Jodi Ann Arias shot and stabbed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander to death

The ME said the very first wound TA suffered was fatal. It was only sooner or later from there. I guess at Travis lasted less than two minutes after that. The first strike went through ribs and cartridge and had to have been inflicted with tremendous force and fury. Horrible. He never knew what hit him.

Actually, they don't know exactly what the first wound was, just that he was stabbed first because he had defensive wounds on his hand, so he was moving around and trying to defend himself. The neck wound and the gun shot both would have been incapacitating and he would only have lived for seconds after either one of those. So he was stabbed first, but they don't know the exact order of every stab wound.

I believe the ME said that only the chest/heart wound would have resulted in Travis ending up bending over his sink spitting blood from his nose/mouth. If that was not the first stab wound I suspect the much heavier and larger Travis would have overpowered JA. He must have been in immediate shock from the unexpectedness of a stab through his chest into his heart area.

I believe they showed a naked photo of her taken the day of the murder, right? I'm mostly interested because I want to see the color of her hair at the time, but I also want to find something else about her to make fun of. Y'know, win-win and all that.

Yes the chest wound to the heart was the only one that would have been fatal eventually, but there's really no telling which stab wound was "the very first".

Something else interesting about the wounds is, they asked (the ME? I think) if there were any hesitation marks around the cut to the throat, and there were not. So she did not hesitate at all to cut his throat from ear to ear.

Well, the thing is, he may be a big guy but he probably wasn't expecting to be blitzed, plus he was all naked and vulnerable, and she was crazed. Moms do crazy shit all the time that defies science just because they get an emotional overload, like lift cars to save their kids.

This. With his unexpected reaction plus her murderous rage, that first stab to the heart was enough to throw him off kilter and already leave him incapacitated. They said at this time is when he stumbled towards the sink and leaned over, which left his back wide open to be stabbed almost 30 times. He at least had some fight in him since there was self defense cuts on his hands.

So here is my issue with her "self defense." Last time I checked, I don't keep sharp cutlery in my bathroom. I'm pretty sure I could take a poll that most people don't have a slew of Cutco knives in the medicine cabinet.

Brunette. I believe the said she dyed her hair at some point in the beginning of her 3,000 mile journey in a huge circle across the pacific time zone.

You are correct. However I would suggest that common sense would suggest that anything less than a knock out strke - first, viciously and unexpectedly would not have incapicated TA the way the blood evidence suggests. IMO Nonetheless that poor guy had an absolutely horrific last moments in this life.

Well, they said the guy at the rental car place stated she was blonde, but someone at some point along her road trip said she had brown, so she dyed it along the way.

I didn't see the pictures, so I don't know for sure if she was blonde or not when she killed Travis. She was blonde when she rented the car and she was brunette when she got to Salt Lake, that's all I know.

Ok, so this just hit me since I only had the audio from the opening statements and Day 1. Are they trying to say that a knife was available to Jodi in the bathroom because of the rope fetish that Travis had? I feel like I just had some epiphany because I really didn't know how they were going to explain that.

I'm also wondering if maybe Travis had a thing for brunettes? It seems like what I believe was an ex-girlfriend was as well as the girl he was planning on taking to Cancun. So maybe in some last ditch effort to make herself desirable towards him, Jodi decided to "surprise" him with the darker hair color?
