i'm probably the minority in that i think she is guilty, i mean she admits it, but i also hope she doesn't get the death penalty. though, i if i was in her position i'd probably rather die than have to live my life incarcerated under the thumb of sheriff joe.

i'm pretty sure joe arpaio is more involved in the prison system in az than you realize. but, this thread isn't about sheriff joe and i'm pretty sure jodi knows all about the conditions of incarceration in az.

i suppose i could be wrong, maybe she would be shipped out of state if she's in federal prison?

i probably skim too much. this thread is fucking crazy. is there a big anti-death-penalty group in here? i figured if these folks don't think she should get lunch they probably want to see her die by the hands of the state, too.

I tend to cry when I get mad, or embarrassed, or even really frustrated. I would have been crying like a baby soooo many times if I were in Jodi's position on the witness stand. It is very strange. It makes me feel that she really is a sociopath. "Real" emotions don't come naturally to her. It's like she is dead inside. Or like she is reveling in the attention and notoriety. (I'm not a shrink, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.)

I don't feel bad for Jodi. She shows no remorse. The way she butchered Travis sickens me. If she said it was a crime of passion, fessed up, and admitted her wrong, I think I might feel a little badly for her. What she is putting Travis' family through is really awful.

I respect your opinion though. I really do. Please don't think I'm trying to argue or take anything away from it.

My choice for her would be life with no possibility of parole. I'm not a big pro death penalty person, but I'm not die hard against it either. I have mixed emotions on the subject.

i agree that she seems strangely unemotional, but it's also been like five years since he died right? and she has been 'crying' from time to time.

NO. Everyone is pro-death, pro Sheriff Nottingham. It's insane. I think she's guilty, too, and I'm not a DP proponent.

Just for fun this morning (while killing some time before trial) I decided to try to find this one place yesterday where she was doing this circle-jerk-groundhog-day bullshit and I remember yelling out loud like a lunatic and threatening to punch my monitor... anyway, yeah, I found it and it appears that she is absolutely doing it on purpose. I have the notes on which session and the hh:mm location in the audio. Absolutely maddening.

Also, there was a spot yesterday when she wouldn't answer, Martinez was trying to get her to answer and I believe the defense objected and the judge overruled and asked her to answer the question. Jodi's voice appeared to lower and she said "I can't". I have the hh:mm on that one as well. I had a WTF moment-- like, did I just hear that?

Yep, I heard it. Her questioning JM, disagreeing, qualifying and dissecting the question or word is probably rehearsing with her defense team 20% and 80% jodi. Nurmi questioned her the only way possible in order to avoid a struggle.

Why feel sorry for her? If she hadn't done this she wouldn't have to answer these questions. She did not have to get on the stand but becase her threats to drag Travis and other people through the mud didn't work with the prsecution she is where she is. She deserves everything she has brought upon herself!

Justice, I didn't take that as a negative comment toward me. No worries. I agree with you about her sociopathy. I was trying to put myself in her place and I felt embarrassed for her. A lot more than she felt! I can't imagine getting up on that stand and have to recount trysts I had. I would rather stay in prison.

I hope she gets LWOP. I want her to spend the rest of her life, knowing the world goes on without her. That for Jodi is worse than hell.
