I think a really great thing for the prosecution to introduce during the rebuttal, if they haven't already, would be a very clear graphic timeline starting from the date Jodi met Travis up to the days after his murder.

I think the way all the questioning has gone by her DT, the jury may not realize how short their "relationship" actually was.

Ok, I've just watched something that makes me really wonder even more about when Travis was actually shot.

I'm watching an episode of "On the Case with Paula Zahn" which aired yesterday. In this case, a man and a woman are both shot in their home by an intruder.

The woman is shot directly between her eyebrows and then again in her ear, from a number of feet away with .22 caliber bullets. She retains consciousness throughout all of this, reporting that she just felt a lot of pain, and then managed to run out of the house, knock on three different neighbor's doors until she found someone who would open the door, and then describe the suspect's appearance to the neighbor while an ambulance was on the way. Then she was emergency air-lifted to the hospital. She is able to recall some of her thoughts during this entire time.

If a person could function that well with two bullets going directly into where her brain is, then I do not believe that the shot hit Travis necessarily completely incapacitated him.

If the gunshot was from right to left and down, then if he was sitting in the shower, with his back against the opposite wall in which they found him against, it seems that would be a perfect angle for Jodi to make her first shot against him. He then got up, ran to the sink and bled all over it, and then the knife fight started.

I know the ME says the gunshot was not first, but I just have a hard time with that.

For a few reasons. If she had a gun, why would she start with a knife when the gun would theoretically be more fatal?

If she stabbed him first, I think he could have wrestled her to the ground or given her a massive shove out of the way.

Thank you for this post. I have always thought the first shot with the position in the shower matches the trajectory of the shot. On another forum they show that the hemmoragging could have been washed away. It goes in line with her ninja story where the gun jammed. I think she wanted to just shoot him and with all of her preparations she didn't mean to leave a trace at all. I think he didn't die and she went crazy and kept on with her premeditated plans but was in a panic over what to do. I think after her plan to just shoot didn't work out she went all over the map trying to figure out how to hide. I appreciate your post. I have written some of this and actually just joined like you and someone gave me bad reputation because they didn't agree with my theory. That's not cool guys! This is a place to talk...not attack.

The ME said there was no signs of hemmoraging in his skull from the gun shot wound. That would happen if he was shot after his heart stopped beating. That is why I think the gun shot wound came last.

(I've always been very firm in my belief that the ME is who we should believe when it comes to the order of the wounds. Just for the record, I would never give anyone bad rep for their opinions. I use my rep whoredom for good, not evil! )

I have thought this all along. I think she tells the story throughout the lies. She said she Heard a gunshot and then Travis was begging her to go get help. I think he was able to make it to the sink and then the gun jammed (mentioned in her interrogation) and then she grabbed the knife. She also said she grabbed her purse, "which was on the floor at that time" and ran from the ninjas. Gun and knife were in her purse.

One question I have is about the bullet casing placement on the entry wound. I don't see how it would still be there with the struggle.

The only reason I can think of that she would have started with a knife is she wanted him to suffer rather than die immediately. I expect she will lay out a version of how it all went down. She's going to have to explain why she used so much excessive force if she's arguing it is self defense. I'm not sure we can believe what she tells us, but there's no doubt she'll go into it all. I think she'll most likely say the gun is what she got to first but it didn't stop him and it jammed so she had to use a knife. There's just no way to create a story with the slit throat if she goes with using the knife first.

I'm also getting really annoyed with her tl;dr version of shit. Nobody cares that you had a motorola razr like everyone fucking else in 2007. Spare the boring details.

I think the stab to the heart came first, which while he was stunned and kneeling over the sink she started the back stabbing which caused him to exasperate the blood. Weren't there some additional stabs to his chest as well? All I'm thinking is that all the stabs to the front of him, including the defensive cuts on the hand occurred first, the stabs to the back happened when he was going down the hallway, the cut to the throat was last and then in order to make it look like a break in or maybe to insure that he was dead (death gargles she mistook for him breathing?) she shot him after she drug his body back to the bathroom.

I couldn't agree more. I'm actually glad there was a 4 day break. I couldn't stand listening to her nonsense. I really hope the defense hands her over to Martinez soon.

The bullet casing was not on the entry wound. It was on top of a big pile of blood on the tiled bathroom floor.

I don't give her lies that much merit. I think her describing how he was screaming might have been a little truthful, but I imagine even that was so much worse than she described. :(
