This is incredible to me! Those are clearly not Travis's hands. Who knows and who cares if they are Darryl's, but they aren't T-doggs. Has anyone verified that this is the actual "penis" picture shown in court? I am not accusing anyone, I just have not seen the photos, and I don't want to search, because there's lots on the web I don't want to see. If this is in fact the same photo shown in court by the defense, it is definitely not Travis in the photo. Travis was a meticulous groomer, and proud of it. This of course would include regular manicures. Sky (my wife) was always very jealous of Travis' "beautiful hands." This will be very interesting to see where this goes.

    I hope it's brought up.

I recall reading that there were THOUSANDS of messages between them. If they show one, do they have to introduce all of them for the jury? I'm with ani, I would bet the exchange immediately preceding these is pretty telling.

I've read all if the court minutes for this trial. I've seen lots of references to "State's Exhibit #1"

All the info regarding it has always been "sealed." Here it pops up again in the court minutes for 2/07/13.
What in the word is "exhibit #1"?????

Prior to the start of the hearing, State’s Exhibit #’s 1 and 2 are marked for identification. Argument is presented as stated on the record.
Detective Michael Melendez is sworn and testifies.
    The witness is excused.
Detective Esteban Flores is sworn and testifies.
    The witness steps down.

Oh I'm sure we will hear about Travis kicking puppies at some point.

Also, Jodi is FAR from the religious type. If you follow her and the case, you will realize that she changes her whole person, including religion, based on the guy she is into. She had a guy who wanted to hunt vampires, so she got into that. Then, she dated a guy that was into witchcraft, so she got into that. Then, some random dude tells her about calculating the second coming of Christ, so she jumps onto that. Then, she gets the hots for Travis, finds out he's Mormon, and jumps into that. Jodi was in my ward, I knew her, but I only ever saw her at some activities and never remember ever seeing her at church. Her baptism was done for convenience, not belief. It was done to get herself one step closer to Travis.

Good luck reading all the pages - if you do that before commenting more, we might not hear from you until the trial is over! It's a lot of pages, and the days that trial is on ("usually' Mon-Thur), the pages accumulate REALLY FAST!!! I would recommend looking for links and videos posted, and probably skip most the stuff in between. Also, YouTube has a lot of the trial days you can watch, and that would help you catch up - and its quite entertaining.

I totally agree!! She adapts to whoever she is interested in at the time. On the FB memorial page I believe Aaron Dewey even said the same thing. Let me see if I can find it... Found it had to scroll back a ways
Aaron Dewey Keep in mind that Jodi is a chameleon. She has learned to adapt very well and very quickly to whatever situation she is faced with. She reads people, figures out who they "want" her to be, and she becomes that person. She's not perfect at it, hence why many of Travis' friends didn't like her. But she is very good, and that's how she gets people to trust her. It's easy to see her sitting at the defendant's table and assume you wouldn't ever want to associate with a person like that (I agree!), but most people that meet her are very quickly charmed by her looks and personality (minus the whole psychotic murderer part).

this pic wasn't deleted like the others, it was from her hard drive, so there is no weird shading and distortion, so to me this first clue that the fingers don't belong to travis is that they don't look like a caucasian males fingers - especially travis he is pasty white - though there were pics of darryl where he is very tan, that could work too

Yeah, it took me a while to realize what they were talking about actually. Although, it would have saved me a lot of pricking my feet on those darn things!!!

I think even in that context it still doesn't classify as emotional abuse.

I'm listening to the last speech Travis gave before he died. In it he says "The only change you can count on is the changes you decide to make. And as long as you are putting your life into someone else's hands nothing is going to change." (its at 9:45 on the audio)

Its sad to sit here and listen to him talk and make people laugh and have such a great time knowing what horrible things happen to him a month later.

Ya know, I realize he wasn't making the best choices and had his priorities a little off. However, many people are this way as they are seeking their identity and growing up. I think that, given more time, he would have made realizations that his choices weren't bringing him the happiness or things he wants and seek improvement. Maybe a couple years ago he might have gotten married, could have started a family by now. We will never know, and I think that is the biggest tragedy. She stole the life he could have had. She stole the love he could have shared with a wife and children. She stole the influence he might have had on hundreds or thousands of people. She stole his every chance and opportunity. She took everything from him, and now she is continuing that by stealing what reputation he does have. Truly tragic and THAT is why I despise her so much!

FUCK JODI!!!! Thank you for your assessment!!
Thank you for this. I have been reading through some of your posts and thoughts. I do have a question. When the hunky ME was testifying, did he state whether the wound on Travis' neck was a clean slice or was this sawed through? I cannot imagine the strength that it would have taken to cut through the neck in the manner in which she did. Is it just that she had an extremely sharp knife or that rage was fueling her or both?

i think its the bullet casing - i keep running into statements like this in time lines and case recaps

"blood on the ground exhibt #114 reddish brown substance there - casing is there #1 -top of casing have any blood on it? no! objectcion - overrulled - approach!"

there was a pic of the casing w/ one of those yellow cards w/ numbers way back - but i can't find it now

i don't remember him saying she did it in 1 slice so i might or might not be 1 slice - but what he did say was there were no hesitation marks

    So very well said.

Maybe this is what makes me so passionate about this case.
My father was killed by being shot when I was two months old. He was only 19 years old. I know almost nothing about what happened. Only what my mother has told me. Her details are vague. Her version of events is ridiculous, to say the least. It involves my father being shot five times through a door that he was pounding on. The man who shot him supposedly didn't mean to kill anyone and was afraid my father was going to break the door down. My father was a huge man, 6'4" and over 200 lbs. I have a hope that someday I am able to look into it and find out what really happened.

My mother always paints my father in a bad light. She alludes to petty crimes and possible drug use. Also claims he was physically violent with her. I take everything my mother says with a grain of salt.

Bottom line for me is that I'll never know what kind of man my father would have turned out to be. I never got to know him and he never got to know me. He will never see his grandkids. He never had a chance to lead a "good" adult life because his life was ended way too soon. In honor of all that he will never have I chose to name my son after him.
