Sigh - I missed everything after the phone call due to bad family news. Sigh. A while back I mentioned my sister-in-law who has extreme Narcissistic Personality Disorder and exhibits MANY of the same characteristics as Jodi. Well, apparently she pulled a loaded gun on my brother. I'm terrified that I might end up in the same position Travis' sisters are in right now. Just feeling that possibility makes me way more heartbroken for them. Dear God, please don't let that happen and don't let the children come to harm. Sorry to vent here, but it seemed ironically like a fitting place.

This makes me all the more want justice for Travis. If I had to sit through my SIL not only having murdered my brother but then to defile him in every other way (which she would because that's what NPD people do - everything is the other person's fault and never their own). I don't think I could keep my cool like his family is now. I think they have shown great class!

Wow, that is terrible. Can he get a restraining order against her? Can he file a police report for her pulling a loaded gun on him? I understand that sometimes people might not be willing to do that, especially against a loved one. But, I think it would at least give the police the ability to show up and arrest her the first time, should she turn up on your doorstep.

I suspect Travis was inexperienced as well. He even says to her that he never masturbated until meeting her. That vaseline usage screams inexperience! I think Jody was easy to sin with. Thank you Shahoolie. It helps just to hear the kind words. He had to fly to Sacramento for work today, but will have to go back to their house to get his things and the kids tomorrow. I just went and had him a key made to our house so he can stay with us and the kids too - I don't know how the kid situation will work out, but I don't want them there. I hope she wouldn't, but I fear the idea of her using the kids to hurt him or actually hurting the kids. I'm hoping he allows me and the hubs to go with him to the house just to make sure she doesn't try anything (and I will definitely have my husband bring his gun just in case - I pray it stays in its holster, but maybe the presence will be enough to keep her from doing anything stupid).

And my brother is SUCH a good man. Like, there aren't many husbands like him in the world - makes a good living, very loving, involved in the family, great with the kids, cleans the house, spoils her rotten...etc.

Ugh, tearing up. Bless Travis' family, how did they deal with going through it actually happening. I'm terrified just at the prospect. WHY do people do stuff like this - and to people they love?!?!

The fascinating thing about that phone call is that I actually entertained a notion this week that perhaps Travis did treat her worse than I originally thought...that perhaps he did get a little "handy" with her at times, that maybe he pushed her around now and then...but after that call? Nope. Listening to her in that call and now, acting all "shy" and "embarrassed" again, forget it. She loved every minute of everything that happened, and she killed him because he wasn't ever going to marry her.

The bottom line with self defense is this: If it had happened that way, she would have told that story from the beginning. She swore up and down she wasn't there, she swore up and down that ninjas did it...and then, when they had her red-handed, the only thing she could possibly do to save her sorry ass is to kill Travis all over again.

I totally agree with this, the more you listen to her the more you start to think, well maybe.... My boyfriend will half listen while working on something else and when she tells one of her whoppers he turns around and says oh damn she is good. The sex tape basically undercuts the idea that Jodi was a "dirty little secret" or that she was doing anything just to please Travis.

She was very vocal about enjoying it and talking about planning future sexcapades. He also was very nice to her, complimenting multiple times. She actually said he made her feel like a goddess, more than once.

It also blew up her claim that Travis treated her as a booty call and not romantic. There was mention of Travis creating a romantic time with bubble bath and rose petals.

Jodi also talked about how she wanted to marry someone she could have freaky sex with.

All in all, she basically shot herself in the foot by bringing the sex tape in.
