I didn't check either, too many pages to trawl through as the trial's on, but I'm sure she's been around for years. Yeah I get you re Ron's sense of humour, it's only just crossed my mind that a lot of the new peeps may never have read MDS before, jeez I'm tired. I don't think Ron is joking or irritating at all. I think a lot of people agree with him but are too scared to speak up. Or maybe they just don't care enough. I sure as hell agree with him. That thread went from giving and reading information to an insane mess. Every time I read it, like once a day because I have other things to do, there is 30+ new pages. And what kind of stuff are those people really saying?

Yep. And the second you come in with a different opinion, let's say you don't believe the jury has enough evidence to give her death penalty, you're gonna have your ass kicked in there. She's not even trying to recant that, she's trying to sell self defense. So the conclusion, no matter what anyone thinks of motive, is that she murdered the fuck out of him. The point of the trial is determining under what circumstances she did it.

Well, with the death penalty, it depends on whether the jury is allowed to consider lesser charges, ie life in prison. After the Casey Anthony debacle, it would be idiocy not to let them consider it.
I would be shocked, honestly, if there was not a conviction in this case. Casey Anthony's trial highlighted the lack of physical evidence, and circumstantial evidence in the post CSI/Law and Order world is really dicey. This is a totally different breed. The jury must decide if she has a valid self defense plea. I don't see how she does at all. Other than her story and her lesbian prison lover's story, no one is backing this.
