I can't see Travis buying a black market gun.
I can't see it not being released already if Travis bought one from a friend.
I take it he has never bought one legal either, or there would be records.

Welcome! And yes, I caught that too.
Agree. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place with her. She disputes every single question. He doesn't want to give her an inch in her lies. It is all very frustrating.
Agree.

ive been reading this forum for about a month and finally decided to join up. My life would not be complete without the recaps!! Thank you.
I don't think so. this is Arizona.. most of the population owns guns.. even walks around with a gun strapped to their side. It's legal here. If Travis owned his own gun he wouldn't be borrowing one from his friends to go target shooting. People in Arizona also know that just because he shot a semi-auto doesn't mean he would own a measly .25. Especially since they found no bullets or gun case in his house. Travis was meticulous about things.. you can tell from his closet alone. He liked things to be a certain way. It seems to me he wouldn't have had a gun just sitting on a shelf with one little bullet in it. He appeared in that video to be a man's man. If he had one for protection or to go target shooting with, he would have had ammo to go with it and it wouldn't have been a pea shooter.
Most men here have 9mm's.
RIP Travis
Nobody really wants Dave. Dave just has the shooting video and the def. wants that. Dave has to submit it to the court today.
When asked if either side wanted to call Dave-neither had plans, but just in case, the judge instructed Dave to leave the court and not to watch any more media coverage.
No, it was Nurmi first from what I saw who wanted the video, judge said he could have it, Juan said something about using Dave in his rebuttal case and then Nurmi said he didn't want Dave watching anymore of the trial. I think that's the way it went down. Will have to watch it again later.
No more Dave on Nancy Grace or JVM![]()
I almost think he needs to show her in the lies, but I also think he's trying to throw her off her game. Keeping her guessing what he's going to ask. He's not an idiot. Wendi Andriano tried to pull the same kind of shit on the stand. He nailed her ass to the wall too and she's now on death row. He's good at what he does. This isn't a Florida jury we are talking about in this case. From that the Webbsleuth posters that are in court are saying he's making lots of points with the jury. They have been laughing at Jodi and her BS. I think he knows his audience and won't screw this up. He's fighting for Travis.
I hope so, but I also think that Dave Hall is credible and that the jury will believe him. He's been on HLN quite a bit since this trial started. He wants justice. He wouldn't give them a tape that would hurt the state's case. At least I don't think he would. He wants Jodi to fry. He was in Utah when she showed up after killing Travis. He saw how she acted.
Me either!! I think it will help because Juan can reiterate that Jodi's grandparents are the one missing that caliber of weapon. Travis didn't own one.
That's a good point too. I think it will help Juan in the long run.
RIP Travis
It absolutely helps the prosecution. I think he will be a strong rebuttal witness.
Whatever Nurmi claims, the prosecution will show the truth behind the video. It will blow up in Nurmi's face if he tries to blame Travis or say he has a propensity for violence, when he is the victim. That is ridiculous. Jodi shot Travis, she didn't have a mark on her other than the cut. IMO, Nurmi will be making a huge mistake if he goes there.

HLN is trippy. LOL. I'm going off of personal knowledge here... one does not simply own a gun with one round of ammo in it, and nothing else. There would have been SOMETHING else in his house to show ownership. And I'm with Bermy... I cannot see Travis owning a black market gun, defense would have found out about a purchase between friends, and there are no records showing a legal purchase by him.
Not arguing with you, specifically... just to the defense's claims that it was his. I call bullshit. She just doesn't want premeditation shown... which is also why she's arguing it was a last minute trip (minus the fact that she brought CD's specifically to give to Travis). She didn't dye her hair (yet recent pictures show her with WAY lighter [maybe not platinum blonde] hair then when she shows up on the nudey pictures). I also find it funny that she has receipts for EVERYTHING on that trip minus AZ stuff) except there was NO reciept for her manicure... probably because it had more than just a mani on it!
I just think all Juan has to do is remind the jury of Jodi's grandparents gun being stolen and how it's the same caliber. No way a guy is going to own a .25 if he's shot a semi-auto rifle. And he for sure isn't going to not have ANY ammo in the house where the gun is kept.
If I recall correctly, in one of the explcicit photos, Jodi was bent over nude. Her hand can be seen on her ass cheek. I cannot find the pic again. Can anyone tell me if her nails were even actually manicured?
