Jodi Ann Arias shot and stabbed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander to death

Did Travis' camera have a neck strap? For some reason every time I picture it, it would make perfect sense if she had a neck strap on the camera while she was taking pictures and it was hung around her neck during the killing. This could explain how she had both hands free to be all stabby/fighty, and the camera was either accidentally still on a timer, or accidentally hitting the shutter button during the struggle. If the neck strap was long enough, it would be the perfect height to have taken the dragging photos if Jodi was bent over dragging with it hanging around her neck.

The neck strap was found still sealed in a bag in the camera bag. That makes no sense to me as a camera owner. The neck strap is important so photographers don't drop the camera. Was it so new, that the strap wasn't assembled yet? Why the hurry to use it without the strap? It literally takes 2 seconds to attach to the camera. It amkes me wonder about the used duct tape found at the scene. Did she tape the camera to her hand?

Also, the pic where he is naked on the bed with his hand up with 2 fingers up like a weird peace sign? It looks like something is in his hand...the remote for the camera maybe?

Nurmi: Travis, so after you and Ms. Arias had relations in the office, what happened?

Travis: Yeah, we had sex (again!) in my office because that nympho wanted more attention and I thought it would make her leave. I was done quick and she washed up in the bathroom. She took a check for $200 out of her purse. I put it on my desk and carried her luggage out to her car. I figured she was gone so I went upstairs to shave my presidential beard. Next thing I know, there's Jodi in my bathroom with the camera and her purse. I thought she was gone already!

Nurmi: So how did you feel Mr. Alexander?

Travis: Pissed off. I can't get rid of this woman. I have stuff to do. An important call. A trip to Mexico. Organizing my pristine closet.

Nurmi: And what happens next?

Travis: She starts talking about taking shower photos. Just to put on her stupid Myspace. She could never get enough of Myspace and posting photos. I figured the easiest way to get rid of her was to play along. I got in the shower and started to show off. I was worried she was going to blackmail me with these on ldslinkup.net and I felt trapped into doing it. That's when she started back on the Mexico trip.

Nurmi: Mexico? You mean your PPL trip to Cancun for two?

Travis: That's the one. Jodi starts talking about how she read my text messages and she knows that I'm not taking that babysitter. I was really taking Mimi, I was hoping I could break her down on the trip with my motivational speaking and slip it into that uptight Mormon backdoor. But now my cover was blown. And Jodi's taking pictures and saying she knows I'm a liar, I'm busted, and I'm just like, bitch please! Just GTFO!

Nurmi: I'd like to enter exhibit 69, the "bitch please!" photo.

Nurmi: So Jodi was confronting you. What did she do?

Travis: So, Jodi says that if I don't take her to Mexico and marry her on the beach in front of everyone from Prepaid Legal, that I will lose her forever. If I take Mimi to Cancun, Jodi threatened to drive to Utah right now to fuck Ryan Burns until his dick falls off. That sounded great so I sat down, right there in my own fucking shower. Just to process this and chill. I looked up and I said have a good time in West Jordan! I could taste freedom, she was about to bounce. Jodi was now some other man's problem. Better him than me.

Nurmi: And then what?

Travis: I'm sitting in the shower, arms on my knees, looking down and shaking my head, like WTF is wrong with her? Next thin I know I felt a crushing pain in my chest and Jodi was on me like a spider monkey.

Nurmi: A spider monkey? What do you mean by spider monkey? Can you get up and demonstrate to us what you mean by spider monkey?

Travis: I would love to, but I'm dead. Anyway, she stabs me right in the heart with a chef's knife I won for being Arizona salesman of the year. I used that knife to make brownies for the Mormon bake sale. She's screaming "fucking kill you, you cheating bitch!" and stabbing again and again. I struggle to my feet and she is riding on my back, stabbing away as I wobble to the sink, now I realize I'm spitting up blood. This just got real.

Nurmi: How were you feeling at this moment?

Travis: Terrified. I was shaking like a chihuahua and the knife was bouncing off my skull. The lights were starting to dim but I saw daylight at the end of the hall. If I could just get down the stairs and into the street, someone would see me and get me to a hospital.

Nurmi: What do you remember next?

Travis: Well, my memory starts to get foggy. There is a huge gap. I was losing blood and the adrenaline was flowing. It was fight or flight. I'm crawling down the hallway bleeding, and she catches up to me at the end. She flips me onto my back and I can feel the carpet under my head. I almost made it. And then she slit my throat. I bled out all over the carpet.

Nurmi: What did that feel like?

Travis: I wasn't feeling too much right then, it was just like the sun setting. I was trying to remember good things and pray for forgiveness and mercy. I was just asking God for help and protection.

Nurmi: And then?

Travis: Jodi dragged me back into the bathroom on a bed sheet and shot me in the head with the gun she stole from her grandmother.

Nrumi: So self defense, were you defending yourself?

Travis: I never had a chance. Even if I wanted to defend myself I was trapped in the shower all naked and wet and the first stab pretty much was enough to kill me. I held up my hands and she stabbed my hands. I turned my back and she stabbed my back. It was even more symbolic, to use one of Jodi's favorite ideas, that she stabbed me in the heart since she had been trying to rip it out since the day I met her.

During testimony yesterday, she kept making a point to say "that wasnt where it landed" when Juan asked about the shell casing. I wish he would've asked her where she thought it landed since she is all over the place with everything else that happend.

So oddly I was n the shower thing about a couple of things:

1 when she was talking about the bullet casing she mentions there was blood before hand and wants to elaborate but JM cuts her off

2 If he fell to the right of her after shooting you would think there was a lot of blood on the floor towards to tub, she couldn't have washed it all off with a few cups of water w/o it getting all off the baseboards (who cleans up a crime scene while in a fog. Lol)

I know the ME said he believes the shot more than likely came last, but this angle is pretty consistent with the gun shot trajectory if she was standing next to him with the gun. I think may have shot him with her left hand and accidentally pressed the camera button at the same time with her right.

And, it looks like his legs are crossed....I wonder if she told him to do this? It would be very difficult for him to get up if she was attacking him with a knife or to defend himself if she was pointing a gun at him....

I don't think his legs are crossed...it's an illusion, he has big calves and it looks like he is leaning a bit away from the camera. If you look at the pic right before it shows the legs in the same position and you can see they aren't crossed

Does anyone know what model his camera was? I'd like to look and see if it came with a neck strap. Most of the "higher end" ones do. I don't think one was ever found, she may have gotten rid of that too because if it was discovered the neck strap existed, she could have never dropped the camera, Travis wouldn't have come at her for dropping the camera, and there goes her entire story.

It was a Sony, I don't remember the model. The neck strap was still folded up in the camera bag I believe. But, Jodi had 2 cameras there I believe she said -- 2 of her own. She could have used one of her straps. Or, I always kinda wondered did she get Travis a special neck strap, and maybe presented it to him that way. Something personalized, since she was supposedly this wanna-be pro photographer.

Juan was wrong about the shaving she talked about in the Flores interview being that day if his murder. We know she was talking about another day because Jodi Said during the interrogation "I guess he liked the shaving pic i took because he used it as his MySpace profile pic" which is indeed what he has up with comments dating back before that day of his murder. I think the lie Jodi told was actually the part about him being unshaven which hurt her during oral so she told him to stop. That was the lie she told to help make the rope story stick. I wonder if nurmi is on the ball enough to show Travis's MySpace profile shaving pic to rebut Juan's insistence about what she meant.

Some where around there is another version of Travis' shaving picture with JA saying Travis took it himself with his new camera. Might be in interrogations? or under direct? Sorry can't remember. Want to say, its somewhere around her version when the text were shown of him pissed off because she didn't get his photos uploaded. Then she whined about bad angry Travis, her drive froze and she was taking wedding pics she had to get done.

I was in and out during the testimony yesterday. Did I imagine it or did she say that she did shower while standing over his body? Additionally, I didn't hear anything about the eyes...so she admitted closing them?

His eyes are closed in the shower pic, at least it looks like they are to me. So, I just assumed she closed them. It is really speculation, but murdered people usually die with their eyes open, right?

she was very specific about him turning his head as he lunged.
seems odd that she would remember him turning his head.

then when she did the demo, she turned her head and bent forward.
each time she did it she turned her head exactly the same way.

I take it this is meant to show that the bullet would have entered and
exited in a way that matches the forensics. Is that right?

Yes, Jodi was trying to make the forensics of how and where the bullet entered Travis' head match up with her defense story. She seemed to forget that what she described would be a gun shot from a very close distance. The experts testified that the gun shot had to be fired from several feet away. There is NO stippling on Travis at all.

Hmm, I wanna try to find this. I looked at the youtube where they showed the camera, it most definitely came with a neck strap, you can see the connectors for it on the stand.

Try Heather Connor testimony she is the one that took it out of the bag. She testified a few times but I'd start when she returned after the ME testified out of order.

Those sitting pics are really odd. Maybe she was attempting to take a full nude shot and he didn't want that so he sat down to hide his privates. Perhaps she was waving a knife around saying she was going to cut his gonads off, so he sat down. I really think she showed him the knife and was making some sort of threat, either to him or a suicide threat to herself.

O/T - has Ron from NY been here lately? I am curious how he reads ja's testimony yesterday about dragging Travis down the hallway - by herself. He has been so passionate in his belief that she could never done it alone. I am glad that issue was resolved by her own testimony.

Also O/T but does anyone else wonder why ja did not blame the murder on Bobby? He was killed shortly before her arrest. Right? She could have blamed it on him as a jealous lovers revenge. Like Travis, he would not be there to defend himself. At the least she could have alleged Bobby was the male ninja.
