Hunter Slezak (7) missing on boating trip after bodies of his father (40) and father's friend (69) found

A 7-year-old boy is missing and two people have been found dead following a boating trip in Alabama.

The search for Hunter Slezak, 7, has been suspended after two bodies, identified as his father Michael Slezak, 40, and his friend Sam Wooley, 69, were recovered south of Dauphine Island, Ala., on Sunday, Dec. 1.

The 7-year-old had joined his father Michael and his friend on the vessel, the Marty Ann, before it departed the Billy Goat Hole Boat Ramp on Friday, Nov. 29, according to the release.

"Friday evening, watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report of an overdue vessel, the MARTY ANN, with three people on board,” the U.S. Coast Guard said, per the release. The boat was "last heard from on Friday afternoon."

A search for the trio covering "more than 2,042 square miles" was conducted by sea and air involving the Aviation Training Center Mobile HC-144 aircrew and response boat crews.

Hunter Slezak still missing: Boat carrying 2 men who died found as search enters fifth day

Authorities on Wednesday found the boat 7-year-old Hunter Slezak was in when he, his father and another man disappeared during a shrimping trip off Dauphin Island, said Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch.

As the search for Hunter entered its fifth day, there are still no signs of the missing boy, the sheriff said.

The boat has been secured, Burch said, and divers are in the water with sonar equipment searching for Hunter.

The sheriff said the cabin of the boat appeared to be detached from the vessel “and we have not located that.”

Authorities are usure whether Hunter was in the cabin when it capsized Friday, triggering a massive search that turned up the bodies of Hunter’s father, Michael Slezak, and Sam Wooley.

I really hope they locate him. His mother's post on FB says she just wants to be able to bury him. It is heartbreaking.

    His poor momma.

A search by law enforcement officials to find a missing 7-year-old has come to an end.

After searching two weeks by land, air and sea for the missing child his body has still not been recovered.

A funeral service was also held Sunday in memory of Hunter prior to the search ending.

    He was so freaking cute!

It doesnt seem right to see his picture in an obituary.
