I think seeing his mouth and eyes open make it so much worse for them. It's one thing to see the wound (horrible) but to see his features, just so incredibly sad - remember how we felt about seeing his eyelashes in the other neck photo?

my heart literally breaks for his family. My brother was all in one piece when he passed away and it was the worst thing I've ever gone through seeing him in his casket. Seeing their brother butchered? UGH. Literally, my arms, hands chest goes numb. I feel so so badly for them.

I've watched a LOT of forensic shows and true crime shows and if I recall, generally, if you shoot someone in the back (or stab them in the back) they were retreating and self-defense wasn't justified. So, in light of that, how do you square that stabbing someone in the back, in the heart and slashing their throat to that extent was self-defense? I understand there's some defense strategerie involved with the self-defense claim, but JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!!!
