I don't know what items were in the dryer, and I don't think they specified when they had the fingerprint lady pull out everything and go through it. There was a tshirt and shorts of Travis's, so I just assumed Travis did those earlier. I don't think Jodi had enough time to do a load, wait for it to finish, throw it in the dryer, and then do another load with the camera. Unless she started the first one and killed him while waiting for it to finish. To be a fly on that wall that day...

I was in a terrible relationship where even though I knew things were fucked, I stayed with the dude. Even though towards the end he kept me private from his friends and it was just basically fuck buddies. My crazy just didn't let me think what I knew to be true. As long as he kept taking me back, things were FINE. I would actively work to get over him, then he'd be reeling me back in. He didn't want me, but he loved the attention. He loved that he could treat me like shit and still have me swooning all over him. He did awful things, but as long as he took me back, it was ok. I could ignore those things. As soon I found out he was fucking like six different internet whores I went "crazy" as far as confronting him. Too much texting, name calling, telling his friends what a piece he was. Trying to tell the other girls how awful he was. Had to face reality and then I broke.
I definitely wouldn't have hurt him, though, and fuck if I wanted to be attached to him forever. When you have intense abandonment issues, though, you will do pretty much anything to avoid the feeling. I actually filed a report to the police on some of the stuff he did to me, but he had all my texts making me look "crazy" so there was little that could be done. They asked me if I was filing the report just to get back at him. Fuck no. I needed to finally stand up for myself and put everything behind me.

I have a terrible anxiety disorder and I'd be shaking visibly, as if I were standing in sub zero temps with no clothes on. They would prob think I was guilty before I ever opened my mouth. But I get the same way meeting new people or going to the Dr.
I really do relate to what Jodi was going through, even though I think she's guilty of premeditated murder. When I was 30 I had just gotten divorced from the man I thought I would be with forever - after 8 years of marriage and finding out that he'd been cheating for at least 5 of those years. I was in a really bad place in terms of self esteem and insecurity, desperation, depression.
Then I met a kid - still in college, 21 years old - over the internet. (AOL chat rooms at the time, hahahahaha...) Anyway, he lived about 150 miles away but I often did business trips to the area where he was in college. We met in person and then things took off from there. Monthly booty calls, meals, extras paid for when I was in town and then I would disappear again so he could resume his "real life." He was totally using me from the start. He was in love with someone else and I knew it. I saw a letter he'd written to her (while supposedly "exclusive" with me) and it ripped my heart out. The more aloof he was, the more desperate I became. I vowed to make him forget about her.
Long story short, he ended up moving to where I was, living with me, living OFF me and I let things continue because I was so desperate for him to finally get over his "lost love" and love me the same way. I bailed him out of jail (he was caught stealing from an employer, although he denied denied denied), I bought him everything, I did everything for him. So pathetic. I was still traveling for business fairly often so he'd have the apartment to himself for 4-5 days at a time. I caught him carrying on (just talking on the phone as far as I knew then) with a girl he'd met since moving in with me. I confronted him, he denied anything was going on, and we moved on. Then, one day, I found out he'd called an escort service...he denied denied denied but I had finally had it and kicked him out. I thought I would die, after all I had done for him...seriously, I was so sick I must have thought I owned him at that point, how could he do this to ME???!!! He moved in with a friend down the road and I was still obsessed with him...what he was doing, who he was seeing, was he sorry, did he still want me...
I was so beaten down by what happened in my marriage, I was really ill. I never once thought about hurting him - I didn't even wish bad things for him - I just wanted to hurt myself. I wanted to be free of all of it.
Thankfully, I turned all that pain into motivation to change my life. I moved 1000 miles away (and yes of course, by that point he'd decided he wanted me again and started stalking me...leaving notes on my car, threatening suicide, begging me not to move...and then when I did move, he called nonstop, said he was going to move out there to be with me and then called the police when I stopped answering his calls altogether because he thought I was missing!).
TL;DR - Toxic relationships can REALLY fuck you up!

Agreed! Something in Jodi blew past the normal person stop mechanism and just went completely to crazy land. Has she been evaluated by a mental health specialist? I'm guessing so and I just missed it. What'd they find out or are they keeping it under wraps?
Thank you! I hope the same for you. Things are better now and I am a much more emphatic person. I know what to look out for and when I need to back off. Abandonment and trust issues are always there, but I have ways to cope.
I don't think Jodi had ways to cope or the ability to stop herself. I think she is an ill person.
From what Beth Karas has said (love that chick) Jodi has been evaluated by both defense and prosecution psychiatrists/psychologists, but their findings have not come out yet. I imagine we'll hear from them during the trial...

I find it a little odd that her hair is braided. Almost all of the pitures I have seen of her, here hair is down. I am wondering if she braided her hair thinking it couldnt be pulled out etc...
This all went down 18 years ago...I took some time off from men after I moved and finally (begrudgingly) allowed my friend to set me up with her husband's best friend...we got married 3 years later and have two boys now and I can't imagine a more perfect outcome for my life. I'm giving my everything to raising these two boys to respect how delicate some people's feelings can be...they are not be played with!

I just can't get over how bad Jodi's defense is. I just feel like if they're going to come right out and admit she did it, they would've been better off with a heat of passion defense. I've had thoughts of killing a guy when I found out he was cheating, not sure if that's normal or not

So no one really thinks she went there intent on killing him either way? Just that she snapped when she didn't win him over? I think she was going to kill him no matter what. She just wanted to be the last fuck, like a trophy. No one else would do him ever again, she would have his last. I think thats what all those pictures were about, and there might be some truth to him not being thrilled about them that day. maybe he did get angry about the camera, but it wasnt because she dropped it. I wish I knew more about where the knife came from, but I think she planned on shooting him, then got ahold of the knife somehow. Thats where her rage screwed things up. I don't think she planned on there being such a mess.
Oh I've definitely been in a rage when confronted with evidence of cheating. Like a blind, seeing red rage. But the different between us and a sociopath like Jodi is we don't act on it!! Honestly, looking at these video confessions of her "stories" and all the evidence, she should be going for an insanity plea. I bet she'd get that.

On Nancy Grace last night a caller asked what kind of sentence Jodi would get if this is somehow deemed to be self defense and Nancy said that would be considered an acquittal (which I guess is obvious). I can't help but wonder if after all of Jodi's stories, she felt like her ONLY chance at freedom was by claiming this was self defense. All of the evidence puts her at the scene and proves her involvement, so she figured she'd give it a shot, cause what is there to lose at this point?
