eyes are open. (I do not think I want to see that one, the one of his mouth was hard enough IMHO).

    RIP Travis

How could Jodi hit him in his chest with a knife while he was sitting in the shower? That is what doesn't make any sense to me. Also the chest wound came from a lower angle rather than a higher one. Again, doesn't make sense if she stabbed him in the chest in the shower.

And if she started stabbing him in the shower while he was sitting down, he would have blocked those with his arms and forearms. He would have probably pushed her out of the way at that point. If you imagine that she is then chasing him down the hall, stabbing him in the back, then how do you account for the blood at the sink, and WHEN would he have been in a position where he would expose his chest so she could get a direct stab there? Once the attack started, he would have been naturally trying to protect his head and chest areas with his arms as much as possible.

These are reasons I do not truly believe that the first strike happened while he was seated in the shower. I believe he was irritated with her, but stood up, and began to exit the shower, or he was distracted by grabbing a towel, or perhaps using the towel to dry his hair, and she made her first stab to his chest there. That is the only way I can account for when she would have the opportunity to get that particular injury on him.

Stepping out of the shower would only take a second or two, so I still believe this fits into the time-stamps on the pictures.

Seems like the most vulnerable position, plus it's the last know position he was in

I am a fellow writer, so I understand what you are saying and what the intentions were. And I think many of us appreciate that you took time to explain what was behind the piece. I think what frustrates so many of us is that the defense has tried to crucify Travis, making his sexual and social behavior part of the whole self-defense theory, itself. Like, this was reason enough for her to murder him. I cannot imagine his poor family, having to not only deal with the tragedy of losing their loved one....but to also have his very character and memory be dragged into town square for tarring and feathering. Travis' only mistake is that his life path crossed with hers. And it's just infuriating that the defense is painting him in the light they are, and he is not able to have any say in the matter.
If I were to write a piece, depicting Travis' voice and perspective....it would have a far different spin.

Travis: Yeah, we had sex (again!) in my office because that nympho wanted more attention and I thought it would make her leave. I was done quick and she washed up in the bathroom. She took a check for $200 out of her purse. I put it on my desk and carried her luggage out to her car. I figured she was gone so I went upstairs to shave my presidential beard. Next thing I know, there's Jodi in my bathroom with the camera and her purse. I thought she was gone already!

Nurmi: So how did you feel Mr. Alexander?

Travis: Pissed off. I can't get rid of this woman. I have stuff to do. An important call. A trip to Mexico. Organizing my pristine closet.

    Nurmi: And what happens next?

Travis: She starts talking about taking shower photos. Just to put on her stupid Myspace. She could never get enough of Myspace and posting photos. I figured the easiest way to get rid of her was to play along. I got in the shower and started to show off. I was worried she was going to blackmail me with these on ldslinkup.net and I felt trapped into doing it. That's when she started back on the Mexico trip.

Nurmi: Mexico? You mean your PPL trip to Cancun for two?

Travis: That's the one. Jodi starts talking about how she read my text messages and she knows that I'm not taking that babysitter. I was really taking Mimi, I was hoping I could break her down on the trip with my motivational speaking and slip it into that uptight Mormon backdoor. But now my cover was blown. And Jodi's taking pictures and saying she knows I'm a liar, I'm busted, and I'm just like, bitch please! Just GTFO!

Nurmi: I'd like to enter exhibit 69, the "bitch please!" photo.

    Judge: Exhibit 69 is admitted.

Nurmi: So Jodi was confronting you. What did she do?

    Travis: Jodi tells me

    Martinez: Objection! Hearsay!

    Judge: Overruled

Travis: So, Jodi says that if I don't take her to Mexico and marry her on the beach in front of everyone from Prepaid Legal, that I will lose her forever. If I take Mimi to Cancun, Jodi threatened to drive to Utah right now to fuck Ryan Burns until his dick falls off. That sounded great so I sat down, right there in my own fucking shower. Just to process this and chill. I looked up and I said have a good time in West Jordan! I could taste freedom, she was about to bounce. Jodi was now some other man's problem. Better him than me.

    Nurmi: And then what?

Travis: I'm sitting in the shower, arms on my knees, looking down and shaking my head, like WTF is wrong with her? Next thin I know I felt a crushing pain in my chest and Jodi was on me like a spider monkey.

Nurmi: A spider monkey? What do you mean by spider monkey? Can you get up and demonstrate to us what you mean by spider monkey?

Travis: I would love to, but I'm dead. Anyway, she stabs me right in the heart with a chef's knife I won for being Arizona salesman of the year. I used that knife to make brownies for the Mormon bake sale. She's screaming "fucking kill you, you cheating bitch!" and stabbing again and again. I struggle to my feet and she is riding on my back, stabbing away as I wobble to the sink, now I realize I'm spitting up blood. This just got real.

Nurmi: How were you feeling at this moment?

Travis: Terrified. I was shaking like a chihuahua and the knife was bouncing off my skull. The lights were starting to dim but I saw daylight at the end of the hall. If I could just get down the stairs and into the street, someone would see me and get me to a hospital.

Nurmi: What do you remember next?

Travis: Well, my memory starts to get foggy. There is a huge gap. I was losing blood and the adrenaline was flowing. It was fight or flight. I'm crawling down the hallway bleeding, and she catches up to me at the end. She flips me onto my back and I can feel the carpet under my head. I almost made it. And then she slit my throat. I bled out all over the carpet.

Nurmi: What did that feel like?

Travis: I wasn't feeling too much right then, it was just like the sun setting. I was trying to remember good things and pray for forgiveness and mercy. I was just asking God for help and protection.

    Nurmi: And then?

Travis: Jodi dragged me back into the bathroom on a bed sheet and shot me in the head with the gun she stole from her grandmother.

Nrumi: So self defense, were you defending yourself?

Travis: I never had a chance. Even if I wanted to defend myself I was trapped in the shower all naked and wet and the first stab pretty much was enough to kill me. I held up my hands and she stabbed my hands. I turned my back and she stabbed my back. It was even more symbolic, to use one of Jodi's favorite ideas, that she stabbed me in the heart since she had been trying to rip it out since the day I met her.

Judge: Jodi is crying again! RECESS!

This is probably close to what really happened.

Also, someone else said she closed his eyes. Did she say this or was it assumed? I thought (based on references to the full face autopsy photo that has not been posted here) that his eyes were open.
That's what I thought JM got her to admit that she did shower over his body. His eyes were closed in the shower photo. I've never seen the autopsy photo supposedly with his eyes open

The washer was downstairs. I believe when they were waiting for ME to arrive, they walked downstairs and were walking toward the garage area when he said he noticed a stain that looked like blood.
