I'm friends with a lot of girls who dated him. No one of them has ever said that he treated them like shit in fact everyone of them still think very highly of him. Did he treat Jodi bad? Sounds like it. But she doesn't sound like the perfect girlfriend either. I think they were toxic together. He wasn't a shitty person. He didn't deserve to die especially in the way that he did. She chose to drive to him and kill him. She chose to come to his house to have sex. I call bullshit on the abuse or mental mind games. I think they both were using each other

I agree. I have said this before, but it just seems like they were in a toxic relationship. Lots and lots and lots of people have experienced this kind of relationship and come out alive.

Even I want to defend the victim, but the fact that Travis was a shitty person is evident, imo. Did he deserve to die? Hell no, and I've said that a million times, but to put him on a pedestal of being the upstanding Mormon that he would have everyone to believe is just bullshit. If he were here to defend himself there would be nothing to defend. If you play with fire you get burnt. Apparently he knew what he was playing with because he mentioned his fear of her, yet he kept dicking her down. Not only that, it doesn't appear that he was every faithful to anyone. What I'm irritated about it that some are bitching because Travis' dirty laundry is being aired, but it's ok for Jodi's to be aired. No, it don't work that way in the justice system.

Welcome! How did you hear about that? Yeah, I'm not a fan of his. Seeing how he said he'd lie for Jodie. Who says that? The judge needs to be like GTFO when he takes the stand.

I think Travis was probably a pretty okay dude. The only person he was probably ever shitty to was Jodi. Jodi seems like an emotional, clingy, crazy chick.

Having never met Travis, I can't declare that he was a "shitty person". Judging from what I know about him, I probably would not have wanted to be friends with him as he seemed to focus too much on money, power and prestige, and that turns me off. He also seemed like a bit of a player with the ladies. However, I have known people like this, who I did not particularly care for, but who I would not classify as "shitty people". These same people could be very generous, devote time to charities or helping others, etc. He obviously had a lot of friends and family who loved him very much. It is hubristic to declare that someone you've never met and know very little about is a "shitty person".

I'll admit that it bothers me that his dirty laundry is being aired. He is the victim here. He can't defend himself or show his side of things. What was done to him was just so horrific. It seems really wrong that he is getting vilified on top of what has already been done to him.

I know that is the way things work in court cases...they often attack the victim to try to justify why the victim was attacked or murdered or raped or whatever. It just really ticks me off.
