I wasn't blessed with any kids of my own, but I always said growing up that I'd never leave my children alone with my mother. After seeing how she treated my niece, I am confident that would have been the proper course of action.

Overkill and self defense are not mutually exclusive. Let me change the story a little bit. Jodi was in or near the kitchen and an intruder burst in. She immediately got a knife and told him to get out, but he was not scared and pounced on her instead. He got 4" fatal chest wound during the tackling. He might not realize it right away and tried to grab the knife and she frantically slashed him and slashed his throat. When he realized that he was in big trouble, he was unable to get off her quick because he lost full control of his body from the injuries. She managed to sit up and he fell on her legs and still looked like fighting to her, she stabbed his back more. Are you going to say that it was not self defense because the number and the severity of the wounds? Amazingly, one member said that it was not self defense either. For God's sake, according to this member, Jodi was supposed to check the injury after each attack to evaluate whether he was still a threat. If not, she should stop stabbing and leave. Remember the fight was short, how could she just leave while being pinned down by a man of 200 pounds? The defense got it right about the photo of so called "stripe pant"; it was Jodi's top with a blue shiny ribbon and her little foot sticking out under his body.


Jodi mentioned "self defense" in 2008, she told the detective that she took some self defense class before. I doubt that I can kill a turkey in one minute, I need some self defense class. Guys and gals, do not join the witch hunt. This little lady sure made men uneasy. The size and power of the male, the only obvious advantage over the female , was challenged. If name calling and anal rape are not abusive to you, you have a lot of issues in your relationship. Self defense, 100%, she has been punished more than enough.
