I think religious jurors could actually help the prosecution. There is the whole "thou shalt not murder" thing, you know. I think religious conservatives also usually favor tough punishments for criminals, too.

What I think would most harm the prosecution is if the jurors just can't fathom how anyone, especially a woman, could do something so brutal. There is a funny (but kind of disturbing) example in one of the Ann Rule books, where a female juror was hesitant to convict someone of murder because she just couldn't understand how anyone could do something like that. Finally, she realized she was thinking like herself (I couldn't do that!), and not like a murderer. That's what worries me, with jurors- I'm afraid they can't see past their own viewpoint and understand that some people are bad and evil and stuff.

And some Calvinist sects/denominations, which are big out West, are very misogynistic in their views that women aren't at fault for any evils...any sins/shortcomings of women are caused not by their actions, but by the men in their lives who should be leading/controlling "their women" through a life of righteousness.
As someone who has a bit of experience with such beliefs, I have to respectfully disagree. In sects like that, women are often blamed for everything. If a man goes off track or there is strife in the family, it is usually the woman's fault for not submitting, being selfish, trying to control her man, daring to have an opinion, etc.

This is showing on Jodi's case history for today:

1/31/2013 CAO - Court Of Appeals Order 1/31/2013
NOTE: DECLINING JURISDICTION OF SPECIAL ACTION PETITION/STAY

Does anyone know what this means?

That has been a question that plagues me every time my friend and I play the game of "Who will be in our Lifetime movie?" I have everyone else but me.

Ron says I remind him of a girl named Iliza Shlesinger, but she doesn't have a gross enough picture on google images that represents me. So she would have to get all done up like Charlize Theron in "Monster."

I'm guessing Jodi isn't expecting to cry today. Her hair is parted on the other side. It won't block her face

I bet Jodi doesn't think there is such a thing as a "jury of her peers". I think she thinks she is smarter than everyone.. just like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory.

I think Dan has been reading FB or been talking to someone who has. On the Memory of Travis FB someone yesterday asked "Ok the last witness today, didn't he state he was on his mission from 2006-2008? How then was he on the Havasupai trip in Sept 2007?"

His room said this "Aaron Dewey - Daniel mistated the dates of his mission. He knew Travis before his mission, and then served from 2004-2006. Dan came to live with Travis and me in Travis' home shortly after he returned from his mission. He and his sister Desiree were in fact on the trip to Havasupai in 2007. I was supposed to go with them but couldn't get the time off work. There are lots of pictures from that trip, including some that have been shown on the photo strips that the media has been using. Ironically though, this is the first time I ever heard anyone mention these alleged angry outbursts from the trip. Neither Travis, Jodi, Dan, nor Desiree ever said anything about it back when it happened so it must not have been that big of a deal at the time."

The color of Nurmi's suit reminds me of Pee Wee Herman.

I was driving home yesterday when this dude was on the stand so I only got to hear his voice. Face matches the voice. Dinner around this family's table has to be absolutely riveting...

He's trying to prove that Travis was lying about his worthiness of being able to baptize her
