Sorry for the late reply. Most dont say anything. But the one that does says "to hopefully counter the negative :)" but it is a negative rep too.

It could be folks on their mobiles or tablets and the 'radio button' scoots (which happens to me on my tablet). I know the person who wanted to counter the negative would never give you negative and say that there were countering it.

Are you sure they are negative? If they are gray it is not negative, it means the person repping you doesn't have any "rep power" yet.
