The good part at least is that people seem to be on the up and up with the youtube videos coming out right away. Will miss our chats though

Small off topic side story. I worked construction up until 2008 when the economy took a shit and I used to get sooooo pissed because I would have to catch up on all the good stuff at night. I feels your pains.

ETA: construction = not able to check MDS until after work which = angry

I finish at 5:30pm which is what time the trial starts here. It's only a 20 minute walk home. By the time I get some food and with the piss poor time keeping skills of the court, I shouldn't miss much. We can still chat!

I applied to college there back when I had no clue WTF I was doing and got accepted but I was so far up my ass that I stayed and went to the local university of Wisco (Parkside aka Darkside). AAAAND they have that kick ass forensic center. OOOOOH to turn back time.

I told Eric I don't care if we have to live in a little shit trailer from 1972 hanging off the side of mountain, I WILL LIVE THERE SOME DAY.

Ooh, the Bill Bass place? I would love to get a chance to go to the Body Farm. My Aunt and Uncle moved down there to Severeville (sp?) and it was beautiful. Houses weren't too expensive and the scenery is gorgeous. Drake's cousins husband works for the medical examiner down in Tennessee. Lucky.

UT has the Body Farm. Can you imagine visiting there?

Yes!! The body farm. That's what it is! I can't remember if it was on the ID channel or OWN or something, they had a special on it. Sooo interesting.

Sevierville is where Dollywood is. I would take Sevierville or Pigeon Forge, still in the middle of the madness but you can get off the beaten path easily enough.

I love it there Now I want to go.

In Session had someone on discussing second degree murder/heat of passion killings and the Arizona law regarding them.

He thinks that's where the defense is ultimately going. He kind of explained the "self defense" connection to this but I was on a conference call so I couldn't listen to the whole thing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her convicted of second degree murder instead. If they had found the gun and could prove it was her grandparents, it would've gone a really long way in proving first degree.

I have been facinated with the Body Farm for years, I'm very weird. Seeing Dr Vass testify in the Casey Anthony trial made me want to visit, not stay away!

PHOENIX - It's a trial that is being broadcast live across the nation -- dissected and debated on a nightly basis. The murder trial of Jodi Arias is riddled with sex, violence and deceit.

Jodi herself is seen by many as a cold blooded killer. But we're giving you an exclusive look behind bars -- where Jodi is defined in a very different way.

She personally gave us a look into her interests, and let the women she's lived with in jail for the past four years tell part of her story.

For the past two weeks, Jodi Arias has been defined in court by prosecutors. They have laid out the gruesome details of the killing of Jodi's former boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in his Mesa home.

They've shown Jodi lying to police on interrogation video.

They have shown pornographic pictures of her in open court. They're working as hard as they can to send her to death row.

Through contacts, I was able to gain access to Estrella Jail where Jodi is housed, and to her cell. She didn't know I was coming, and at first, she wasn't happy to see me at all. But she eventually warmed up a bit.

We spoke together for quite some time.

Because of her impending case, and the advice of her attorneys, she didn't want to appear on camera. I agreed, and I promised her not to reveal some of the things we talked about.

But I also told her I was going to show our viewers how she is living.

While in jail, something interesting happened. All of Jodi's pod mates held up handwritten notes they created on the spot that read "Free Jodi."

They stood in a line of solidarity, and I soon learned that these troubled women were circling their wagons around a friend -- maybe in these circumstances -- more of a surrogate family member.

"She comes in here with a smile on her face. But I know she's hurting inside. But she can't show that to us because if she comes in here hurting, we're all going to be what's wrong. And she'd have to talk about it. And tell you what, if I was on trial for two weeks I wouldn't want to talk about it. I'd put on a fake smile and tell everybody I was perfectly fine. But she's not, she's hurting inside and there's nothing she can do about that," said Jenna Bounds, Jodi Arias' podmate.

Because of the nature of her charges, Jodi is being kept in one of the higher security units here, where detention officers can keep a close watch on her.

"She may feel she has nothing to lose, so we just keep an eye on all of ?em," a detention officer told me.

Jodi told me one of the ways she occupies herself in jail is with her art. She showed me some of her drawings and paintings, landscapes and portraits.

But maybe some of the most vivid portraits were of Jodi herself, and they were created inside these concrete walls by those who say they now know her best.

"She has the biggest heart in the world. A lot of people don't think it, but she does, she has an incredible heart."

"She really needs your prayers right now. She would do anything to help us girls in here and we just love her very much," says Sara Wardana.

"The roles could be reversed, in Jodi's case, you know. He could be the one on trial for her. You know what I mean? It could be reversed. People don't even think about that. That she is here because she was protecting herself," says Bounds.

That's an argument Jodi is betting her life on.

The defense begins its case in front of the jury on the 29th.
I SAW THAT STORY LAST NIGHT ON BOTH THE 9 AND 10 NEWS ON CHANNEL 10 (I left it on channel 10 just to see if they ran it again) HERE IN PHOENIX AND WAS APPALLED!! I COULD NOT BELIVE MY EARS/EYES THAT THEY WOULD DO THAT. THE PHONE NUMBER AT FOX NEWS MAIN LINE IS: (602) 257-1234; A REAL PERSON ANSWERED AND I WAS TRANSFERRED TO A COMPLAINT LINE, MAYBE IF THEY GET ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THEY WILL RUN A MORE HONEST FOLLOW UP ON THE TRUE CHARACTER OF JODI.

I HOPE YOU WILL ALL TAKE THE TIME TO CALL OR AT LEAST COMMENT AT THE END OF THE ABOVE ARTICLE! IF ONE JUROR ACCIDENTLY SAW THAT, IT COULD MEAN SHE WALKS!!

keep posting the number so everyone gets it!!!

The book about the Body Farm is excellent. I wanted to go to Dollywood for my 30th but that didn't happen.

Part of the road (Newfound Gap) I would have to use to travel up there washed out with all of the heavy storms we've been having.

Oh man, that Great White concert fire video is pretty rough. Not like grody dead bodies rough, but just seeing all those people struggle for their lives. That's pretty gut wrenching. I'm with you, definitely checking every single fire escape now wherever I am.

I read the Patricia Cornwell book, The Body Farm. Is there an actual book about it?

I think the Nick Berg video was the first hint to the morbid curiosity that I have. I think watching it wasn't nearly as bad as hearing it.
