There was an "expert" on Nancy Grace who brought up her choice of words when she was asked how it made her feel that her own mother was beating her at age 7. She said, "Betrayed."

The lady said that's totally uncharacteristic of what children say when they're really abused. They say they feel like a bad person.

As someone with a narcissistic mother who took their fare share of mental abuse as a child--I totally agree with what she said. Children feel like there's something wrong with them--they don't feel betrayed.

I think this is the root of her problem. Everyone "betrays" poor Jodi. In her mind, she's been a victim her whole life. It reminds me of Casey freaking out in jail and saying how her whole life was taken from her.
