    A definition of premeditation:

“Killing with premeditation” is killing after consciously deciding to do so. The decision must be present in the mind at the time of the killing. The law does not fix the exact period of time that must pass between the formation of the premeditated intent to kill and the killing. The period of time must be long enough to allow reflection by the defendant. The premeditated intent to kill must be formed before the killing.

Well, of course, Travis obviously kept an underpowered gun with no ammo, for protection..

This chick obviously can't be alone for 5 minutes. She was already lining up her next "relationship" with Ryan while she planning to murder Travis.

It's probably killing her, being locked up for 5 years with no access to a penis.

Not to mention, how did she reach it? She said she found it by standing on a chair. His ceilings look rather high.

I was on the fence off and on re: if he abused her. After her story about how it all happened I'm off the fence. She plotted this out.

i remember that martinez was talking about this during one of the mistrial hearings - after the first stab, and she didn't stop that it was premeditated and felony murder - i'm not sure how all that works though - but the judge sided w/ him, so he must have been right

either way, she did seal her fate today admitting she took the gun from travis' house... felony murder... consider the goose cooked.
As far back as the move imo.
She was homeless, a loser and penniless. Then April 6, msg, Travis tells her she's a sociopath, the worst thing that every happened to him and... he was going to OUT her.
    Follow that with PAY ME.
She was and is hell bent on revenge. Killing him didn't even calm her hate and rage.

She's got a girfriend, she may be allowed congigals, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the guards was showing her his nightstick during showertime for some free soap he would drop from bed bath and beyond.

I really would like to hear from Chris and Skye Hughes about the bullshit that she was telling them. She was trying to get other people involved in her attempts to control him. I'm sure she is every attorneys nightmare. Her defense was all hers...poor Nurmi probably told her this was all a bad idea, but she is smarter than the professionals you know. His efforts to defend her seem to lack enthusiasm. I kept expecting him to blow his nose on his tie. His mannerisms bug me

I think she planned it beforehand even more than before.

I expected better testimony from her about the crime.

The fact that every piece of evidence that could impeach or support her story has disappeared into the desert just reinforces her guilt.

Miss Recall-Every-Tiny-Little-Detail all of a sudden has a memory lapse for her post murder charades???

And all of the bizarre rent-a-car & gas can shenanigans?

And continuing on to meet the guy in Utah and making out with him??

She remembers every bit of how she killed him -- and she relishes those memories.

He threw her away like a "used piece of toilet paper" and she'd had enough!

I'll show you, you son-of-a-bitch! Your life means a hell of a lot more to you than mine does to me!

Thank you. That could be sticky to determine with a rage killing?

oh, got it now. lol I hope there are still unethical officers that spit in inmates dinners.
The dinners she gets in suicidal solitary after admitting she wants to die and takes her razor apart. Facing Juan after losing your Advil rights, ouch.

If Travis is in the shower, and Jodi pulls out a gun, and Jodi decides she is going to kill Travis, and she then shoots Travis..that fits all of the points needed to prove premeditation.

Having said that, there is still so much more that is there, bringing the gun, the planning for gas cans, and "disappearing" for so many hours, that totally shows premeditation.

Thanks guys. I had two streams running, one on mute, but I didn't hear that or see JM with the family

Nope. I never really doubted it, but her story on T's non-existent gun and how she got it from a high shelf from his closet (which was freakishly undisturbed mind!) was total confirmation #1 for me. The knife she couldn't remember anything about, but 2 minutes later claimed she put in the dishwasher, #2. Getting SLAMMED on the tiles, then a jaunt to the closet for gun, shoot, stab 27 times, cut his throat, drag Travis back to the bathroom, put him in the shower, all in the time frame from the last pic of him alive to the dragging? #3-god knows. Nope, not possible. Premeditated, she brought the weapons with her, without a shadow of doubt. Well absolutely to me.

And where would she get a chair to stand on? Much less within seconds?

As I recall there were no chairs or stools or anything of the sort in Travis' room. He had a large upholstered chair and a huge ottoman. No folding chairs, no desk chairs, as his desk was downstairs, etc.

    CHAPTER 11
    2011 REVISION
COPYRIGHT  2011, STATE BAR OF ARIZONA 109
    11.05 − First-Degree Premeditated Murder
The crime of first-degree premeditated murder requires proof that the defendant:
    1. caused the death of another person; and
    2. intended or knew that [he] [she] would cause the death of another person; and
    3. acted with premeditation.
?Premeditation? means that the defendant intended to kill another human being or knew [he] [she] would kill another human being, and that after forming that intent or knowledge, reflected on the decision before killing. It is this reflection, regardless of the length of time in which it occurs, that distinguishes first-degree murder from second degree murder. An act is not done with premeditation if it is the instant effect of a sudden quarrel or heat of passion. [The time needed for reflection is not necessarily prolonged, and the space of time between the intent or knowledge to kill and the act of killing may be very short.]

Personally, I like how Jodi sustained no wounds except the knife cuts to her fingers.

I mean, we're supposed to believe he physically assaulted her one time and broke her finger. But, now, she's supposedly being attacked by Travis -- who she claims flew into such a rage that she had to stab him 27 times, slit his throat and shoot him in the head in order to protect herself -- and sustained nothing? No broken bones, no bruises, no nothing.

She never claimed a chair Blonde. She said she climbed up the shelves.

She wasn't arrested until a month later. Bruises would have healed by then.

Also, there was some sort of stool in the closet, that she had climbed up on.

Not wanting to be alone and engaging in these multiple relationships like Jodi is doing is a classic example of borderline personality.

  25. #28750
Everything just seems to fit too perfectly, it's almost like it would be too hard to make up and make fit years and years after the fact. I know she has had a lot of time in her cell and do thinks she lied about somethings, but overall I think she is telling the truth as far as going over there and not planning to kill him.
