Well, jeez, I quoted a bunch of stuff that I didn't want to quote somehow!
Anyways, with regards to the glasses? I think the point is, Jodi has always been image-conscious. She's always posted pictures of her looking perfectly posed; she relished Travis telling her how pretty she was; one of Travis' friend mentioned that Jodi always dressed for (male) attention and got it.
She was very much about her looks and receiving admiration and compliments. Now, here she is like the little meek, dressed-down church mouse. Whether she really needs glasses or not, it's manipulation to make her look non-threatening.
It's possible that prior to this she did have vision issues. Most likely she wore contact lens then. We've never seen a picture of her, prior to the trial, wearing glasses.
So, it's not so much the idea of "she doesn't need them, she's just wearing them to portray a certain image" and more of a "she may need them, but she was very looks-conscious and hadn't worn them before even if she needed them because they distracted from her 'beauty'."
I mean, this is a woman who asked to put on makeup when she was arrested, right? She smiled in her mug shot.
The glasses -- legit or not -- are part of this meek image she is trying to portray.

I don't know about anyone else's interpretation, but I don't think Martinez is being overly-aggressive, at all.
He's not badgering her. He's just being matter-of-fact and trying to shut her down before she gets off on one of her little meandering tangents that have nothing to do with what they're discussing.
Martinez is not going to be like the defense, where he spends 5 days recounting every little minute detail. He's picking out the important things and making her focus on them.
Side note: HLN host guy just mentioned about how he'd broken his finger before and it was hard to write, and the writing difference was noticeable. He said Jodi's writing looked the same before and after the so-called broken finger incident.
But, I think that the most important part of that is the fact that it was mentioned the date where Jodi claims Travis assaulted her and was looking at child porn, she made absolutely no mention of it in her journal at all.
What time are they coming back? My kids are down for a nap. I have some "me" time dammit!!!!!![]()
Can someone confirm the time from the last picture of Travis alive to the one of him bleeding on the floor? Just reading the police report and it says 3 minutes. Jodi's little bathroom/closet chase and her shooting the gun don't even correlate with these pictures. The last picture of him alive was supposedly at 530 and then at 533 it shows Travis on the floor, at the NORTH end of the hallway, bleeding profusely from the neck. And how if she had already cut his neck did he get to end of the hallway so fast? I suppose he could have still run but that was a fatal injury. Confused. Anyone?
I agree with this. He's the only voice of the victim in that entire courtroom. Travis himself would probably be pretty pissed up there questioning Jodi, so JM gets equally as passionate. He's done it in all his cases (and yes, I've watched videos of his other cases). JM FanClub fo' Life!!
I don't know, but people criticising the prosecutor might take a moment to remember that a man in the prime of his life was brutally murdered, then accused of being a pedophile and an abuser, the prosecutor is speaking for Travis and defending him as Travis is no longer able to speak for himself. If I was a part of Travis' family Juan would be like a hero to me.
I did some Jodi rambling to get my S.O. up to speed and I think he now officially thinks I'm crazy.![]()

I do agree with you.
I will say that Martinez has to tread carefully, because if he gets to what looks to be badgering, then there's the jurors will feel sympathy for her. I actually would love to see him break her down and make her flip out or something, but, he has to be careful about how he handles her.
I don't seem him crossing the line, or even getting close to it, when it comes to badgering. I don't find his cross to be aggressive or anything of the sort.

We have forgotten how to be good guests; how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do.
Question....is this the only case JM has worked on in the past 5 years, or does he have others at the same time? He seems to be working alone, wonder if he has time to sleep?
