I expect the prosecution to 'counter' the def boohoo expert, with an expert of the prosections own choice and detail all the reasons why Jodi doesn't have signs of an abused woman.
In penatly phase, def we probably wil hear back to the womb any and all woes of poor Jodi. OMG, she was uprooted when she was 10 (moved) blah blah blah wooden spoons and who knows, maybe some boomshells not allowed in trial.
Prosecution will then come out and counter them not only with expert that says, not traumic to move or whatever, but the prosection then will be like a mini case against her for the points of why it was cruel heinous etc mixed with this is not a 'disadvantaged' girl, she went on trips, had appropriate needs, private school, opporutnities of life that many don't have and so on.
sorry about using NG, but it's a short version must see part of that segment of the trial
Immediately following here is Jodi so pleased with herself

Does the defense get to see media? I can't remember..but i was just thinking, the defense is going to say something to her about all the smiling and smirking right?? I hope not or we'll be back to boring jodi. I hope she stays her true self throughout the rest of the trial. She is flipping nuts to show her true colors now.
Thank you for your apology wasthinking. You might have had a different opinion of my pushing situation if you had more information about it. What I said was a one-liner, but I guess it packed a punch with you. Adding creepy to my line probably made it worse.Anyway, you may be old (I think I am too
) but I don't think you're stupid. I like hearing what you have to say, so keep those opinions coming. And, I'm very sorry to hear you had to experience violence at such a young age.
Yep. If she doesn't remember the murder as she claims, then she should've just said "Travis was alive when I last saw him. I can't remember anything after the gun, so why wouldn't I believe he was alive?" I mean, since she claimed she thought the gun shot didn't hit him.
I was perusing the WS link someone posted about the courtroom observers. I found it interesting that one of the ladies who was there said that Jodi does NOT wear her glasses when the jury is not in the room.
I don't know if she legit needs them or not, but why would she only put them on when the jury is around, if she needed them to see all the time?
i read she was the rebuttal witness for the prosecution - rebuttal against the domestic abuse expert testifying for the defense
defense had all the evidence, and most are saying it was more theatrics, delaying to throw martinez timing off and to help w/ the objection to the judge to try to get it thrown out
defense attys and jodi get to watch the media and tweek her performance - she watches all the news about herself evry nite from jail - just like they can come here and read - the only ones who can't are the jury
I am trying to keep my focus on what this trial is actually about.
Is Jodi's basic position at this point something like this: "I shot him because he was attacking me, but I don't remember any of the stabbing, even though I remember dropping a knife, and then I didn't think he was really dead, but I washed my bloody hands with water from my trunk while driving through the desert after killing him."
Am I at all close here??
I think if the DT was trying to use stalling tactics with the magazine, it backfired. The way they acted made the magazines seem like a big deal - the way they were both flipping through and scanning all the pages.
I think if they had just allowed it all in, there would have been less build up of suspense.
It may not alter the ultimate impact of that evidence either way though.
well, I wouldn't change a belief I held all my life, never laying hands on anyone. I raised my children with, 'no excuse, don't want to hear it, you never settle anything by laying your hands on another in anger'.
It's a weighed, thoughtful decision as to why I hold that belief strongly. If we had to go on emotion alone, emotional scars, hell, I'm a coward, you could put me in tears with one Juan look! Raise your voice and my brain locks up with fear. Not in the pretend Jodi way, in assholes and elbows run as fast as you can avoidance.

My jaw dropped and I inappropriately laughed. Not because I thought it was funny, but because I didn't know what else to do. It was an uncomfortable laugh. I watched a little more and I can't believe how she is speaking to the prosecutor. The way she is talking to him doesn't look/sound like a woman who is afraid of men.
It's all about oneupmanship, just like she's said herself many times. Think of 'winning' as the most important thing in your life. Not feelings, no others.. but a self centered allo about me win. Every little move is made to fulfill this need. If a game doesn't exist, they create one! They can't breath without it. Their very existance depends on oneup wins at all times. Her 'shaking' is Only when the game isn't going toward her 'win'. Fury rages below if you dare confront them that you see their game and call it. Makes them feel humilated, after all they think they were pure giggle genius. You'll pay double! Every perceived offense is magnified in their minds. and none go unpunished!
I'll get you my pretty is their theme song.
