ok

Just wondering why was SOAD banned and not this fuck?

If MC reads this I am not whining... just really don't get it.
I didn't ban SOAD, Mike did. And I told you guys I am not banning anyone any more. I meant it. You want "First Ammendment Rights" you guys got em. Remember how you all complined about those rights? Hmmmmm???

Mike can do what he likes and decides. Not my site.
I didn't say you banned him. I am saying, not whinig, what this guy did is worse. I don't actually care if he gets banned or not. I care that SOAD did and this guy has said worse.

I didn't complain about 1st ammendmet rights. I said I don't like all the deleting....

Why are picking on me about this??

She's not picking on you, but making a general statement with your quote in it. We've been getting a lot of shit lately from people wanting to say how they feel cause of their rights since we're apparently preventing people from voicing their opinion. We're extending it to everyone now. Say what you want; we're not stopping it cause we'd hate to impose on everyone's rights to freedom of speech. And really, we haven't done as much deleting as people seem to think.  :|

My problem is this: Soad was banned. I don't give a shit about not deleting posts, etc. I just do not get why some people are banned for lesser offenses. It has nothing to do with 1st ammendment rights .... I am just unhappy SOAD is gone.

But why have mods. If they don't mod?? Everyone in a position of "power" gets flack.

I just don't get it. Oh well. I am done with the subject and will move on.

Not my site and how it's run doesn't matter. I can leave.

Well, I've read all of the comments said on here about Kyle; (R.I.P. Kyle), and i don't know what i could say that's much different than what everyone else has said. His fight really touched me and has made me evaluate my own life. I completely understand the discussion about him wanting to live and others that were healthy and took their own lives. Not including suicide, some of us have taken life for granted at some point or another. When you lay down at night and EXPECT to wake up the next day, that's taking life for granted. Life is a blessing, and Kyle embraced his dispite what he was going through. I know there's a Heaven and I believe that God didn't want him to suffer anymore, He loved him most. Again, R.I.P Kyle, and my condolences to his family, friends, and to those of us that were positivly affected by his triuamphant life...

    Was "997" ban'd?* *
no my internet went out last night

my point is ur (mosaic) doing awesome at attention whoring

you go out with a guy u know is dying, then he does and act like ur upset so youll get attention. ive seen this many times
first off, she started dating him when he was in remission for 4 months, which means he didnt have cancer.

i also think it is absurd to say someone would get with someone because of their disability or illness so that they can have attention later on.

the comments used to be right under the death articles on the main page and it would turn REAL ugly.* You could change your user name or you could be anonymous every time you made a post, so everyone spoke whatever they felt like because you basically wouldnt be caught.
heres JUST an example: 997 might change his name to "Good Riddance" or something more harsh towards a death. or something along those lines that would be very uncalled for. and no one would know who it would be.

    next, why was SOAD 'band'?
i completely missed out on this freedom of speech drama.

what worries me is not what's said in the forum, but the fact that people would actually contact people involved in the deceased person's life, or make comments on the myspace of the deceased person or their friends. that goes behind a discussion into territory of meddling with people's emotions over something very real and painful and makes this site seem like a pack of vultures.

Yep...Mike should make it a RULE....just because some of the deaths can touch us doesn't give us the right to contact these people.  It's should be an OFFICIAL no-no!

imagine reading an obituary of someone you don't know in the newspaper and then calling the person's relatives and telling them how sad it makes you. and then a bunch of other random people from all over the place doing the same thing. i mean, what the shit?!

It's seriously a wack job thing to do...these aren't movie deaths; this is real life.
There are lot of people with A LOT of time on their hands here...Watching soap operas would be a great alternative.  They could call their friends and cry on the phone with each other.

Re: Death #555: Kyle Anthony Cooke

    Seriously.

You can't keep them from googling their dead friend's name and stumbling across this site.  BUT I think the fact that both mosaic and CJ were contacted and lured to this site by posters who knew nothing about them until the death was posted by Mike is wildly inappropriate.

I apologize to both mosaic and CJ (even though I know he never checks this thread, and has forgiven us to a certain degree) for the inappropriate actions of others on MDS.  No, there isn't much I can do about it, but I think it was out of line and those who contact family members/friends of the deceased should be punished harshly by Mike in the future if at all possible.

The last thing you want to hear about a dead friend while you're grieving is some of the stupid shit we say.

    Why?

Contacting family members is just WRONG!

I don't understand what is contradicting, maybe I missed something.

I agree 100%.* I know what I did was terrible, thoughtless, and inappropriate.* I take full responsibility for it, I just wasn't thinking.* I feel sick to my stomach when I think of it, and when I think about the fact that I am responsible for causing more grief to someone who is already absolutely devastated by her loss, I am completely mortified by it.* Eventhough that wasn't my intention,* she got hurt because of my ignorance, so in the end it doesn't even matter what my intention was.* Like I said in an earlier post, even if everyone on the boards had been completely supportive of Mosaic and no one said any of those snide remarks, my contacting her was incredibly insensitive and asinine.* I realise that.* I don't have any excuses for it and I sincerely apologise.* I really am sorry y'all.* I wish I could take it back.*
