Honestly a better excuse for the gas cans would be for her to just say she wanted to bring extra just in case she got lost driving. Figuring she was driving in the desert (I've never actually been, just speculating), I'd assume gas stations are few and far between. Her story of not wanting to stop is asinine.

I honestly cannot figure out why she wanted those gas cans. Nothing about them makes any sense at all. They are two 5 gallon cans. That is not going to get you far. That is not going to get you across Arizona. That is not even worth doing if you're trying to save money on gas because gas in another state is cheaper (which is what she claimed on direct examination). You'd save maybe a buck or two at the most (probably not even that). The only thing they'd be good for is if you got lost or ran out of gas. Both of those reasons would be good ones for carrying gas with you, but you wouldn't need two cans, let alone three (the one she bought at Walmart - she said she returned it, but I don't believe it. they usually write all over your receipt when you return something). They for sure give you SOMETHING to show you've returned an item, she said they gave her nothing.

I like this prosecutor because I can sense that he's passionate. But, as an unaffiliated viewer of this trial, he is losing me. He is boring and he is berating her about stuff that's not nearly as important as the real issue here. SHE ALMOST CUT A MAN'S HEAD OFF. Let's get to the good stuff, Juan.

I think he's trying to show that she lies about pretty much everything. It's been effective.

As annoying as it is, and as lost as some people are getting, JM has to show the jury that JA is lying about everything... from small to big. Therefore they cannot believe a word she says and they need to look at the hard FACTS of this case: the premeitation (gas cans, hair dye, weapon stolen, etc), suffering of the victim (defense wounds), and the overkill (shot came last). This is what I think he is doing... it is just taking forever because Jodi is being... well, Jodi... and not answering anything straight. She has to know she is fucked... none of her shit matches up to what the EVIDENCE (including her own words) says.

And it's not the camera dropping. The camera is level, so she is either kneeling down or crouching, right in front of him.
She went there with hopes that she would change his mind about taking another girl on the cruise. And it didn't work. At a point, he ushered Jodi out, and was getting showered and probably thinking about packing....and WHAM!

I know this has been debated so many times. I'll just give my opinion again.

I do not believe Travis didn't know she was taking pics of him in the shower. Look at the pics. They are from different angles.

I think she used the shower photo shoot as a way to lure him into a vulnerable position. Premeditation, once again.

ETA: the last photo of Travis looking directly into the camera. I think it is haunting because we know what happened next. It is possible that she pulled out a knife right then too, but who knows. It is also possible that he was making one of his wrinkly forehead expressions. He made that face in a lot of pics. I just don't believe that the look on his face proves he had no idea any of the previous pics were being taken. Just my opinion.
