This may well have been discussed waaayyyy back in the thread. But, I'm still curious about the duct tape that was on Travis' arm in those sex poses the day he died. I was hoping to hear something about duct tape on their sex tape, but nothing. He had it wrapped around his right arm, but it was removed by the time he was in the shower (you could still see the mark, though). Do you guys think this was kinky role playing?

Who knows what significance she might have placed on Mexico, or Cancun specifically, based on their past together? He might have said something romantic about taking her there months and months earlier, then forgot about it, and when he decided to go there without her she lost her shit and started planning all of this.

IIRC, there were a few places in Mexico that were in that book they were following - 1000 places to visit before you die. I guess she wanted to check them off her bucket list. I wonder if "butcher someone" was on her list also - check!

I found this forum because I was trying to find out more about Deanna Reid. She was supposed to be the girlfriend Travis had before Jodi, the crazy jealous ex. Then it was her name that was used for the last sign-on on Travis' computer. Am I right so far?
So, did they say anything else about her? Was she there that night? Jodi was using her sign-on? Jodi was trying to set her up?

Travis got the laptop from his ex which is why it showed he was logging onto the sites (youtube, etc) as "Deanna Reed"- I'm assuming he never set up his own profile on the computer.

I think if anything that phone call from yesterday just further proves premeditation. She knew, during that phone call, that she was going to see him, and if he didn't change his mind about Mexico, she'd kill him. At this point she was set on her story being "I was never there, I didn't see him" so she recorded this phone call as proof of "See, we really liked each other, I would NEVER hurt Travis", just as she was saying in the beginning. When she made this recording she clearly wasn't banking on all the forensic evidence she'd leave in his room.

You may be onto something here berm, there have also been alot of comparison to the scenes from Psycho. What if she set it all up to be a role play version of the movie, explains why knife was present and the eerie comparison to some of the photos. Mayhem - I've also been wondering about the duct tape since the beginning. It was a piece of evidence near the washer/dryer. I also can see the mark on his right arm in the first shower pic, where his hands are crossed and clasped tightly in front of his body. I also actually saw it ON his arm in one of his naked pics on the bed. Maybe it goes along with what bermstalker stated, as part of their sex role-playing fantasies.
