Is Skye going to be called as a defense witness at some point or did they only do this so she couldn't help the prosecution?
she did testify yesterday in the evidentiary hearing - i do know she was subpoena by the defense, idk if it was just for that hearing about trying to get a mistrial or if has something to do w/ the phone call when nurmi told her he had 100% proof about the pedo accusations ? (i just posted the video where chris was being questioned about that in the evidentuary hearing where i called nurmi a liar for what he said to his wife on the phone) - was she released from watching tv and doing interviews like gus and abe were yesterday??? if she wasn't, i bet they are going to call her to testify about that phone call and any possible doubts she had after that

Did they find that, was it in the camera bo/ x bag new not out? Or missing? Very likely could be the remote landed on the floor getting stepped on or Travis crawling on?
Are you sure there would be a remote with that camera?

yah ironically they both had big smiles on their faces while describing how they thought Travis and Jodi were going to get married. Right off the bat they said they felt that way. this was in the 48 hours episode. Maybe they were just remembering how they felt at that point. Obviously their opinion changed over time and then Jodi ended up killing their friend so their opinion was solidified. And now all they want is justice!!

no, it was admitted previously a day or two. Juan came out talked to the family and reporters said the family and Juan were smiling. That is why I thought it was calling JA's bluff and she was upset it didnt work.

i was reading from an attorney that in big cases like this with so much ecidence it is not unusual for the court to give final ruling on evidence the day it is presented in court and thats why we get so many delays and chamber meetings - i looked it up because i couldn't understand why there was so much waiting and last minute rulings - i guess its pretty common, especially w/ the judges heavy court scheduale she is still carrying

hmmm i wonder if they are really going to call her or they don't want her calling martinez any more when she sees jodi's lies and tips him off to it anymore?

    State calls Abe Abdelhadi.

Again, Nurmi is whining he had no knowledge of the witness being called and states he has done television interviews.

Abe has known Searcy for 6-7 years.

He spoke to Searcy about the trial.

Searcy told him the prosecution hadn?t returned any of his calls. Searcy was surprised and insulted by this.

Nurmi wants to recess again until tomorrow.

He will also be back tomorrow at 3:30 by telephone.

    here is the second day

abe starts around 53 mins (chris is in the beginning about the forged letters and how nurmi lied to his wife) all he talks about referring to jodi breaking up, was that jodi called him and told him about travis - he never said (or was never asked) if he did or did not know about the email (its funny how nurmi tries to twist his words but abe won't let him) and then creepy gus comes back
Thank you I do not think I had seen this before, do you have the first part when Chris Hughes testified? His dislike of her attorney is extremely obvious

I guess from that perspective, it's GOOD that Abe is out there doing interviews and calling out Jodi's lies. He's not on the witness list!

MissMandy9 I did have a question, when the jury goes out for break is Jodi allowed to speak to her family? Are they allowed to give her anything (maybe a Toblerone bar? )

Has anyone ever noticed her eyes aren't symmetrical. I think it's the right one that's slightly 'crossed'. It used to be called 'lazy' eye and was often seen in the population about 50-60 years ago. The condition makes people appear 'different.' Since then a simple surgical technique has been developed to correct it as soon as it is noticed in very young children. It looks like Jodi's parents didn't get her the operation. Or maybe I'm seeing things

You're not seeing things. People here have affectionately referred to it as "wonky eye".

Even with the surgery though, it happens sometimes. My ex had a lazy eye and it was especially apparent when he was tired. It was significantly worse before the surgery though.

They did it yesterday a.m. just as she left the witness stand during the hearing of the prosecutorial misconduct hearing. You can see it on the tape--an exchange between Nurmi and the Judge.

Can't assume she never had surgery, not all are 100% successful. And as it is a muscle issue, it can be worse at different times.

Thanks. I knew the word 'wonky eye' from my childhood but didn't want to use it. Wasn't sure whether it's now considered demeaning in these PC times. I didn't see it mentioned in previous posts.

Oh, it's definitely not PC... I don't think most people here are easily offended though.

Most of the insults thrown at Jodi wouldn't be said about an innocent person, either.

No, she hardly even looked at her family. During the breaks, she stayed at the defense table chatting with her attorneys. At lunch and at the end of the day, the bailiff escorted her through the door to her right (where you see her appear from) as soon as the judge dismisses court. And although her family is right behind her, they never exchanged words--- barely a glance. (At least that's what I observed while I was there for those couple days).

I do believe there are relationships out there like yours and maybe Jodi's and Travis's. It's unfortunate. I too had a relationship with someone where the sex was amazing and kept sucking me in even though we weren't bf/gf. Just sex buddies I guess. I did get jealous at points where he would talk to other girls and the rage was deep. I can see how your head can get messed up.

I just can't see where Travis was an abuser. She liked the sex and she liked to "roll play" and be the whore he wanted her to be. They both liked it. I think this was because she couldn't handle him being with other girls. If she couldn't have him, no one will type of thing. hmmmm.....
I totally blame Jodi for all of it. From the get go she allowed him whatever. She never said I don't like this or that makes me uncomfortable. She just went with whatever she thought would make him happy. Poor guy has no clue. I think she saw a cute and apparently successful guy that PPL was touting as the next big success, who showed interest in her and she immediately wanted him forever. They quickly jump headon into a relationship really not knowing each other. The more Travis got to know her, the more he came to realize she wasn't someone he wanted to share his planet with. The relationship was doomed from the start. His standing in the church and his image at PPL was far more important than any girl. Marrying a girl that had spent the previous 10yrs going from man to man, with no real breaks in between, would not be appropriate wife material for someone like Travis. It didn't matter if she converted and had a clean slate religionwise, she was still damaged goods. It didn't help that everyone in Travis' life felt the need to put their 2 cents in. If let be, they may have ended the relationship on their own....or at least keep it safely in the open.

Travis was a hypocrite and an asshole. He was using Jodi, but it seems Jodi was agreeable to it. It seems to me Travis was a narcissist and Jodi was histrionic or maybe borderline. Neither one would be very good marriage material. Jodi attempted to manipulate Travis with sex in the hopes he would fall in love with her and she just fucking exploded over the trip to Mexico...the travel was their thing and how dare him to take someone else, especially someone who wasn't interested in him romantically. I don't really care if she thought Travis was a bully...society does not need Jodi's in the world.

    Yesterday at 3:31pm ? ..

Jurors continue to watch Arias. A few take notes. One female juror who sits in the first row, closest to Arias, often looks straight ahead--not at Arias--when Arias gives a long, narrative answer, addressing the jury. Several jurors look at Nurmi as he asks a question then turn to Arias for her answer. But not that juror closest to Arias.
