Authorities are searching for a Beaverton woman who has not been seen since Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Melissa Marie Jubane, 32, was reported missing after she did not show up for work as a nurse at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Beaverton police.
Investigators describe Jubane as 5’2” and 120 pounds. Further information about the case has yet to be shared with the public.

Melissa Jubane and her husband Bryan Llantero live in the Portland area and were just in the islands for their wedding in Haleiwa last week.
Loved ones say Jubane mysteriously disappeared from her apartment in the suburb of Beaverton and have not heard from her since Wednesday morning.
Llantero is originally from Hawaii His sister Aimee told HNN their other brother is now in Portland to help find their sister-in-law.
Other relatives also plan to join the search.
She added that her brother Bryan is in the military and stationed in Washington state on active duty. He along with friends and family have not been able to get in contact with Jubane.
According to Beaverton police, 32-year-old Jubane was reported missing when she did not show up for work as a nurse at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.

She married her boyfriend of 10 years on Aug. 24, and had a ceremony with family and friends at Waimea Valley on Aug. 25.
Her husband is from Kalihi, and family members here at home are pleading for help in the search, and for anyone with information to come forward.
“She is very humble, she’s very pretty, she’s smart, she’s very intelligent, and very respectful,” said her mother-in-law back in Hawaii. “She’s like a daughter to me, she’s very close to me.”
The husband’s mother told KHON2 that the couple met about 10 years ago when Jubane was visiting Hawaii with her friends from Washington.
From there, Jubane and him would travel back and forth to see each other.
She said the couple flew home from the wedding on Aug. 31, but didn’t land until the early morning hours of Sept. 1.
From there, the newlyweds enjoyed Labor Day off, and on Tuesday Jubane went to work. But when she didn’t show up on Wednesday, her co-workers grew concerned.
Beaverton police said they searched her apartment complex Wednesday night and used a blood hound to search the property. They spoke to residents and found that she has made no phone calls and has not used her credit cards.
Their wedding has been removed from the Zola site.

Neighbor arrested after missing nurse's remains found
Early Saturday morning, police announced that officers arrested 27-year-old Bryce Johnathan Schubert Friday evening. They say he's charged with Melissa Jubane's murder. Police say Jubane's remains have been recovered. No other details were released.
Schubert is also a nurse. Possible [former?]co-workers? This comment was on the article:

Oh no! Horrible update. :( Another site shows the neighbor as a nurse as well- they included a photo of him at some presentation or maybe his graduation. At one point he worked at Providence too. Not sure if he still did.

I wonder if he was stalking her, and moved next door. Its no coincidence they worked at the same place and lived next to each other.
There's an article out there that claims that she had plans to find a new job in Washington State and move there to be with her husband. I wonder if the neighbor was either obsessed with her or (hate to say this) perhaps she had had an affair with him and between her getting married and upon learning that she would be moving away, killed her. Especially since it's been pointed out that he was also a nurse and had worked in the same hospital at one point. She and her husband had a long distance relationship this whole time so an affair wouldn't be out of the question.

Jubane went missing last Wednesday. She reportedly last locked the door to her apartment at 6:22 a.m. that day but didn’t show up to work at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center as expected. Her car was still parked in the apartment complex’s garage.
Three days after the initial police summons, Bryce Schubert, 37, of Beaverton was arrested in connection with Jubane’s disappearance.
Neighbors told KPTV that Schubert lived down the hall from Jubane in the same apartment complex. Some neighbors said they thought the suspect had acted in a strange manner in the days before his arrest.
Schubert had been employed as a nurse by Portland Providence Medical Center from September 2022 to October 2023, but the hospital said he no longer works there, according to KATU-TV.
The hospital said he did not ever work at the same hospital as Jubane.
Okay, then it's now proven that they didn't work at the same hospital.

Do they know for sure she locked her door? Did she let dude in? Its hard to imagine him kidnapping her in an apartment complex.

I wonder if it's one of those apartments where the attic space isn't separated like it's supposed to be (for fire codes). We've seen cases where someone got in the house that way.

I am guessing he grabbed her as she was locking her door. Most likely she was facing the door to lock it and didn't see him, it's a very vulnerable place to be in, your back is turned to everything.
Happy Birthday! I hid a dead body in your backyard to celebrate. Good luck finding it under the cement. You can only use a stick to look for it.
