No, it doesn't. It just means that unfortunately they have to rely on LE to find their missing child, and not fully cooperating with them will make them run to the media and blab about how uncooperative they are. I've never been in this situation but I do understand that the police are searching for anyone who could've taken their baby, and anyone who acts out of the norm should be expecting a million fingers pointed back at them. That's just the way it works. I didn't say it was right.

Yeah, I mean, I have seen cases like this where the cops waste a lot of energy by not expanding their search. They need Psychic Lady Cleo to weigh in.

I had a lovely daytime black out in the middle of downtown off of a space-bag (boxed wine) where I was told I rolled around on the sidewalk wrestling with some friends dogs, then rummaged through someone's backpack yelling, "this is a scam".
Things I would NEVER EVER do in my wildest dreams! (I only have a partial flash of going through the backpack, thinking it was mine.) Good enough reason why I stopped drinking.
I wish they would have let the boys be interviewed again. Anything to help bring some light to this case.

Interviewing kids is always realllly iffy. Because people will coerce and intimidate children. It's insanely difficult to get an honest version of events from them, no matter how good the intentions.

I would say borderline impossible. They have a childlike perception number one. They are easily confused number two, and they will often say what the adult wants to hear number three. I would hate to be in the position of a child having to back up my story.
I can recall seeing a story on some true crime TV show (like 48 Hours or something) a case where a kid accused an uncle of killing someone (my memory is really vague on the details) and the uncle was convicted basically on the kid's eyewitness testimony. Then years later, he was released from prison because the DNA didn't match. The person who did the murder was a totally different person, who was caught, tried and convicted. The kid made a mistake.

If you say to a kid, 'Did you see the guy who stabbed the other guy' there's a 50% chance they'll just make an answer up, either to make you happy or to like, just play a game. And then you'll say "was it that guy?" and they'll shake their heads then nod then shake their heads, then giggle. I mean, kids are horrible at answering questions.

I used to agree with you, and doubt that people really blacked out, until I did once. One New Year's eve I was at a friend's house, and I blame the shot of real absinthe I had, because I did not drink very much before I blacked out, in comparison to many others times I've drank without blacking out. It was scary as shit when I put together that I seriously could not remember what happened. The next day started out with hearing that I was laying on the floor giggling the night before, which I did not remember, and didn't believe. I accused the guy who said that of being the really drunk one who imagined that. Then I had a facebook friend request later that day with a message saying "let me know when we are going out for girl's night! you rock!" from a girl that I couldn't stand previously. Apparently, I made friends with her during my blackout. That was when it really clued in to me that I was missing a huge chunk of the night. I found out I also sang while we played rockband (which I would not have done normally in front of that group of people). I don't remember coming home, but apparently I also started giving my husband a blow job as soon as we walked in the door, and then ended up crying and saying I didn't want to have sex because I was too drunk and the room was spinning. I don't remember the blow job part, but do vaguely remember the crying about sex. My husband was obviously very puzzled by my weird behaviour, especially because he has seen my very drunk many times before and I never acted like that. I am just glad that I was at a friend's house the entire time, and that my husband was with me, because it really freaked me out that I couldn't remember about 4 or 5 hours worth of the night.
I still think a lot of people pretend that they blacked out because they are embarrassed, and that it doesn't happen nearly as often as some people would have you believe.
