Anyways, jail is not torture for her, I don't think. It's not a punishment as it would be for her to die, and to presumably face the real consequences of her deeds. If you believe in judgment day, the afterlife, etc., Jodi is not going to pay for anything, until she gets there. And even if she gets Life in Prison, she still gets to live; she gets to paint and do her little American Idol skits. She gets to buy snacks and watch tv, and visit with friends and family. Things that Travis has never gotten to do again, after that fateful night nearly 5 years ago.

I think death is appropriate because she fears it, she fears having to pay for her deeds immediately, rather than being able to put it off another 4 or 5 decades.
Yes, I totally agree with what you are saying. It worries me too.

This all bothers me too. Like jail is fun for her. She gets her family and friends, she gets money on her books, she gets to create her "art.". She's not suffering. But we are suppose to feel sorry for her. NOT
The only ones I feel sorry for are Travis' friends and family and for Travis himself because no one deserves to go out that way. No one. I can't imagine the anger he felt at first and if he thought maybe that was all she was going to do to him... only to get stabbed again and then the fear and pain that went along with the rest of her attack.

She doesn't deserve sympathy, she deserves the death penalty. I want his family to be able to be there on the other side of the glass watching that IV put into her vein and then watching her die. But I would like even better for her to go out the way Jeffrey Dahmer did... painful!!

    RIP Travis

Also, MyDeathSpace has asked to see a screen shot of the pop-up, if you can do it and email it to them?

It's possible, I just think that, personally, the angle and distance is more consistent with him sitting down. But I am certainly no forensic expert.

I haven't decided whether I believe the shot came first or last, but I can hypothesize.

If the shot came first, it would seem likely that it was right after that last picture of Travis when he was sitting in the shower. It would be the right distance and trajectory, I think. And aside from that, who sits in the shower? Were it a regular bath/shower combo, I could see. But this is a stand-alone shower with very little room. I find it hard to comprehend-- considering the lack of room for a full-grown man -- that he would purposely just choose to sit down. It seems to me to be more consistent with her waving the gun at him and telling him to sit down.

Also, I could see him trying to get a knife out of her hands if she confronted him first, but I think he would be a bit more wary in trying to grab a gun away. A gun is quicker to go off and harder to defend against a fatal blow.

Of course, the shot could've come last, and that too makes sense to me. It could've been that she did all this stabbing and throat slitting and she perceived that he just wouldn't die. So, she figures a shot to the face will end it.

If she shoots him last, tracjectory-wise I think she would have to still be standing over him. She could've been standing over say his waist area, pointing down, but I still think that would be of more of a distance than 3-4 feet.

I would think that if the gun shot was the last blow, that she would possibly try and get closer than that. I imagine her thinking that, jeez, he just won't die, so I am going to make sure of it with this gun. In that case, I would think she would try to get as close to him as possible, figuring that shooting from closer up would ensure a fatal wound.

I don't know if I'm explaining it right, but lets say a person goes through all of this stabbing and slashing and the victim is still alive, wouldn't, out of frustration, the killer figure a closer wound would have more impact?

Not that it's the same distance, but I would personally think that say, you're more likely to kill something from 2 feet away than 10 feet away. That's not to say it couldn't be a different of 5/6 feet instead of 3/4, and that still wouldn't be a huge differential. But I would think that most people would believe a closer shot equals the better chance of a fatal shot.

It's very hard to say though. I'm really open to any and all possibilities. Each makes sense in it's own way.

Yes, I agree. As hard as it is to look at those crime scene photos, it's even harder to imagine, to put ourselves in his shoes and to think and feel what he was at the time. The confusion, the hurt, the absolute terror. It's just unimaginable.

The closet has two doors; she runs in the nearest one, slams the door, remembers the gun, climbs shelf to get it, runs to other exit, he is opening it, he chases her. She points the gun at him, he tries to tackle her, gun goes off.
If that is her claim, then it makes no sense. She ran from the bathroom to the closet and then went out the other side to the bedroom, where he was waiting for her? Why would he do that when he could just follow her directly, through the bathroom door into the closet?

So then what, she doubles back, back to the bathroom?

Why doesn't she wave the gun at him and tell him "I'm leaving and don't try to follow?" Or why doesn't she call the cops?

Once Jodi has the gun in hand, she's in charge. She has the advantage to either leave or summon help.

Of course that would be if this wasn't all a big bunch of bs and lies, which we know that it is.

could be all of that... but i'm going with a totally random afterthought - he's dead as fuck but she just hates him so much at the moment that she taps him once in the head for good measure as she's walking away to start cleaning up, pulp fiction style.

i'll admit it - i watch too many movies.

It's hard to tell because she kind of "black-n-whited" that picture, but that hair is not dark, imo. Not dark enough to be brunette. Especially when you look at the brother's hair. His is much, much darker.

I think she very well could have been blonde in that picture. Or, at the very least, it's light brown with the blonde streaks.

    Interesting find, WooFrigginHoo.

Back to the Jodi in the closet story. Ok I suck at drawing, but this is what I interpret her as saying. They are both in the bathroom. She runs out the door to the closet, rather than the door to the hallway. She allegedly locks the door behind her; although I have to say that I have never heard of a locking closet, at least not one that locks from the INSIDE. Why would someone want to lock themselves in the closet or risk getting locked out of their closet and having to break the door down? Makes no sense.

Anyways, she runs to the closet, locks the door. Assume she was going to try and run out the other side, but she remembers that the gun is in the closet, so she monkey-climbs up the clothes rack and snags the gun. In the meantime, wet, naked Travis has run out the door, on slippery tile, down the hall and into his bedroom in time to catch her at the other door.

Then, Jodi runs back to the bathroom side of the closet, and has time -- with him chasing her -- to stop and unlock the door and run back into the bathroom, where she brandishes the gun.

    Is that right?

If he was chasing her, she doesn't have time to unlock the door and go back to the bathroom. It's not like his closet is a mile long. He would've been on her quickly. If he was chasing her, she would've had time to pull the gun, while in the closet. That's it.

Seriously. Pick any room in your house and see how long it takes you to run from one end to the other. Two or three seconds? For something the size of a walk-in closet it would take even less.

And with regards to the closet doors having locks? Again, I call bs. There is no point in having closet doors that lock from the inside. None. Zero. Zilch.

In that case, it makes even less sense. If there are no locks on the doors, all Travis had to do was open the door and follow the same route Jodi did. He would've caught her long before she could've gotten her hands on the gun. Merely 2-3 seconds.

Travis would not have run all the way around to the other side, he would've followed Jodi. Then Jodi would've had to run out the other door, to the bedroom. But, we can't have that because then once she was in the bedroom, it's an easy sprint to the door and down the stairs, outside to safety.

Anyways, enjoy my crappy drawing. Or not.

The victim’s best friend, Chris Hughes, is watching Arias' graphic testimony online from his home in Utah.
“I'm just over it, you know. I'm done with the lies. She's already admitted to killing him and she's doing it again with character assassination and all of these ridiculous lies that are unsubstantiated, by the way,” said Hughes.

Hughes realized their stay is expensive and wanted to help them.
“We've had people reach out to us and say 'Hey,' I mean total strangers, people that don't know us or the Alexanders. They said “Look my heart is sick for what this family is going through and they must be financially strapped' and they said 'Look what can I do to help?'" said Hughes.
Hughes has set up a Facebook page in Travis Alexander's honor.

    http://www.azfamily.com/news/Exclusi...192139821.html

This page is dedicated to fundraising for the family and legacy of Travis Alexander. The proceeds go directly to support the family of Travis as they travel back and forth for the trial.

Only Jodi's money and a gun is stolen?

On that commissary list, there is lipstick and eyeliner. You can buy makeup in prison? I thought they weren't allowed to wear it?
