After you kill someone, wouldn't you think to get rid of ALL the evidence?? Fuck your taxes if that were reason. Investigators probably wouldn't have had as much stopping for gas/gas can, Starbucks, McD's, Walmary K-Y evidence if she just gotten rid of the receipts. That is pure speculation on my part of course.

Well, her receipts included things like face wash and toiletries from Walmart and CVS I believe. Could she really write those off? Otherwise, why keep those receipts? I could buy writing off clothing and gas for business expenses, but personal care items? I dunno.

Also it would be suspicious if you don't have receipts for a period of time if you normally save receipts. She thought those receipts would prove she was nowhere near Mesa

I am really am not a big advocate for the DP. But, Jodi (IMO) is a textbook case of a sociopath. Everyone has seen the photos of what she did. To butcher another human the way she did, drag the body to the shower, rinse it off, then leave and move on the next hook-up like nothing ever happened. There is nothing remotely human in her to spare. Seriously think about yourself committing the same crime and being in the same situation, even if you were insanely angry, could you stab someone 27 or 28 times, shoot them, slit their throat, anyone with half a conscience would stop after the 1st stab and say "oh my God what have I done!"

What bothers me even more is thinking of her standing over the body rinsing both it and herself off with a cup, THAT is some cold shit.

I was thinking the same thing. I have migraines. And when they're bad, I'm crying, nauseated, sensitive to light and sound. She didn't seem any different than normal

I have migraines and can function but only if I have to. I once conducted a training session with a migraine, feeling thisclose to puking the whole time. In that situation, I had about 20 people depending on me so I didn't have the luxury of not doing the training.

Anyway, I've sucked my husband into watching parts of this trial and he's a bit freaked out. I'm pretty sure his ex has BPD and she argues just like Jodi. It's maddening. I think watching Jodi is giving the hubs baaad flashbacks.

Is the sex tape on the same phone she "lost" for a few years but then found? I really don't know where the sex tape came from actually, but I assumed it was the cellphone.

We haven't learned how she recovered it yet. It was obviously the Helio(?) phone she got from Gus Searcy on a promise to pay on her Haul to Eureka from Mesa. She explained it in direct that her old phone didn't allow her to record conversations, but the new 'Helio' one did. That's why there's only one sex recording, (May 10, 2008). She said Travis wanted her to make the recordings so he could listen to them but Martinez has already proved that is bull. Anyways, Jodi said she lost the phone a week after the taping and the insurance company got her another one. That must be the one that supposedly died during her drive back to Mesa to kill Travis. Then, she says, she recovered the Helio 'phone somehow and the sex recording was still on it. Just another lie on stilts. I wonder if she ever paid the insurance company back for the replacement phone they purchased for her. Add insurance fraud to her offences.
