BWS, I remember you said you really liked Mazzy Star. Do you know this song? This band rotates singers and this song has Hope Sandoval singing on it. I absolutely this song. The Luther series (Idris Elba, British detective show) used it as their theme music.

How did I not know about this song? Thanks for sharing ~ going to put it on my iTunes playlist. I have been in a Lana Del Rey kick as of late.Originally Posted by raisedbywolves

@BWS, don't ask me how, but I missed Mazzy Star in the 90's. Hubby was watching one of their videos about a year ago and I asked him who they were. He was astounded that I didn't know. I have loved that Massive Attack song for over a decade, but didn't realize the Mazzy Star person was the singer until about a month ago.
Also, hey J!
They weren't overly famous back then. Fade Into You was a big hit for them and played regularly on MTV...back when they were focused on music.Originally Posted by raisedbywolves
I don't listen to the radio; we have XM, so I listen mostly to rock and grunge.Originally Posted by Nic B
BWS: okay, that makes sense. We listen to the radio at work, and I will listen to it in my car to and from work. I finally downloaded the app on my phone so I can listen to my favorite morning radio show. I guess I am old school with the radio stuff haha.
@Nic - we haven't listened to a radio station for at least 10-15 years now that I think of it.
I used to love listening to a morning show on the radio. I can't do commercials, so we pay for SiriusXM so we don't have to listen to them.
We have Sirius in the Miata, but I listen to the radio in the other two cars (we always switch off depending on what we are doing that day). I only listen to older rock stations though, so I never hear the new stuff that they put out these days.
@RBW - You have a Miata? I used to have one when I was in undergraduate school. I loved that thing.
This is my baby. 6 speed manual, with a retractable hard top. I love this car! What kind of Miata did you have BWS? And why do you not still have it?
edited because my Miata was shy and didn't want his pic on the internet any longer.

It was a long time ago with my Miata...like in the 1990s. It had a hard, convertible top as well, but I had to remove the top of it and put it in the garage (no retractable tops back then). So mine wasn't as fancy as yours. BTW, yours is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you! We had a T-Top Firebird like that back in the late 90's. You had to take the tops off and store them in the trunk. It wasn't very convenient, so we didn't do it very often.
I think you need another Miata, they're so fun to drive!
