There weren’t as many mail in ballots this time because Covid isn’t as prevalent as last time. I’ve never felt so empty and hopeless in my life.

Even so many Democrats that I have talked to don't seem to grasp how much life in the US is about to change now that he is coming back and has the House and Senate AND SCOTUS so absolutely ZERO checks and balances in place. His last presidency was nothing compared to all of the things he is about to take from the average American. I have read that Hispanics and young men turned to Trump in record numbers in this election.

Black students at multiple universities are reportedly receiving racist text messages regarding picking cotton and slavery. In screenshots shared by The Neighborhood Talk, the co-eds are being told to report to specific locations for transportation to a plantation for unpaid labor.

“Greetings, you have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation. Be ready at 1:00 pm SHARP with your belongings. Our Executive Slaves will come get you in a Brown Van, be prepared to be searched down once you’ve enter the plantation. You are in Plantation Group C. Good day.”

According to The Crimson White, the student-run University newspaper, it is confirmed that Black students are being targeted with the eerie anonymous communication.

Student Hailey Welch detailed to the newspaper, “I thought it was a joke,” discussing how several people began to share the racist memos throughout the day across social media. She also did not attend class out of fear for her safety.

Welch also claims that on Wednesday after the presidential election was called for Donald Trump, two men, likely students, wearing MAGA hats verbally attacked her with racial slurs telling her to “go back from where she came.”

I'm enjoying reading the Leopards ate my face subreddit. It's amazing how many people voted for something horrible because they thought it would be done to other people, and now they are freaking out since they have realized they will also be affected by it.

How the fuck can so many people not realized that we will pay for tariffs through higher prices?

How can so many dumbasses think 'getting rid of Obamacare is great because I have my awesome ACA'?!

Why do so many immigrants (especially Latino men) think they or their family won't be deported (even though they or their family are here illegally) because they work hard, or Trump didn't mean them?

All the old Trump voters that rely on Medicare or SS that are now panicking are unreal.

There was an argument on my street, a guy across the street from me either has his daughter or some roommate living there....and they were both screaming at each other. He was mad that she voted for trump. It was amusing to listen to. At the end, he told her to get her shit out of the house or he was going to have a garage sale hahaha.

We went out to lunch and did some shopping yesterday. Long story short, it was weird. People seemed like zombies just walking around mindlessly.

Yeah, people here in Ireland don't understand why anyone voted for him. I've come across quite a few people here that are uninformed that think he's good, but that's because a tiny fraction of the news about him is shared here. They truly are ignorant, UNLIKE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WHO KNEW EXACTLY WHO HE IS. But for the most part the Irish are mystified by it. I'm very thankful for people at my job. They are very sympathetic towards me and my feelings right now and there's at least 3 people here that know just as much about the ins and outs of it as I do. There is ONE guy that was harassing me about it before the election and everyone (including me) thought he was joking about supporting him at first. I asked him to stop doing it and left it at that. The next day while I was working from home, he was at lunch in front of everyone (including the CEO) talking about how he was looking forward to him winning because he's "A Man of the People" and that his crypto currency would go up. They were stunned to hear him. Also that day, he sent pictures of Trump to me via email after I had asked him to please stop.

Now......I didn't take any action against him even though my husband thought I should, but I didn't have to. I mentioned it informally to my boss and they already have reservations about him because of how he was acting the following day when I wasn't even in office. I don't want to say in what capacity he works with us, but the concern is how he relates to the young people in our care having these beliefs. They take these things very seriously here when it comes to the young people in our care.

Anyway, one co-worker took him aside after hearing me asking him to please stop. He explained why he should just lay off of it with me, that I have family and loved ones that I'm worried about back home. I have not seen him in office since the election so we will see if he brings it up or not. If he does and starts mocking me, I'm putting in a formal complaint. I don't want to rock the boat and I don't want to look overly sensitive, but there's zero reason why I should put up with harassment over Trump at my office in Ireland and especially when I've asked him to stop.

I'm seeing plenty of surprised Pikachu faces after learning that they aren't immune to what's about to happen. They truly thought that they wouldn't be affected by the bullshit which is almost worse. So you were OKAY WITH OTHERS suffering and said "sign me up". FUCK YOU. We tried to tell you and your stupid ass voted to shoot yourself in the face.
