Good liars freak me out. I know a lot of people here think she's a bad liar, but just watch that 48 Hours episode and imagine not knowing anything about her or the case. That is how I was intorduced to this case. At the beginning of the show, I thought that she couldn't have done it. I could not imagine this soft spoken, articulate woman going on national TV, confidently proclaiming her innocence so calmly if she was guilty. Then as the episode rolls on, it becomes more and more obvious that she's guilty. I find that really, really freaky because normally, I have a pretty good read on people.

Agree - she's just so calm and relaxed as she lies. No fear in her eyes, nothing. Just lies. And well thought out, mostly. She does hesitate a lot though, and that would make me not believe if I had never heard the story before watching the 48 Hrs episode (which I watched today for the first time). I wonder what a lies expert would make of her - someone who was trained to read the facial expressions/voice changes that people make when the truth is NOT coming our of their mouths.

I started following this forum after a deception expert talked about Morgan Ingram on her blog, and this forum was the only active conversation online. She has also posted about Jodi a lot. She says she saw it from the beginning. I'll see if I can drag up some of the posts for you.

That was my introduction to it, too. But I think a decent amount of that was the show and editing. Think about the interviews you've been seeing in court. If you saw her speak like that, on the fly, you probably wouldn't have given her so much leeway. I guess the few minutes that I felt sorry for her disappeared so quickly that I never felt had by her. Once the "two other individuals" were discussed, I smelled her stink and my mind was made up.

I do think she is articulate. What creeps me out is how cool she is. It's eerie.

It's not really emotional manipulation if he was documented repeatedly telling her they had no future together and that she sucked. Most guys I know, honestly, still fuck the crazy ones they don't want because hey, they want to fuck.

Yeah. I sure don't see the judge ordering a directed verdict. The judge would have to order a verdict that no reasonable jury could reach to the contrary. I don't see that happening, but boy would it be a shocker.

But he told her that, too, and she still came back for dick. I think it's kind of a double standard to act like men are the only people who purely pursue something for pussssssy. According to the defense - from what I could tell - on the grounds that the first degree felony charge should be thrown out (because the burglary charge is bogus), and once that gets thrown out it only leaves first degree via premeditation, and the prosecution failed to prove premeditation.
