The lack of physical injuries to Jodi blows me away as well, and also led me to think she HAD to have a male accomplice. But again, there is no frikking way that chick would not throw that person under the bus immediately. So have to scratch that idea.

After he saw the gun, he could have bullrushed out of the shower with his arms over his face. Worst case he takes a .25 bullet in the arm or chest which isn't going to drop him (and that's if she has the balls to pull the trigger), and he can outrun her out of the house. He could have overpowered her to disarm her, even if she got in a stab or a shot in the struggle... but she got the drop on him in a big way.

That's why I think she had to make him sit down in the shower with the gun pointed at his head. Then he is completely trapped, and she can dominate him physically. He can't go anywhere and she can shoot him if he tries to get up.

You're telling me a woman who can't work a manual transmission can execute a man twice her weight with no obvious injuries? Her actions in life can be so unpredictable and poorly planned. Yet somehow she ends up in Travis's house with no one else home, waits until he is trapped in the shower like a fish in a barrel, and just happens to have a gun + knife + camera. Luck is the only answer I can think of. Somehow the opportunity presented itself and she was prepared and had deadly intent.

How does Ryan (the "next" guy) fit into her motivation?

Not sure if this counts as scratches but when she was talking to flores, she had a cut on her hand and he said something like "i know how you got that" meaning the knife was all slippery.

My husband (who knows more about these things than I do) says a .25 semi auto and a .25 auto would use the same kind of bullet. So the bullet wouldn't tell what kind of gun it was; just the size. But I figured Jodi's grandparents would know what kind of gun they had.

I'm not sure about that.

1. I haven't heard that the roommates were definitely not at home. One roommate was house-sitting. The other, I believe was probably asleep at 4am, considering he had to go to work that day.

I also seem to remember one of his roommates (or maybe just a friend) saying something about Travis being up all night, doing some kind of protection ritual or something of the sort? Travis was worried or something? I would think that someone was there and aware that he was awake, and yet not aware that Jodi was showing up.

3. As mentioned, he had a conference call that evening, at 6pm, I believe. So while he may have not had a 9-5 shift or something, he had some business plans. I think the thing is too, we don't really know the nature of what he did. Selling pre-paid legal services, yes. But it seems like it was a work-at-home job. He may have been able to set his own hours and whatnot, as I assume this worked like commission sales.

He could have been praying for protection but there isn't really a "ritual" for protection. People do "dedicate" their houses. Which is basically a prayer and a blessing over the home. Its a semi common practice when someone first moves into the home. Its not like an exorcism or anything like that. It's basically a prayer dedicating your house to the Lord and you ask the Lord to bless the home and protect the people. Obviously it doesn't trump free will of other people.

according to the police report, the only time the room mate saw travis was 11:30 am 6/4 when he was getting ready - it was his day off and had to return a rental car he was using because he was in an accident, he passed him in the hall and travis said he was tired, he came home about 4pm for a minute and didn't see any one and spent the night at is gf house - and it was on thursday the 5th he saw the doogy gate moved and the floor cleaner out - he doesn't say he saw him tuesday night - i looks like he went to his gf house after he got off work tuesday night

I think the reason I am so captivated with this case is that I just cannot get my mind around how this chick could pull off such a violent attack on a guy bigger than her. I mean, logically I know it is possible to do those things she did, with a knife and a gun, but for some reason, I just can't really believe it.

If there had been just a couple of gun shots or something, I don't think this case would the attention it has. This was just such an over-the-top horrific brutal killing that it is mind-blowing that its a woman who did it.

And the pictures from that day just add to the complete intrigue- I wish they could have gotten more off that camera than they did.

I loved watching the interrogation with Jodi where the detective initially tells her that they got the pictures off the camera. She is absolutely silent for longer than I think any other portion of any of those interrogations. It really stood out to me and I felt it was a moment when the wheels in her head were going nuts as she thought about that day, the pics she took, and then this detective telling her they had those photos and they had time stamps on them. She was dead quiet as her told her that.

yep according to what i see in the police report i don't think any one saw him on tues. night - but i keep wondering - finally catching up on the court youtubes - jodi kept saying she was giving travis pamphlets for his problem, but what kind of pamphlets were they and where did she get them?? were they suppose to be pamphlets on pedophilia?? i don't think i have ever seen those - and idk where she would have gotten them from??

Facts from his friends, texts, chats etc are, he started out thinking she was great. Even in the May call we hear him thinking she is a the least beautiful. I don't think there is any denying that this was a difficult relationship for them, both and although part was a booty call there was so much more in this affair. Light and dark sides you could sasy. At one time he did have feelings for her and they got mixed in with sex, sexual fantasties, a willing partner and having to come to reality she was a sneak, lair and things he didn't like. Far more complicated tumalutuous affair than he just wasn't that into you.

wasthinking, I totally agree with your description of their relationship/affair. When it first started is was very different then when it ended and he had started to catch her hacking his stuff and lying etc etc which did make it the complicated tumualutuous affair that you described. Curious how many people here think that Travis knew she was coming to see him on the 4th?

They spoke on the phone on the 2nd and the 3rd, but there are no records of any phone or email contact after 8:32pm on 6/3 between them.

I thought I remembered hearing or reading somewhere that she called him in those early morning hours or when she got out front or something saying she was there and he asked why and then he told her to come in. I also thought I remember the room mate said that Travis told him that Jodi called and said was coming or almost there and that he was surprised by her and the room mate said that Travis thought it odd since this had not been discussed with j prior. I personally don't think he knew she was coming and the reason she had to get to him so desparately was the fact that he had told her he was coming out to see her and that never happened. Then she found out about Mimi and Cancun etc and she came totally unglued and was frantic to get there. I think if and when she told him that she was either almost there or outside his door in the car. I think she totally surprised him and caught him off guard. My opinion of course but does anyone else remember reading or hearing that she had just showed up there that night???

I think Jodi's story about the gun is going to be that Travis had it for them to role play same sex fantasy game with it. She is going to say she has no idea how he got it.

I am not convinced that before the 3rd of June or the very early morning hours of the 4th that he knew she was coming. If clip was true, there was that guy that she sorta knew at that internet cafe or whatever it was on that day before...the one who lent her money (if that is true, although she did make some bank deposits before leaving CA so I think she borrowed from more than one person) and he said she was frantic and was saying I have to get to Travis or something along those lines. I really think in the very beg of June is when she she finally found out for real that Travis was taking a female with him to Cancun and that is what totally made her come undone. Up till that time even though she had moved at least in her eyes she was still his girl and outside of being able to come over whenever she or he wanted her to they were still doing the phone calls and texts all the time. She may have thought he was going to take this trip alone and then came Mimi.
This is how I feel at this point in time but of course that could be subject to change if I hear some thing solid that could prove otherwise.

I watched one of those killer shows yesterday. It was about the McCools. This tiny female dressed as a ninja, went into her mother's home in daylight, stabbed her many, many times-then slit her throat.
She started stabbing her mother in the back. Then she flipped her mother over and started stabbing her in the face. (so much so mom had no face left) Then she slit mom's throat from ear to ear-all the way down to the spinal cord.
The reason she said she slit the throat. Because she wanted to make damn sure her mother was dead and couldn't recover. She told cops that a rage went over her with the first stab wound. That's why she couldn't stop until all the rage was gone out of her body. The girl also told police when they arrested her that he husband helped (he did)

That's what I think happened to Jodi. If Jodi had help-any kind of help- she would have already talked.

Jodi, IMO, hated Travis. She was jealous of Travis. She hated Travis because she knew Travis didn't think Jodi was good enough for him. She was a great bumping buddy, but bad wife material.
Travis loved the sex with Jodi, but he hated the other stuff (like talking) with Jodi. She was about as boring as watching paint dry. She can't even form sentences without going into long details. She didn't just pick that up in court either. Listen to her on the sex tape.

I can tell that Jodi tries very hard to speak proper. She likes to use big words too. She does it to make herself sound very smart and educated. It's the rumbling on that ruins that illusion.
