Well it's because he stated that that was what Dr Horn told him, when in reality it is what he THOUGHT the Doc said. It was his misunderstanding, not the Dr's mind changing. Defense thought they saw an opening, but were shut down when the prosecutor came back up and had the detective clarify that it was HIS opinion/misunderstanding, and he is not a medical professional

I see something different every time I look at those (for instance I had not noticed the cup beside his body before) so yeah. Are you talking about the vertical indentation nearest the middle of his lower neck/upper back? I thought that was probably just bunching of skin caused by how they have him turned for this photo but now it almost looks like a scar - a definite indentation. His upper body didn't seem to be resting against anything that low in the shower.

I think we are looking at the same thing. I couldn't tell if there was a ledge or wall his body could be resting against. It could definitely cause the pitting if there was. You make a great observation that it can be a bunching of the skin. However, I don't think it is caused from the ME staff moving the body for pics. Our skin is no longer elastic once we've been dead for so long. The bunching of the skin could have occurred from the position he was left in, as in, it bunched up at that time and was in it's "resting place." I have no idea if I am explaining this to be understood. I keep re-reading it and I can't think of anything, right now, to explain it better.

From what I understand it is definitely placing her at the scene. Yep, her hair was in his blood. So maybe he grabbed at her hair in an attempt to fight back? Usually hair has to be pulled out physically to have the root attached although I'm sure it can fall out on it's own with a smaller root.

Could double jeopardy apply? I'm not well versed in legal stuff so if someone could chime in. She might end up with a smaller conviction?

I know in the Channon Christian case there was a mistrial because the Judge was all fucked up during the initial hearing. I'll have to see if anything has changed because of the mistrial.


edit: So is he trying to argue so she will get life instead of the death penalty? He's making it seem like the Detective was some evil villain doing this shit on purpose. Fuck, just dismiss his testimony if that's what you have to do instead of a mistrial. Everyone else gave pretty significant information showing her guilt.
