My thoughts exactly!! I've dated some men who treated like or as worse than Travis treated her. I didn't drive even 10 miles to go to their house, get my freak on, take dirty pictures then brutally murder them. They both could have and should have WALKED AWAY.
    Thanks. :)

I've been treated pretty badly a few times too. My ex was the worst to me while we were going through our divorce. It was awful. He didn't want the divorce after we filed and acted like a jerk because he was mad...then he would do the things that made me realize we didn't need to be married anymore and it just pushed me further away. Sad really. He spat in my face (twice), ripped a necklace off of me, put me in a choke hold, punched holes in walls, and called me every name in the book, and then some.

The truth is...he is a really great guy. Honestly. He is now a firefighter and he is a great dad to our son. Our relationship became "toxic." We've made peace and he apologized for everything he did, and I've apologized for everything I did. We get along most of the time, and I'll love him until the day that I die. I could never be married to someone like him again though. My current husband is a freaking saint. One of the best husbands any woman could hope for. I've had two great loves in my life. I consider myself very fortunate.

My point to this long life story of mine is that my ex treated me WAY worse than Jodi was treated. Abuse, or supposed abuse, is not a free pass to murder someone. I also came from a very abusive childhood. My past abuse doesn't give me a pass either.

Jodi should just admit that what she did was wrong. She needs to quit blaming Travis, quit blaming her parents, quit blaming past relationships and just accept that she is the only one to blame for Travis' heinous murder.

(Stepping off of soap box now.)

ETA: I don't share any of this for sympathy. I only share because I think Jodi's excuses are a bunch of BS.

In what ways was he a jerk that most men are not? Have you read what his friends have written, or he himself on his blog? Heard the interviews with his friends and his friend's parents, who say he was trying to break it off and better himself? He knew he had taken the wrong path with this one. As said before, her lips move, she lies.

I'm only posting this because I'm trying to make a point. I was with a guy I knew since high school for 5 years. He would drag me around the house by my feet and swing me around and hit me like a rag doll, almost every day. He would get drunk and break the glass and slice my arms with it and what ever else he could slash. I called the police numerous times. He would suffocate me while I was asleep with a pillow but I would wake up and run to my car to leave, every time. He would pull the E brake on my car when I would be driving and my car would spin out and crashed a few times. He would choke me with his bare hands, all the time. Anyways to make this short as I can, he finally ended up in jail for a DUI and in the time he was in I actually found a great man and I am with him till this day, and so in love. I should have most def left and not stay around for 5 years and I know that was my own fault, BUT, NEVER once did I ever have the thought to slaughter/murder him. EVER. And the funny thing is, he will email me from time to time to say thank you for putting up me and apologizes all the time, which does NOT make what he did okay but that I forgive him but will never forget.

I forgot to add, he would break up with me every weekend so he could bang a new girl all the time. I never got jealous or wanted a REVENGE killing, HA, I just did the same thing and got ass too. Again, making a point...he is still ALIVE!

I would be surprised if any of us cannot come up with their 'story' that can refute JA's lame-ass fucking excuse. I was hit with a belt by my dad growing up (pants down!), spanked with a wooden spoon by my mom (yup, she used to carry it around with her too) AND was abused - emotionally, mentally and physically -by my ex-husband (I won't get into details, I'm just glad I'm alive). And NEVER did I think of killing anybody. REGARDLESS of our stories, we will never be able to accept or justify JA's excuse. Why? Because it's NOT an excuse! She's a fucked up piece of shit who blames everybody and everything except herself. She is WRONG-WRONG-WRONG. Justice11 said it best: Jodi should just admit that what she did was wrong. She needs to quit blaming Travis, quit blaming her parents, quit blaming past relationships and just accept that she is the only one to blame for Travis' heinous murder. The end.

Their "relationship" was most definitely toxic. Unfortunately, we only have Jodi's side of why that was so. Pretty convenient for her that she murdered him, isn't it? She can now trash his name, accuse him of anal rape, pedophilia, and many other awful things. I've got a serious problem with that.

What we know is that Jodi will lie when she feels she needs to. She will lie to make herself look better. She will lie to make others look worse. She will lie about anything. Sorry, but compulsive liars loose all credibility with me.

You and I are each entitled to our opinions. :) Thankfully, this is a forum that allows that. I could go on and on, but I've pretty much said how I feel about this case many times here. I won't bore everyone with repeating everything. Bottom line is, she had no right to murder him. Even if he was the biggest a-hole on earth.

    She is guilty, guilty, guilty.

I am not defending Jodie of murder, she killed him! I am saying he played games with her, knowing she was not all there once they broke up. When a person has had it with someone, they don't continue to have sex with them. When a person breaks up with someone and that someone starts to get scary, it is time to cut all communication with their ex. No one, woman or man would be having sex with their ex, if they slashed their tires , not once but twice. He had all kinds of warnings and he just ignored them, for his sex. He used Jodie plain and simple, he played games plain and simple. He lost his life for being a jerk, plain and simple. Jodie would had probably just moved on, if he was a mature adult male.

I think TA got to fly his freak flag with JA. That was his attraction. But she wanted him see something special inside her that she couldn't because of her low self image.
    They had different agendas.
And she couldn't get him wrapped around her finger like those other dudes. He was the dangling carrot, so to speak.
    She became addicted.
So she worked harder to get him i.e. stalked, sexed, and he became addicted to the sex.
And it became a vicious cycle.
    That's what I think happened

You are lucky he never really hurt you or kill you. I guess most of us have been hurt mentally or physically sometime in the past and most of us don't kill.
There are people who do kill tho. I remember in the past when it was okay to stalk people, there was no law against it. They passed a law about 20 years ago against stalking, because too many women were being murdered by their stalkers. They passed the law for a reason. Stalkers are not something to joke about, they can get very dangerous. The more you lead them on...the more they will hang on.

Yes, he was a jerk. I don't care what his friends say about him. Everyone who knew Jodie also said good things about her. The point is he used her. I am not talking about before the breakup, i am talking about after the breakup. You say most men are jerks, not when they have their tires slashed and have a dangerous stalker lurking. He knew she was obsessed with him , he knew he was playing a dangerous game with her. No one in their right mind would play games with someone who is obsessed and showing stalker signs. Travis did not break it off with her completely, his dick did the thinking instead of his brain or his MORMON MORALS. He was a fake.

I can't quote on my phone but beanojeano are you saying him being a jerk and her being unstable gives her a pass to kill him? Because that's what it sounds like. I don't care if he was a jerk. I'm guessing he had no idea what her true character was. I highly doubt he thought she was capable of murder.

He hurt me, physically and emotionally and he led me on, and on and on, but I allowed that and I take full responsibility for it. When he hit me, I hit hit back 10 fold. He turned into a stalker, he knew where I was at every moment and every where I looked, he was there, that's why I wanted to make it a "short story" lol. My whole point of posting. I was the one that hung on thinking he would be different or change. In the heat of the moment, which was an every day occurrence, I never had a gun or knife handy and slaughtered him and then claim it to be self-defense. FYI, not trying to be offensive :D

ABSOFUCKINGLUTLEY!!! He's the man!! I just hope he can enjoy himself a little now and then over the weekend. It seems odd that he does not have a co-counsel.
I'm sure he has lots of help at the office.

off topic, i found the whoredom email, its in the police report.

With the tour they showed of that Estrella, it has 24/7 monitoring and said that is why they have to limit male staff , plus they have every 15 min walk rounds. This is why I wanted specific to this place.
FYI, I might have been brief, direct, but it I wasnt feeling any snark at all.

I pray every day for Travis' family and for Travis and I know for sure Travis is there in spirit in that courtroom and has everything under control. I have Faith she will get DEATH, I really actually do. I hope and pray Travis' autopsy and evidence photos haunt Jodi every, single, day of her life in that jail cell and reminds her of that sad day she slaughtered and murdered him like a used piece of toilet paper! JUSTICE FOR TRAVIS ALEXANDER
