every one has the right to their opinion, and i don't think he was a saint, but i do think there are extenuating circumstances here - living in a meth lab the first 10 years of his life - when 0 - 3 years old are the most important time in the development of a person, plus he had addict parents, so i bet he has addictive traits and that jodi became an addiction for him, and we don't know what kind of relationship they really had, maybe she agreed to be just a fuck buddy, thinking he would come around and finally decide he loved her and wanted to marry her - i know ppl who have done that - and if that was what they decided to be that then their convo would be right up that alley - thats why i don't make the assumption he is a total asshole

I'm sure that is what was going down with Jodi. She was biding her time, being everything she thought he wanted, just waiting for the day that Travis would want to marry her. She was dropping hints in that sex tape of marrying a kinky mormon...I think she was hinting that he wouldn't find someone nearly as adventerous in bed when picking from the virgin flock from the ward. It's too bad she couldn't express in words what she wanted and how she felt, instead of going postal on the poor guy. It's too bad she didn't abandon a relationship that caused her so much inner tumoil, instead of having a malignant belief that she could make Travis love her. She shows so much passive/aggressive behavior on her part which is truly a nasty thing to deal with in a partner. It was like she expected Travis to read her mind and if he didn't pick up on her needs then she got all moody. This was the couple with ultimate problems in communicating. She had a well established past of having failed relationships, but then an added weirdness of being friends with most of them. It's like she can't let go of anything.

I do feel for Travis and his family. His childhood sucked and then to have his parents die when he was still relatively young, never having the opportunity to reconcile his childhood with his parents. It is amazing that he took a good path in life and it's a credit to his grandparents for stepping up and caring for the children. I agree with your thoughts on a sex addiction and it being due to addictions in the family.

Travis seemed to plan every aspect of his life. He had notions of a picture perfect family. He mentioned viewing dating as an extensive job interview for marriage. If you look at relationships that way, I doubt you could ever find the perfect mate. There would always be something that isn't perfect. It's all very sad. If he could have only seen that at some time he would have to give Jodi up, if he planned to marry a "nice girl". Do you think she would allow that to happen? I think we are fortunate that only 1 person died (that we know of..where is Bobby and Victor?). I imagine Lisa probably was close to being harmed

I may be hard on Travis right now. Our family recently experienced a family member convicted of sexual abuse of his own daughter and manufactured child porn with her. He was also a church leader and ran a couple youth programs thru the church. He was also a highly critical person of other's weaknesses/problems. Such as my divorce and marriage not being very accepted in the family due to religious beliefs. He was sentenced to 80yrs in prison, and then shipped to a neighboring state, as some of the abuse took place there, to be tried again. They are asking for a life sentence in the 2nd state.

Did this video get posted yet? Apparently one of Jodi's classmates in high school released a sex taped convo between her and her high school boyfriend? Not sure how relevant it is ,but it gets a little strange and somewhat violent. At one point they even role play a murder type scene. Crazy shit and i wonder if this can be entered into evidence now. Who knows, i haven't been following the case that closely so maybe something like this has already been put in play.

I don't even want to debate which came came first, stabbing or gun shot. I've already stated my belief based on what the Medical Examiner concluded from the autopsy (stabs, then slit throat, then gun shot.)

It doesn't really matter to me. Either way, she killed him three ways. All in a very brutal and torturous fashion.

There are a few other things I think are inconsequential to the case.

One is if Travis was a sinner or a saint. Either way it doesn't change the facts that Jodi murdered him in cold blood.

Another thing that has become the focus of this trial is their sex life. It seems obvious to me that Travis and Jodi both liked to get their freak on with each other. This does not make Jodi more or less guilty. This does not make Travis more or less deserving of being murdered. I am sick of hearing about their three hole sex life, their sex tapes , nude pics, and sexual history.

I can't wait until Martinez takes this trial back to where the focus should be. Jodi, with premeditation, murdered Travis in cold blood because if she couldn't have him, no one else would either. The evidence supports this. All the rest is just distractions to try to get the focus off of Travis' murder.

If there is any legacy to be passed down to the rest of us from the life of a young man like Travis Alexander, it is much more than the the final memory of closing the book on his life when, or if, Jodi Ann Arias is executed for having ended it. Unfortunately, in order to learn those lessons, we have to scrutinize all of the details in deciding which one of those can teach us some life lessons, and which ones cannot. The value of Travis Alexanders life, and the lessons it can teach, do not end when the files of the Maricopa County Prosecutors are marked closed. I believe Juan Martinez would agree with me.

I'm more interested in understanding human behavior and what makes people stay in relationships like this and how something like this could happen. I think that's the draw for many to a site like this. We all want to know how and why something like this happened.

Worse, we know they walk among us. My daughter has a friend who has gone off her meds and is making some crazy decisions. I keep thinking I'll hear about her on the news. My boss at my first job at 16 got a murder 1 conviction and was sentenced to death, later to be resentenced to life without parole. You never know what is in the heart of your neighbor or co=worker

I also hate when she has some random defense attorney on her show just to keep things balanced and give their assessment on the pros and cons of Jodi's testimony -- and she will straight up CUT THEM OFF! You are absolutely right about Martinez' immediate task--to pursue and achieve justice in order to preserve the dignity of the State. I saw an attorney on HLN talk about the high level of control that Nurmi is exerting in the court room, but I don't see it. It's dysfunctional control, if any. oh I think it is great they saw the tapes. Now they sit there and stare to see the great liars show themselves.
