Eminem's mom Debbie Nelson has died following a battle with advanced lung cancer, TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us Debbie passed away due to lung cancer. She died last night in St. Joseph, Missouri. TMZ has confirmed her death with Eminem's rep, Dennis Dennehy.

BWS - I forget not everyone listened to his music...he did a whole song about how shitty his mom was. There is a line in the song where he says "Hailey's getting so big now, you should see her she's beautiful, but you'll never see her, she won't even be at your funeral." If you believe everything he wrote, his mom was horrible to him. Here are snippets (it's a really good song, actually):

@Angie - didn't Kim Basinger play her in the movie? I never saw it, but I vaguely remember hearing about it.
BWS - yes, she played his mom in that movie. I actually enjoyed the movie, but it's been a while since I have seen it.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Nathan, 38, shared a post on his Instagram Stories following the death of his mom Debbie Nelson on Dec. 2 that simply read, “Hatred and mixed emotions today."
Nelson welcomed her youngest son, music producer Nathan, with her boyfriend Fred Samra when Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers III) was 13 years old.

The musician's fight for custody of his brother came amid a tumultuous relationship with mom Nelson, having famously dissed her in some of his earlier songs, including the 2002 track "Cleanin' Out My Closet." which led to Nelson suing her son for $11 million for defamation.
Following his guardianship over the years, Nathan, who is now married with three children, credits his older brother as being “the best role model I could have had.”
It definitely brings out mixed emotions when the monsters in your life die.
