I don't think In Session ever bothered to announce there's no trial today. LOL
I think Martinez wanted to give Jodi a preview of the cross, in hopes of getting her to STFU
Seems the sniffles were going around. Tanisha had kleenex too. I've heard a lot of coughing for about a week now also. Sorry, I don't believe the judge isn't professional or showing against any side (which would be cause for mistrial).
Our consolation for today .. Slasher spends Valentine's behind bars, off camera, no stage to bash Travis on.![]()
le' boo. Got to the end of the thread only to find out no court.
Guess I can actually leave the office at lunch time today then![]()
I agree. He is a complete attention-whore liar. So disgusting. Trying to profit of of Travis' death.
Lol! Me too!!
I agree. I bet Nurmi and Jodi wish they would have thought of that. I hope they don't read this and get any ideas.![]()
Thanks for letting us know. Can't say I blame the judge. Jodi is literally making people sick with her lies. Travis was right. Everything she touches turns to sh**.
Yep.
I think it goes to her real motive for writing the letter. She is saying Travis made her. Yeah, right.
I don't think Martinez is allowed to address the jury directly except in opening and closing.Maybe he can sneak it in somehow. I'm worried he might come across badly, but I hope that any passion he shows comes across as righteous indignation for justice for Travis.
Well, you are a nun, so, yeah.
Lol! That's quite a visual.
Me too. For once I'm looking forward to the break. Jodi was starting to literally make my head hurt.
Interesting thought. I don't think the judge would do that, but it might work out in the favor of the prosecution either way. I really think Nurmi was stalling and that he had a reason for it. This will hopefully completely through off whatever games he's trying to play with regards to the timing.
It also gives Martinez a few days to sort out all the crap Jodi has been spewing.
No joke!!!! I seriously might do this.
I love it! Nurmi has GOT to be driving her insane. She is really bending over backwards to allow him so much leniency, and he just keeps pushing the line.
I thought she looked off yesterday. I even commented on her rosy cheeks. Hope she rests up and comes back strong on Tuesday!
If I were to guess, I would say that Martinez is going to try to be as short with his questioning as he can be. He's sharp, so he'll be able to go straight to the heart of things, and I think he knows that the jury is probably bored at this point. He will come in shart and swift and to the point and get out. At least that is what I'd do (knowing nothing about being an attorney).
I might be able to go on Tuesday, but I don't know if I want to. I want to see JM in action, not listen to her long ass boring stories. Of course, they might get to the murder by Tuesday, which might be good. But really, I'm more interested in seeing JM cross examine her. So basicall, I can't decide if I want to go to the trouble or not.

Did we not all say that Gus Searcy would be making the rounds?
He's gonna be on with Vinnie Politan today at 2:00pm EST (noon in Arizona)...
Very well said!!!
Oh, I hope you go. I wish I could!
You are both lucky. If I lived close I would definitely go. I wish I could convince my husband that I should really be there!![]()
Don't think he'd buy it though.
ETA: I would ONLY go if Martinez were up to bat. No way could I sit and listen to only Wurmi and Jodi.
Bummer for me, I got up extra early today to get all my Valentine's errands done so I could watch court. Oh well. Maybe I'll go take a nap!

Oh please. Judge needs to be honest: She didn't want to get to the massacre on V-Day.
Someone mentioned earlier this morning that she seems to be focused on one of the jurors, it seems I noticed something like that yesterday too that when they were filing out on break she kind of gave that little smile you do when you see someone you are familiar with but don't really know. I really hope she is not but there was just a quick flash of that.
Watching the re-play of yesterday's testimony, I can totally see little flashes of "psycho" coming out here and there. You can just see that she's trying to hold it back.
Right now, I'm specifically talking about the letter she wrote to Travis. It's very obvious to me that it really bothered her (and since it's a letter she wrote, we know there is more truth to this bit of testimony than others where she was more free to "embellish").
She's trying hard to keep that meek, victim demeanor, but I don't think it's working here. Maybe it's just me...
She stabbed him first. Forensics even stated that in the early days of the trial. The shell casing was on top of the blood. Not vise versa. Meaning there was already blood on the ground when she shot the gun. The shell casing flew out and landed in the pile of blood. You can see it in the crime scene photos. IMHO, she stabbed him in the chest, he did try to defend himself due to the defensive wounds on his hands. He came out of the shower to defend himself and fight back, she continued to stab him as he was trying to get away. This is why there are so many crime scene photos with blood splattered everywhere! All over the bathroom and hallway. She shot him in the bathroom at some point before he escaped to the hallway area. (Casing in the pool of blood) He did get to the end of the hallway. That's where he couldn't fight back any longer. He was close to death at this point. She grabbed his sheets, put them under him and dragged him back to the bathroom. Along the way, she sliced his throat to finish the job. This is where you see the pictures of the hallway. If you look closely, you can tell he was dragged down the hallway due to the bloodstains on the hallway that smear along the wall. Also, there is a clean area along the middle part of the hallway where he was dragged. (This is why his sheets/blankets were in the washing machine) She sliced his neck in the area where there is a shit load of blood on the carpet. She drags him into the bathroom, throws his lifeless body into the shower and washes him off. She is freaking out at this point and knows she has to get out of that house. That is why nothing was cleaned off. She leaves his room, locks the door, throws his stuff in the washer and leaves.
That's my story.....![]()
I was actually trying to quote the guy/girl you were quoting too. Sorry Justice!
I wonder if this case is going to cause change in stats for suicides for all of 2013 or just Feb of 2013? Imponderable.
Judge called in sick. Trial will resume Tuesday due to Monday being Presidents Day.
