"Travis met the Freeman family through working with Daniel Freeman. He introduced Jodi to the whole family while they were dating. Jodi became very close with the Freemans independent of Travis and would often spend time at their home while she was living here in AZ. After the murder, they gave her a place to stay when she came back to AZ for the memorial. Even though the Freemans have known Travis for a long time, they have always seemed to back Jodi. Personally I believe it is because Daniel wanted to pursue Jodi but I don't have any firm evidence of that. Either way, it is true that they have written her and visited her several times while she has been in jail."
