I think they are going to try to say that she brought a gun with her because she was traveling to Utah by herself in that rental and needed protection. I don't think she will admit that she stole it from her grandparents either. I wonder how they are going to try to explain away that one was stolen mere days before Travis is shot with the same caliber?? That to me is what gives Juan the premeditation that he needs for the DP. I would be fine if she got life in prison without parole, but I would rather her worry about her execution date and when they were going to kill her. I would like it better if Arizona were more like Texas and actually had a express lane for the DP.. but they don't. Seems like it takes forever for this state to have an execution.

Oh that's a good conclusion and one I hadn't thought of yet. Didn't they bring up that one of his pillows was cut up to use as a "binding" for their sexcapades? That would give a reason for the knife to be in the bedroom. And if they use the gun was also part of role playing, then we are going to hear more about their sex life. UGH. Can't wait for this trial to refocus on her killing him and off of how deviant T was. (cause I just don't think he was.)

I think the whole "going off the grid" scream just as much premeditation as the gun. If you are visiting a friend for a fuck.....why take your cell down? Why borrow gas cans? If a friend knew I was coming they would be checking in on me as time goes by. Friends visiting friends don't hide.

First call was just under 18 minutes, the second about 41 minutes
June Mon 4 am Talked to Travis early Monday morn (6/25 Flores)
4:03 am Arias called Travis at 4:03 a.m. The call lasted 2 minutes, 48 seconds

June 3 8:16 p.m Arias calls Alexander. call lasted 2 minutes, 9 seconds
8:31 p.m Arias goes to a CVS pharmacy.
8:34 p.m Arias calls Alexander again call lasts 49 seconds

She should beg for the death penalty, because that's what she told Flores she would do, if she really killed Travis. Whether or not, her twisted mind has started to convince herself that she really was defending her life that night, is irrelevant. She snatched the life from someone's body. She deserves to die. Like 4 years and 8 months ago. But the best we can do is for her to die, TODAY.

Personally, I think this killing was more about money than sex. I think Jodi owed him a boatload of money. She owed him for travel, bought his car and promptly ruined it. The check that he had for two payments is fishy. The check is dated may 25th and he hasn't deposited it yet? It's for 2 payments...sort of shows she was behind in her low, low payments of $100 a month. I think she wrote that check after the killing and put it in his desk. She claims he had been borrowing money, yet he doesn't deposit a check she sends him? It does not make sense. In the phone sex tape she talks about money...wanting to travel with him to DC if she could afford it. She is having to give up her car because she can't afford it, yet she drags it back to northern Cali behind the uhaul. So she still had her original car with payments and now has to pay Travis for the BMW that is ruined. Her financial situation went from bad to worse. She's living in a shack with grandparents and Travis is living the good life going to Cancun with another woman and making plans for more trips. When she talks about her desire to go to DC with Travis, He doesn't comment on her money woes....let alone offer to help her out with any future trips. He tells friends in early June, that she hacked into his myspace and was pissed about that. I'm sure he was reminding her about owing money for his car, they had lawyers too and they don't come cheap (wonder if they used PPL?). All sorts of financial stress for both of them. She moved back to little yrecka, which had limited employment opportunities for her. In court she makes a snide comment that he pawned his car off on her. She showed her hand there that she was bitter over the whole fucked up car thing. I bet when she told him about her trip to so cali, he may have mentioned something about affording trips when she was behind in car payments. I bet she said she would swing by his place with the car payments and sex. That made him feel better and so he agreed to it. She had to borrow money for the trip and maybe even some of the money she borrowed was to cover the the 2 car payments. Perhaps she offered up sex in exchange for reducing her debt with him. Didn't she say she bought the car for $5000 with $100 month payments? That is 4 years of payments....she would have to have contact with him for the next 4 years because of the car. I bet she was bitter as hell that Travis, PPL's up and comer with the nice house, fancy suits, tailored shirts and expensive trips was insisting she settle her debt with him. She offers up that he took the BMW being trashed so well, yet he gives her the double bird when she drove off. I doubt he took it all that well..hence the double bird. I bet they were fighting like cats and dogs over money.

Notice also in court she comments about credit cards. She borrowed money for the trip yet she deposits the money in the bank and used credit cards for purchases along the way. I'm betting she planned to blackmail him for the debt. The sex talk was for blackmail purposes...not to make him love her, but so he would let the car debt go. I think she wanted to move on with another up and comer in PPL (Ryan) but that debt was like an albatross around her neck. I think she went there to try to eliminate the debt and when he didn't do it willingly, she killed him. She probably felt he owed it to her for sexual favors. How much do prostitutes charge for anal sex anyway?

How did she kill him so effectively? She slaughtered a larger, stronger man and was barely injured. All this after driving for days overnight, barely sleeping, having sex a few times.

I cannot figure out how she killed him so quickly, brutally, and completely. Her attack was perfect, lethal, and took less than 2 minutes. She had no real injuries.

Did she point the gun at him and make him sit down in the shower? Put the gun against his head and then stab him in the heart, hitting the major blood vessels in a one in a thousand shot?

Did religion have anything to do with it? Travis sinned with premarital sex and was killed before he could repent - now he burns in Mormon hell?

I see Travis as flawed too, but I think that's the thing that makes so many people pony up to be on 'Team Travis'-loss of a lot of potential. Jodi made the one choice that had finality to it and with it she took away the last of her real potential and all the potential Travis had. He had come so far, and it's obvious he had so much more potential, so who knows where he could have gone with it if she had not killed him. They both made bad decisions but she made a decision that took away the opportunity for future decisions.

yeah the thing is I can identify with how Jodi must have felt, I have felt truly miserable for a long time when I realized a relationship wasn't going to work out. I also can understand wanting revenge against someone you feel has wronged you and feeling like you'll never get over it and can't bear to see them move on without you. But what it took for her to seriously entertain the idea of murder and then carrying it out in what seems like a very premeditated way is what I can't fathom. Add to it the way she has behaved since and it's just incomprehensible. I'm not into taking teams with either of them for the same reason you said though.

I appreciate your candor, but at the end of the day that was your fault, hanging on to shit that wasn't real. just like it was Jodi's. Not his fault.

Um...I didn't say he was unique in having flaws. As you said, we all have them. It was just an observation.
