Victoria Taylor (34) found dead in the river a month after she went missing from North Yorkshire

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-b2624292.html

The family of a missing mother said they are “sick, distraught and lost” as searches for the 34-year-old nurse continue.

Victoria Taylor went missing from her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, on Monday and a number of her personal possessions have been found close to the River Derwent.

Her fiancé, Matthew Williams, has pleaded for her to return to their family and two-year-old daughter.
North Yorkshire Police said extensive searches by officers and drones have been carried out, including the use of divers, and a CCTV still has been released of her at a garage in the town on Monday morning.

The force said Miss Taylor was last seen at 9am on Monday at her home in Malton.

I agree with BWS. I think she went in the river and probably intentionally. Very sad.

I am wondering if she had a mental break and went off somewhere and might actually still be alive.

Police have released a new CCTV image of a nurse who went missing a week ago.

Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton at about 09:00 BST on Monday 30 September and some of her possessions were later found by the River Derwent.

North Yorkshire Police said it had a new confirmed sighting of Ms Taylor, who is originally from Huddersfield, at Malton Bus Station at 11:53 BST on the day she went missing.

The force has said there is no suggestion of any "third-party" involvement in Ms Taylor's disappearance.

A blurry CCTV image from the bus station showed her wearing a camouflage green coloured cap, as well as a rucksack, light blue jeans and white trainers.

Her previously last known movement had been at 11:35 BST, when CCTV cameras captured her at a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of the town.

That would be great if it is the case.

A blurry photograph? How can they be sure it's her?

Maybe I am just really blind, but whenever the release a photo of someone and say confirmed sighting, I look at the pic and think that could be anyone haha.

I would be curious to see if they release any of that footage of "her."

Edited to add: I see the article contains that photo. She isn't even looking at the camera. I stand by my previous statement.

@Nic, it's the same thing as she was wearing that day and these towns are not exactly huge. For instance, if someone from my little town went missing and they had CCTV footage of her then found more footage of someone wearing the same thing, it would be no question that it's them since the population is too low for the coincidence of someone wearing the same thing on the same day.

If she was at a bus station with a rucksack, then I'm with RBW. It may not have even been a mental break. She just maybe wanted to start over with a new life. Ditch her stuff by the river to throw people off and make them believe she offed herself and then taken off to another place to start again. I wonder if she was in financial or legal trouble at all. Possibly even an abusive partner?

A body recovered from a river has been formally identified as missing mother-of-one Victoria Taylor.

Ms Taylor, 34, originally from Huddersfield, was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, and was reported missing on 1 October.

The care home nurse's disappearance sparked a major police response, with a body discovered in the River Derwent on Tuesday.

North Yorkshire Police said a post-mortem examination had been completed and a file was being prepared for the coroner.

I was kind of hoping she'd made a run for it to start a new life.
