idk but here is a thread for technical problems http://mydeathspace.com/vb/showthrea...80#post3311180
Jesus....I just looked at the crime scene and autopsy photos again for the first time in a while...and it all hits me again. Every time. So brutal, so horrible. What the FUCK?!?!?!?

You may be right!
I just wanted to post the lyrics and video of a 15 year old hit song that this case eerily reminds me of.....
I'm not sure which words are threatening so.....You've gotta got to YouTube and watch it again......It's C.....R....I....M...I....N....A....L.........by Fiona Apple.
Questioning something is fine (and laudable), but you still have to take the facts into consideration. Throwing the facts out of the window to be "opened minded" is basically just making stuff up.
The ME did not say that the brain was liquified and then later said it was solid. He said that the brain was too decomposed (and mostly liquid) to see the track where the bullet went through, and that he took "sections" of autolyzed (liquefied or softened) brain tissue. This is not inconsistent. I don't think the defense attorney knew what autolyzed meant.
Similarly, I think that you simply did not understand the testimony. You're willing to throw out the entire testimony of the ME because you don't understand that autolyzed means liquid or softened, and think that he can't possibly take "sections" of this autolyzed tissue, despite the fact that you have never performed an auotopsy or examined an autolyzed brain.
I wasn't trying to insult you. But absolutely, I do find it disturbing when someone who has no special knowledge in an area thinks that they know more than the experts in that area. And this was one of the problems with the Casey Anthony trial, the jurors thought that they knew better than the scientists.

I wasn't using my guessing memory, yikes, it is Sky!
http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov...0/m4272242.pdf
Sky Hughes is sworn and testifies.
The Court has ordered that Sky Hughes shall submit to a deposition.
At the request of Defense,
IT IS ORDERED that after Sky Hughes? deposition is completed, Sky Hughes shall turn
over the victim?s journal(s) to Detective Flores.Chris Hughes is sworn and testifies.
The Court has ordered that Chris Hughes shall submit to a deposition.

Chris Hughes made mention of Travis' writing style in the prosecutorial misconduct hearing. Didn't he reference the journals? Or maybe it was emails? He was saying how he and Skye began to doubt Wurmi's lies because the forged letters didn't seem like Travis' style of writing.
Someone here at MDS has this in their siggy. (Sory, can't remember who, or else I'd give credit.)

Love this.
ETA: it is Monter that has this in their siggy. :)

I understood it fine, it's out there on record.
He said it was liquefied, REALLY NONEXISTANT and had to double talk and back track. Did a pretty good job, only time will tell if a juror didn't like it.
?JW talk a little bit more about the gun shot, obviously we know about, you discuss in your examination report, right?
Yes
?JW and you talk about the track of the bullet begins in the frontal skull right
Yes
?JW and when you're refer to the frontal skull you referring to a frontal bone
Yes, the frontal bone of the skull
?JW okay and we know that it ends in the facial skeleton near the left cheek
Yes
?JW and again, you told me earlier, facial skeleton you're referring to a bone.
Right. the maxilla bone
?JW alright, um now in your report, and let me just ask you did this, actually you did the autopsy on June 12 2008,
Yes
?JW so on June 12, 2008 after doing your report you found no gross evidence of intracranial hemorrhage is that right
Horn looking at report
?JW I?m looking on page 4
Horn: Um yes page 4 of my report
?JW and when you talk about significant intracranial hemorrhage you're talking about bleeding, through the brain right
Right, and at this point the brain is really nonexistent, its almost ah, you can't examine it, its basically become liquid
?JW you can't examine it at all
its very difficult
2:33:50
?? but didn't you actually take slices of the brain? and I'm referring to page 7
Horn looking through report ...flip flip pages
Yes, so its softened, its not liquefied, it is, it is still present but its soft.
?? alright so so ..
Horn sitting up in chair
but you do know that skye hughes would not help jodi, that travis was one of her and chris' best friends - that they carry a lot of guilt that they couldn't save him - and i think it was chris' father david hughes said on an interview that he was the one that introduced travis to jodi (way b4 jodi's testimony of her version) and bears the guilt because he thought of travis like a son
just because you are subpoena by the defense doesn't mean you are on their side
i would think if any one is helping jodi out while she is jail it would be that nut bag donavan berring or her ex matt who said he would lie for jodi
- if you haven't seen it for a while - you should watch the original 48 hrs show on jodi - and you can really see what sky thinks and the way jodi was acting b4 she became and abuse victim

Deformed hand, lol
He must not know her very well, she running the scam that is her finger not her hand these days.
That wasn't Travis, Matt better check with Bobbie. she testified he tossed her around.
She more likely stuck that finger up too many exit holes.
It wasn't too deformed to get her prints![]()
That doesn't erase the fact he claimed it was liquefied and it wasn't.
Or that he stated you can't examine it, but he Examined it.
He said it's nonexistent, then later contradicted himself with, its always there its just the state that its in
It's sloppy stuff like that that scares me. Another killer walking is the last thing I want.
Hopefully it doesn't hurt the case and he learns to read his own reports before court.
The ME misspoke. He corrected himself when he looked at his report. I don't see it as a big deal. He was under a lot of pressure.
The part of the brain that was damaged is the part that the bullet went through. Not the entire brain. He was referring to the front part having damage.
This is the last I will comment on the ME and his testimony about the brain. I can't understand why it is difficult for others to understand what he said.
Yes know all that. I don't think they would ever intentionally help her, but thank goodness what we heard from that misconducted hearing wasn't before the jury.
Not that the def won't find a way to use it in front of the jury if he can. That is when it could be unintentionally damaging.
You do know, Nurmi slapped her and Chris with another subpoena for this misconduct motion he has active. I think it will land where his other ones did, in the denied round file .
Half of me loved hearing Chris call Nurmi a liar right out in court! lmao But, the other half goes into worry, we don't want a mistrial because of an angry hot head. He has a right to be angry. I just worry it could end up another Unintentional mistake. Nurmi is desperate and the law gives too much rope to his kind imo.
