its hard to even grasp how sick that is. Especially given the throat was slashed and he was already stabbed.... thats death penalty qualified right there.

I just hope the jury sees it that way. I worry they won't want to put a pretty, soft-spoken woman on death row.

My gut tells me she gets second degree, but I hope I'm wrong.

I think she will be guilty with life. No DP. I swear on baby Jesus if she gets off like CA did, I'm going to lose it. I was angry for a days after that!

ohh! i have a question! all of the body language experts on tv are saying all her moves are showing guilt and lying - but do normal body language rules apply to some one who is a sociopoath or a psychopath since the don't feel guilt?

It she shot him when he was standing up, it would probs be above the stream of water. Also, was the bullet in his head or through and through? I dont remember.
I don't know about that. My co-worker was shot in the head by her husband and ran across the yard (about 200 feet) before she fell to the ground and died. RIP KLF

No one has made the case that Travis deserved to die for using Jodi for sex and playing mind games with her like saying he didn't want to marry her, was looking to get married, and then having sex with her. I'm not sure why everyone is arguing that. Maybe the defense is trying to show that if Travis had this whole secret life apart from what people knew him to be - a 30 year old virgin - then he also could have had a violent streak and temper that they didn't know about. It bothers me that people are so biased that they are looking for every opportunity to see an expression on Jodi's part as signifying something. She cries - it's crocodile tears - she doesn't cry - it's being a cold bitch. Even when I think someone did something as I do in this case, I try to keep an objective stance and it seems like most people don't care to. They want to read into everything through a biased lens and that's a big reason why the court systems don't work and people who really are innocent get convicted. People just aren't capable of being objective, as nice a concept as "innocent until proven guilty" is.
If they have/had one iota of proof that Travis was abusive, violent, and had a temper, I wouldn't be defending their destruction of him. But they don't. So far his ex-girlfriend still thinks highly of him as does every other person who has spoken about him to the media. NO ONE has said he was anything other than kind, compassionate, caring and fun. Even Daniel, who apparently still visits Jodi in prison and writes to her said their relationship was NORMAL. So bring it on.. show me something that isn't forged, that is tangible and proof that he was any of those things and I will change my mind about him. But so far the defense witnesses have done NOTHING for her case. NOTHING.
It doesn't help that Jodi's mom is reported to have tried to sell those forged letters claiming that Travis was a pedophile and wanted Jodi to wear his shirt with his cuff links looking up at him when she blew him. Looking at her mother, her aunt and her friends in the gallery having a good ol' time leads me to believe that their whole family needs therapy. This a murder trial not a PPL meeting. There is nothing worth smiling over, nothing worth giggling over and certainly I haven't seen any compassion out of them anytime the camera has been on them. I don't know what Jodi's childhood was like. But those people leave me cold. A man is dead. Even if Jodi killed him in self defense, he deserves some level of respect. They have none.
As for Travis being 30 years old and not acting like it -- I grew up in a christian household. We never talked of sex, you couldn't wear revealing clothing, (remember dolphin shorts?? Those were slutty in my house), I was raised not to have sex until marriage. It's very hard to live in a secular world when you are trying to live a christian life. It's especially hard when you have someone like Jodi, who is experienced, (her ex-live in confirmed that - Travis was NOT her first Anal adventure), wanting to screw you every chance they get. It's hard to constantly say no, even though you know it's the right thing to do in your walk with God. Most Christians admit their failings.. Mormons seem to have a bigger consequence for sins than some other religions. Maybe Travis was embarrassed. Maybe T prayed to God to forgive him and give him strength to resist Jodi. Maybe he just couldn't. He wasn't that strong in his faith. Some people aren't. But he knew she was not the type of girl he wanted to marry. He wanted something more. I do think that Jodi was his first and that he was enchanted with sex. I think that if she was his first then he really was acting like a high school kid and not a 30 year old. He had much growing to do sexually and learning how to be faithful, loyal and not play the games that HS boys play. He didn't get the chance because Jodi was a psycho and if he didn't want her, then he didn't need to live to be with someone else. She paid the dues and tried to win him over with her sex games and her sex play, and he still didn't want to marry her. She gambled and she lost and instead of being like most girls and eating a tub of ice cream and crying their hearts out, she lost it and killed him. He was on this path to his death the minute he met her.... she was out of his league sexually. She knew how to play the game, he didn't. I am betting he told her either that he wouldn't marry her or was still going to Cancun with Mimi. He should have waited until she left his house. He might still be alive if he had.

I'm sorry about your co-worker. The ME even said on the stand that the gunshot wound would not have rendered him immediately unconscious.

Actually, the ME said he would have been immediately incapacitated from the gun shot wound and the neck wound. It was the stab to the heart that would have taken time.

I think she shows sign of lying...but not guilt. Not at all. Which would apply to being a sociopath. But, I'm not a psychologist....I just play one on the Internet.

I think they are trying to live their faith. They don't have the right to judge only God does. I am sure they go to minster to her and try to bring her back to God. Plus I think Daniel had the HOTS for her.

You're making excuses for Travis' behavior but not for Jodi's. That's the point. Lisa Diadoni, the ex-girlfriend, testified that Travis lied to her and cheated on her. How is that praising him? She also testified that she felt Travis wanted her only for her body. She didn't like that he talked about sex so much, but it didn't stop him. Again, that's praise? She felt Alexander had a lot of sexual tension, which made her feel used and dirty, according to an email Diadoni sent him. Oh, that's praise too, right? Diadoni stated in an email that she had asked Travis not to grab her butt especially in public, but he didn't listen to her. Ahem, more praise. He threw a temper tantrum because she wouldn't cuddle with him while she was carsick. More of that darn praise from "ex-girlfriends that speak highly of him".

A quote of more interesting testimony, this time from Desiree Freeman; "Freeman said Alexander treated Arias "very well," but recalled an incident during one of the trips, when Arias got out of the car to take pictures and Alexander drove forward as a joke, preventing her from getting back into the car. Freeman said this upset Arias, but Alexander's reaction toward Arias was "over the top." She could not remember exactly what was said."

From Daniel Freeman; "He recalled one incident, when Aria packed too many items in her backpack before a hiking trip, and Alexander became angry with her. Freeman testified that Alexander raised his voice, Arias ran upstairs crying and they continued to argue."

Do you want me to keep going? I mean, all this praise flying around everywhere and all.

Yes, that is what I recall too. Immediate being within seconds.
BTW, have any of you ever watched the T.V. show Bones? I know it's just t.v., but often they look at a skull to see if there are blood stains on it. This shows (in head wounds) if the trauma was inflicted pre or postmortem.

I remember the ME saying there were no signs of hemorrhaging (bleeding) in the skull from the bullet. Meaning of course that the gun shot would came AFTER the heart stopped beating. This combined with the casing setting on the pool of blood is what made the prosecutor believe that the gun shot came last.

Just to be clear...Daniel said that he removed the items from Jodi's backpack. Jodi saw her items removed and SHE became angry. Then words were said, she went upstairs, he followed, etc.

"alexanders reaction was over the top"
That's the only part that's of importance to me.

ETA: I mean, if he became angry and his reaction over another incident was "over the top", what was his reaction when they went upstairs behind closed doors?

This ...... I truly think this is what happened?

She was also only 14. Daniel's sister is so timid and Mormon that she would think someone jumping out and saying BOO too loud was OVER THE TOP.

Daniel also said that T and J were a NORMAL COUPLE.

You talk about me only wanting to see the good of T... You only want to demonize him. Or did you forget that Daniel said that??? Daniel said they had a NORMAL relationship. Maybe you should re-watch his testimony when the prosecution is asking him questions and having him elaborate.

Travis wasn't a saint.. he was a pig. You just want to make sure we all realize he wasn't a saint. No one on here ever said he was. The only thing you don't like is that we defend him and not Jodi. TOUGH. She had far more sexual street smarts than he did and he's the one 6 feet under. I would never defend her.

Considering my BFF was stabbed as many times as T and had her throat slashed might color my vision in this case, I don't give a shit. Go pick on someone else's post. I have my own reasons for being interested in this case. I saw my BFF in her coffin after they sliced her to ribbons. I listened in court to the things they said. She was killed because she helped a homeless friend and the friend's boyfriend stole from her and she told the friend not to bring him back in the house. The friend, the boyfriend and two others broke into her house in the middle of the night, sliced her to shreds, slit her adopted daughter's throat and stuffed a rag in her congested babies throat. So screw you. No one deserves to die like that and then be sliced over again and again in court. NO ONE.
