Hahahaha, I knew it was going to be that heinous pastel/southwestern theme as soon as I read "90's." We were watching Big last week and I was commented on how everything in his grown up girlfriends house was white and pastel with pueblos and cacti. I was then reminded that was pretty much everyone's house in that time period. I think I blocked it out because of how terrible it was.

I appreciate all of the answers! It would make sense for boys not to do their laundry on the regular. Or maybe one tried but just noticed a load in there and didn't want to mess with it. I keep forgetting that these people weren't that good of friends with him.

I was wondering that too when I was looking through the house pictures. Maybe he experimented with it in the laundry room because if it he fucked it up or it turned out bad, it would just be the laundry room so it wasn't a big deal. Also, do we even know if Travis bought the house brand new? His bathroom paint (without blood all over the walls) depressed me.

Speaking of the house pictures, where is the infamous doggie door that Jodi would sneak in to sleep on his couch? The kitchen had sliding glass doors. I assume there was a door from the garage, but I don't remember seeing it.

I don't think so because apparently blood on the washer/dryer is what clued the investigators in to look in there. I would think the roomies would notice, but then again, they didn't notice the smell of a dead body in the house for 5 days.

grandma brought home the new enquirer yesterday. lol. it said that her only chance is to sway public opinion by trying to manipulate the enquirer with fraudulent letters. they told a story of how travis wanted to rip a pair of boy undies off of her, how he made her wear a shirt with his engraved cuff-links while giving him a bj so he could look at his initials during the act, how he hit her in the face and how he had a 'fascination with young boys'.

also, apparently there are letters she's holding onto that she only has electronically because she destroyed the originals.

    news reporting at it's finest.

I get that if you never smelled it before you wouldn't know what to associate that with, but I would start questioning the source of it.

Edit: I'm thinking there is one downstairs and one upstairs? How many rooms does it have? Maybe the upstairs one was unoccupied and the roommates were both downstairs.

That loft area is just huge and unnecessary.

Also, is there significance with the Greek symbol on the address marker on the house? Is that some Mormon ward thing?
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs including the master. One down (the office/den) a full bath upstairs as well as one downstairs. Only one set of stairs. You have to walk by Travis's door to get anywhere upstairs (all bedrooms and bathroom & loft)
The shared wall is the wall to the very left of the Master bedroom behind the double door. Its somewhat "away" from the bathroom area. Again I say somewhat..
The roommates all had upstairs bedrooms.
And I also thought that was some greek symbol, possibly like frat. Then I realized it was the KB homes logo type thing :(

I don't know. But there are doggie doors that you can install into sliding glass doors, like this:

Then you just remove it when you don't need it anymore.

Or maybe there was a door in the laundry room...?

Yes... I was digging everywhere to find out who the builder was but couldn't. I even downloaded the plat maps for the development from the County Assessor's website, but it still didn't list a builder (just an architectural company and an investment company).

Kinda makes me wonder if it was originally a small one-off builder that bit the dust when the real estate market crashed. KB Homes bought up a ton of those and finished the developments.

By the way--from the bought/sold history on his home, it does look like Travis had bought it brand new.

I'm still weirded out that my old co-worker lives next door. I'm dying to pick his brain but I don't know his family well enough to just call or anything...

The problem is that Travis isn't alive to explain the context of that message. He might have been eating a grapefruit, and juice from that grapefruit squirted and "hit her in the face." Or more likely, it could have been sexual and that during sex he ejaculated and he "hit her in the face." There is no context, just like there is no context on the "Travis Alexander's" tee-shirt photo. I read that several of those shirts were made, and that the back of that shirt says "Being Better Blog." Without context, we don't know. I'm shocked that the prosecution doesn't seek to preclude this stuff as hearsay.
I agree about the text about hitting her in the face. I guarantee it was something sexual.

That is slightly South West of me, but pretty close!
Oh my god I feel like I'm looking at pictures of my houses growing up. But I guess that could be anyone growing up in Phoenix.

Just make sure you don't start click on the other post on there. You will be on that site for hours. I was amazed at the amount of houses that were destroyed by people getting all the cooper out of the house.
