That's a great question. Beth Karas answered this question one day on one of the shows she goes on.

She said that nobody knows because the jury filled out questionnaires and they are not released. She said it is very unlikely they have any Mormons in the jury.

Somebody was asking about the gun. Sorry, I can't remember who. This is what I found this morning on Huff post

Elizabeth Northcutt, a forensic firearms examiner for Mesa police, testified she had examined a cartridge casing found at the crime scene. Northcutt said the casing was for a Winchester .25-caliber semi-automatic.

This. Just this. The noise in her head was starting to rage.

I'm not knocking what you're saying, but I highly doubt that Jodi would know how to un-jam a pistol. Plus, of all of the weapons (pistols, rifles) that her grandparents had, she took a .25, which isn't particularly powerful. She wasn't the brightest crayon in the box.
That's what I was saying, she didn't know how to use the gun. It wasn't really jammed - it just didn't fire because she hadn't cocked it. Only mentioned it then because there was a discussion about the ninja confession, where she said the ninja's gun jammed, and her basing her lies on some truths.

I'm getting dizzy trying to keep up with her lies and Nurmi's back-ups. I feel bad for the jury, because they are supposed to listen carefully to all this stuff - then not discuss it with anyone until they are in deliberation. This Jodi testimony is such a big waste of time.

As for the $200.00 check, it represented two months payments on the BMW that Travis gave her, (and she immediately trashed on the U-Haul dolly). She left it in Travis house the day she killed him. It's always been a bit mystery to me why the cops didn't use that to prove that she was there. I suppose the pictures were enough. Jodi asked about that check during one of the telephone conversations when she was fishing for information from the police before she was arrested. She wanted to know if it was going to be cashed. Flores told her no.
I don't recall hearing any testimony that Travis was experiencing financial "difficulties". However i think Chris and Skye Hughes mentioned that Travis relationship with JA was having a negative impact on Travis income and theirs too.

I agree! The body language in many pics of Travis and JA does not reflect a couple in love. Travis seems at best disinterested.

From the State VS Jodi Arias FB page
Hi everyone. I've been asked to address the issue of Travis' parents and report a couple of new facts that have come to light.

    1. As you may know Travis' parents are no longer alive. His father was killed in a motorcycle accident [on T's birthday] and his mother died of a medical condition. At the time of their deaths, they had both turned their lives around and were no longer taking drugs.

    2. It's been reported that Arias' mother made a complaint about jury misconduct. What they didn't report was that she claimed the Alexander family had been seen talking to jurors. The defence immediately moved for a mistrial. Each juror was called into the Judge's chambers and questioned individually. The mistrial was denied. Arias' mother lied.

    3. On the morning the sex tape was played, court was delayed due to Arias being upset. The reason was that she didn't want her sister or father to hear the full recording. You may recall that she called her sister stupid and dumb during the conversation with Travis. She did everything to delay the inevitable, even taking her time getting dressed.
I doubt that's the reason that she didn't want the whole tape played. It was just a convenient excuse. She didn't want the whole tape being played because she knew that it would show she was happy and enjoying it.

For all those who are grossed out at viewing Jodi's crinked up finger, I have come up with a solution. I have knitted a finger cozy to hide her finger.

Precisely right! So this is the woman who admitted slashing and shooting her ex lover and she's worried about calling her sister stupid? Puuulllleeeze! I don't buy it for a second. I also think she didn't care about her family hearing the tape...she could have asked them to leave the courtroom if she did. Heck, any normal family would have probably left for their dignity and her's anyway, but I digress...

After hearing the tape it was obvious why she didn't want it all played!

Maybe you can just knit her hair curtain into a cozy that completely covers her face at all times!

thanks bermstalker, I was looking for the model of the gun. Haven't found it stated anywhere other than it was an "automatic"

    http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov...2/m5562337.pdf

On May 28, 2008, the defendant?s grandparents reported the theft of a .25 caliber automatic pistol to the Yreka, California police department.

The police report for that incident states that the defendant was present and spoke with an officer about her presence at her grandparents home earlier that day.

On July 15, 2008, the defendant was interviewed by Detective Flores. During that interview, Detective Flores asked the defendant about reporting a .25 automatic gun stolen. The detective noted that a .25 caliber gun was the same caliber of weapon used to kill Travis Alexander. Eventually, the defendant told Detective Flores she did not know there was a gun at her grandparent?s home until her grandparents reported it stolen the day the burglary was reported to police. She also told Detective Flores that she did not know what a .25 caliber gun looked like. She said her grandfather said the stolen gun looked like a toy gun.

Defendant wishes to preclude State from presenting evidence related to the theft of a gun that occurred in Yreka on May 28, 2008 - DENIED

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to tiggrrl72077 again.

Of course she did! Total premeditation! I'm sure she said it was unrelated, but what are the chances that a .25 caliber gun is stolen from the home you live in and the very next week you use a .25 caliber gun to kill someone?

If been asked to give more reps b4 giving raisedbywolves .. lol

That posts sounds to me like a poster giving an opinion of their own while pretending to have inside connections. There is no new info in it.

Agree on the family of Arias. She or any self respecting parent would have left for that part, at least the Dad and young siblings. But we are dealing with assholes that wanted sell BS to the National Enq

I agree on all parts of your post. I have to spread the reputation around before giving it to you again too, WasThinking!

To me it's almost as if she drug her whole family out this week just in the hopes that the jury might feel sorry for her being embarrassed in front of them when the sex tape played. Why haven't they been there (besides Mom and Aunt) before all of this drama?

I don't blame them for trying, that's their job and it is pretty damning evidence. Might even tried to run with too prejudicial, blah blah haven't proved she stole it blah blah.
Either way for her self def claim, she's going to have to dream up a gun and WHY she brought a gun to a sex session.

yup agree ... just another poor pitful me attempt.
I think maybe Angela was there before? Or someone that looked a lot like her. Sorry I didn't care or think it important enough to snap it. It was the last couple days when I was digging through older vids of the trial to find Kevin Freidman's testimony about the theft. Which I never found but ... day 2-7 is where I was reviewing.

    1. Travis had a mannerism w his face, raised eyebrows even in pics where he is alone. I refer to this in men as the "I'm too cool" look.
    2. We clearly know by now, he was definately IN to her in more ways than one. From sex to 'you are beautiful' statements.
    3. If anything, complying with any photo with her supports he was connected in some way and not objecting to being seen with her.
