Last night on Nancy Grace she said that Jodi had beaten her brother with a baseball bat when he was 5 years old.

I was at work & didn't catch Jodi's whole testimony yesterday.. Bermstalker's summaries were awesome and I didn't see this bat thing mentioned. Did Jodi discuss beating her bro, or was NG referring to some outside piece of information?

Side note: I'm trying to figure out an excuse so I can work from home tomorrow to hopefully catch Martinez's cross-examination -- mostly to keep up with the MDS hilarity on this site in real time. Reading back your comments the next morning is great for laughs but I would feel far less crazy laughing at my screen "in the moment." :)

Oh yeah! His is the second recap I read after court is dismissed each day (you're numero uno, Berm!). I don't know how anyone could recap Jodi's testimony yesterday. It was a hot mess! I needed brain bleach after that!

My husband just said "Hey when you were a kid you got hit with a wooden spoon and you were grounded until you were 18 - if you bring a camera into the shower could you give me a few minutes to go on Legal Zoom to make a will?"

I got it with the wooden spoon and belts too. I also went and lived in Costa Rica as an exchange student. My husband and I were joking about this too! I certainly would never kill anyone!

I agree about the "good" in Travis...he obviously struggled with his shit as we all do, but the blogs he wrote truly resonated with me. He just seemed wise beyond his years in those. :( :(

By the way, I was scrolling back in the thread trying to find something, and I got to re-reading the posts...This sounds so awful in light of the circumstances, but I don't think some of you people realize how fucking hilarious you are.
