The two victims were killed with a .25 caliber handgun in their rented bungalow located at 2929 (now 2947) N. 2nd Street. According to prosecutors, after the two women were murdered, Judd and an accomplice dismembered the body of Samuelson and stuffed the head, torso, and lower legs into a black shipping trunk, with the upper legs being placed in a beige valise and hatbox. LeRoi's body was stuffed intact into a second black shipping trunk.[3]

Hi all...newbie here myself, thought I'd jump in. I've read 90% and feel I'm up to date. Not sure if I'm doing this correct, but here goes. I just looked up the fuel capacity for a Ford Focus, and one site said 14 gallons and another said 13.5 gallons. That being said, I'm confused as to why she purchase 10.6 gallons of gas at 3:57am, then 8 minutes later, she purchased another 9.58 gallons? The tank in the rental car could not possibly hold all this gas. Factor in the 5 gallon kerosene can she had, still leaves a gallon unaccounted for. Hmmmmmm.

Do children kill their parents with knives then shoot them? I think Jodi acted alone, but I don't think it happened the way the experts say it did. That's just my opinion. The medical examiner is an expert in his field, that's not an argument, but he is human. He, just like everyone else on the planet, makes mistakes. Detective Flores is an expert in his field and he's been called out on a huge mistake in court. These people are human. It happens. People here have presented very valid ideas and just because the ME said something different, or the detective said something different doesn't make other possibilities invalid.

Is there any possibility that the water running in the shower could have washed away whatever hemorrhaging occurred in his brain?

I mean, the whole thing went down pretty quickly. So say for the sake of argument that she did shoot him first. Maybe there was only minimal hemorrhaging in his brain because she sliced his throat within a minute or two afterward, thus cutting off the blood supply to that area. Is it possible that the shower was able to wash away whatever blood WAS there?

Just a thought. I do agree the whole thing would be easier for most people to believe if she shot him first.

I also buy that she could have completely caught him off guard and stabbed him in the chest while he was in the shower, though...

I have a thought about the inverted license plate. This was a rental car. It wouldn't make sense to remove it and invert it as it would simply attract attention. I theorize that she created a counterfeit plate that matched Mimi's plate. Matching hair, matching car, matching plate, etc. If anyone saw her at his house, they might report a brunette in a white Focus, tag number xxxxx, and this information would point to Mimi. I think she was simply in a hurry wherever she dumped the evidence and in her haste she replaced the rental car license plate upside down.
